Obsessive Tycoon and His Swan Girl -
Chapter 204 - 204 204 Do You Think the Assassin Alliance Is
Chapter 204: Chapter 204: Do You Think the Assassin Alliance Is Dead? Chapter 204: Chapter 204: Do You Think the Assassin Alliance Is Dead? “You’re not hurt, are you?” Qin Jingchen’s throat tightened, and he held his breath.
He then realized that her voice was very calm, without any of the agitation that follows an incident.
His men were hurrying to both sides, one group to support Fen Ye and another to protect Jiang Zhe along her route.
Of course, Jiang Zhe was their top priority.
“I’m fine,” Jiang Zhe said, “I’m going to hang up now.”
After a brief short circuit, Jiang Zhe dealt with the man in black and managed to fix her phone; while the exterior was damaged, thankfully all the functions remained intact.
Qin Jingchen’s fingers relaxed, and the red in the depths of his eyes gradually faded away.
In the cramped space of the car, a man’s laughter could be heard moments later.
Jiang Zhe knew she didn’t need to worry about Qin Jingchen since his men were already with her.
If something had happened to him, he wouldn’t have had the time to direct so many people to her.
“I’ll go rest in the car for a bit,” Jiang Zhe told Qin He.
Qin He was busy coordinating the newcomers to handle the aftermath when he heard Jiang Zhe’s voice, he looked at her as if he were staring at a deity, and immediately came forward to help her open the door of a car.
Everything that had just happened felt like a dream. Qin He had gone through countless life-and-death situations, and nothing could shock him anymore.
But just now, he truly experienced the most unbelievable thing in his life.
A delicate-looking girl had hurt so many people, and it was one thing for her to injure many, but to injure so many armed men!
Qin He had thought that he might not make it out alive today, but now he was surprisingly unharmed.
“Don’t disturb me unless it’s important,” Jiang Zhe said as she got in the car, poured out a heap of chewing gum, chewed it to mask the bloody smell in her nose, and closed her eyes, unwilling to see the scene outside.
Not until someone knocked on the car window did she roll it down and saw Qin Jingchen’s face against the backlight.
The halo came from behind him, casting shadows on his features on his face, not entirely clear, but she knew it didn’t need to be to know he was good-looking.
The scent of sandalwood faintly emanated from the man, something Jiang Zhe hadn’t smelled for a long time. Now, smelling it again, calmed and soothed her.
The slight impatience and irritability in her heart eased.
Seeing Jiang Zhe sitting in the car, unharmed, Qin Jingchen’s heart completely relaxed, and the last hint of blood-red in his eyes cleared away.
He said in an exceptionally soft voice, “Get in my car.”
Jiang Zhe could hear the hoarseness in his voice, which she hadn’t recognized over the phone and didn’t seem to have recovered even now.
She guessed that with so many people on her side, there were likely just as many on his side.
It seemed that these people were after him and not so much concerned with her.
So, she obligingly got out of the car and got into Qin Jingchen’s car.
Qin Jingchen saw the clarity in her eyes, devoid of any fear, just a hint of fatigue and impatience.
In front of so many people, it was impossible for Qin He to have kept her completely safe.
So…
Without dwelling on it, Qin Jingchen reached out and took her hand, which was still slightly cool. Holding her hand, he felt grounded, and his heart settled into place.
Noticing a faint cut on her wrist, he held her hand and brought it to his lips.
Jiang Zhe got into his car and sat beside him. She felt his breath stabilize from chaos and smelled a hint of blood.
“Are you hurt?” she asked.
Qin Jingchen then remembered that before he arrived, his arm had been grazed by a bullet.
“It’s not important, just a superficial wound,” Qin Jingchen assured her, not really concerned, as such injuries weren’t very painful.
Jiang Zhe frowned slightly, “Alcohol and gauze.”
The car sped towards the airport, followed by more than a dozen vehicles, all bodyguards, fully armed.
Looking for some alcohol and gauze wouldn’t be difficult.
Qin Jingchen had someone bring over some items, and Jiang Zhe took them, pulled up his sleeve to look, and noticed it was a graze from a bullet wound, but fortunately it wasn’t serious and could be patched up with some simple bandaging.
“I’ll do it myself,” Qin Jingchen said, taking the alcohol and pouring it directly onto the wound.
Jiang Zhe didn’t say anything and only helped to bandage him up after the wound was disinfected.
By the time the car reached the airport, Fen Ye had received backup and resolved the problem.
Fen Ye rushed over, and upon seeing Jiang Zhe was fine, he breathed a sigh of relief, “Jingchen, the private jet has arrived.”
Qin Jingchen originally didn’t want to make a fuss and had bought plane tickets.
But since this incident had occurred, a private jet was definitely needed.
“Have Qin Qing ensure the jet’s safety.”
“Don’t worry, it’s all arranged.”
“Oh, and for Ms. Luo over there, please arrange for someone to give a hand,” Jiang Zhe said, though she had actually already arranged for people to do so.
However, someone still needed to make an official visit ostensibly.
“Rest assured, sis-in-law, I’ve already sent someone. Ms. Luo is just a teacher; no one would target her,” Fen Ye assured.
Jiang Zhe nodded.
Upon boarding the private plane, it took off quickly and entered the clouds.
Jiang Zhe turned on her terribly cracked phone and saw that there were flashing messages in the group chat.
[Yang Feiliu can’t fly]: Holy shit, Xiaozhe, who the hell had the audacity to lay hands on you?
[JZ]: A trifle, just some practice.
[Chicibuchiyu]: Who? Dead man!
[It’s Mo Ye not Sam]: Who dared to touch the boss? Do they think the Assassin Alliance is dead or something? Speak up! I’ll help you get even!
[Tiaotiaohu]: Yes, I’ll send Sam over, and he’ll bite them to death!
[It’s Mo Ye not Sam]: It’s me who should be setting you loose, okay? Kitten!
[JZ]: It has nothing to do with you guys, end of discussion.
[Tiaotiaohu]: See, Sam, the boss doesn’t think much of your kitty kung fu at all.
[It’s Mo Ye not Sam]: Obviously, he thinks your meowing kung fu is even worse!
Not wanting to see their banter, Jiang Zhe left the group chat, and Yang Feiliu sent a private message asking, “It wouldn’t be about Lisi, would it?”
“The majority of the fire was aimed at Qin Jingchen. But I can’t rule out Lisi.”
“Oh, that’s fine then,” Yang Feiliu said, not particularly concerned about Qin Jingchen’s well-being, “Fen Ye’s face wasn’t hurt, was it?”
Jiang Zhe: “…”
She closed the chat window, having nothing to say to someone like Yang Feiliu, who purely worshipped physical attractiveness.
After putting down her phone, Qin He came over with a steak and milk, looking at her with adoring eyes.
Feeling genuinely hungry, Jiang Zhe gestured for him to set it down and picked up the knife and fork.
Qin Jingchen was also leisurely cutting his steak.
Fen Ye had some news he wanted to share, but upon glancing at Jiang Zhe, he swallowed it instead.
“What is it? Spit it out,” Qin Jingchen said.
“It’s about what just happened,” Fen Ye said, worried it might frighten Jiang Zhe.
Moreover, many things were beyond Jiang Zhe’s understanding anyway.
Qin He also had much to say, having not yet had the chance to discuss with everyone the skills Jiang Zhe had demonstrated just now, leaving him feeling quite frustrated.
“Just say it,” Qin Jingchen declared, glancing over Jiang Zhe’s face.
He had nothing to hide from her anymore.
