Obsessive Tycoon and His Swan Girl
Chapter 107 - 107 107 Dont Want to Let Her Go

Chapter 107: Chapter 107: Don’t Want to Let Her Go Chapter 107: Chapter 107: Don’t Want to Let Her Go Jiang Fanyue was publicly humiliated by Xu Jin tonight and didn’t leave with the crowd. Instead, she waited alone until everyone else had left before she came out.

And just then, she happened to encounter Jiang Zhe, who was surrounded by people as he appeared.

Her already pale face became even more strained. How did Jiang Zhe just come out? Wasn’t she supposed to have no ticket at all?

Could it be that Jiang Zhe was also seated in the inner field?

Jiang Zhe didn’t pay any attention to Jiang Fanyue at all, maintaining his usual walking pace, and when he reached her side, he didn’t glance sideways. He strode forward with his long legs exuding a cool aura.

Jiang Fanyue felt a huge sense of grievance inside as she was ignored. She was about to move forward when Zhang Xi, along with a group of students, came over.

Everyone looked at Jiang Fanyue with sympathetic eyes, showing feelings of sympathy, surprise, and astonishment in their gazes.

It was clear they all understood what Xu Jin had said and also knew that what Jiang Fanyue had previously claimed was not true at all.

However, because they had all received tickets from Jiang Fanyue, they avoided showing emotions such as contempt or disdain.

Zhang Xi said, “Fanyue, we were all looking for you. Don’t worry, if Xu Jin doesn’t acknowledge you as a friend, we consider you as a friend.”

This attempt at comfort only made Jiang Fanyue feel worse. Was it friends that she lacked?

Seeing her pale face and tightly clenched hands, the others didn’t say much and quickly left, making some excuse or another.

“Are you alright, Fanyue?” Zhang Xi asked in a low voice, not daring to speak too loudly. Jiang Fanyue’s complexion was too unsettling, even startling Zhang Xi.

“I’m fine,” Jiang Fanyue forced a smile, “I’ll head back first.”

As she got into the car, Liang Jinlan’s call came through.

Jiang Fanyue didn’t want to answer, but the phone rang incessantly, forcing her to pick it up.

“What’s going on, Fanyue? Why are the celebrities who were supposed to borrow clothes saying they won’t anymore? The merchants who signed contracts with us to buy clothes are also backing out?” Liang Jinlan’s tone was hurried and terse, filled with deep rebuke.

Jiang Fanyue was exhausted trying to cope, and before she could think of a good response, Liang Jinlan continued to press: “What exactly happened? Didn’t you say there would be no problems? Why are there so many issues now? Our clothes are already in mass production, so tell me, what are we going to do?”

“Mom, I’m sorry, tonight Xu Jin he exposed me in public, now everyone knows I’m not his friend,” Jiang Fanyue didn’t know how to complete her sentence.

She also didn’t know what consequences she’d face after saying it.

After she spoke, she suddenly thought of Jiang Zhe as if clutching at a lifeline: “Jiang Zhe, Jiang Zhe was at the concert tonight too! It must have been her, doing something behind the scenes again; otherwise, this wouldn’t have happened!”

Sure enough, Liang Jinlan’s attention was diverted by her words, and she was furiously gritting her teeth: “Jiang Zhe! It’s always Jiang Zhe!”

As Jiang Zhe walked, she felt her phone vibrate and took it out for a quick glance.

The call had already stopped ringing, and that’s when she noticed the numerous missed calls from Qin Jingchen and the messages he had sent on WeChat.

They were all from before the concert started. She hadn’t checked her phone during the concert and hadn’t expected Qin Jingchen to have sent so many.

After a quick scan of the messages, she made the call back.

The phone only rang once before it was answered on the other end.

Jiang Zhe spoke indifferently, “Something up?”

There seemed to be a clenched-teeth sound from Qin Jingchen on the other end, his voice grave, “Can’t I find you if there’s no problem?”

That was indeed true, and after thinking for a moment, Jiang Zhe responded, “Hmm, I’m outside, haven’t returned to the school yet.”

“At the concert venue?” The voice on the other end was still low and heavy.

The usually clear and pleasant voice seemed tinged with a touch of dust.

“Right,” Jiang Zhe said, sensing something. She lifted her eyes and saw, not far off, the figure of Qin Jingchen.

The sky had already turned dark and thick, but tonight the lights were bright, illuminating outside, leaving no shadow untouched.

The man was wearing a light trench coat, which sculpted his figure even more erect and impressive.

Jiang Zhe hung up the phone, greeted Xia Enci, telling them not to wait for her, before she turned around to walk towards Qin Jingchen.

The light was bright, yet a certain darkness seemed to envelop him, obscuring the distinct clarity of his black and white eyes.

As Jiang Zhe approached, she nonchalantly slipped her phone into her backpack, “I’ve finished watching, was just about to head back to school.”

“I’ll give you a ride,” Qin Jingchen said softly, his voice deep and raspy.

“Okay,” Jiang Zhe replied, unhurriedly reaching to open the car door.

Just as she was about to open it, a palm from behind supported hers on the car door, and the voice of Qin Jingchen came from behind her, “That tie Xu Jin was wearing, you sent it?”

Qin Jingchen was always gentle, apparently treating everyone with kindness, but Jiang Zhe knew that, just like water, gentleness was not his immutable temperament. When danger arose, the undercurrent swirled, and no one could withstand it.

Just like now, his voice was extremely oppressive, coming from behind her, penetrating her eardrums.

Jiang Zhe only then remembered the matter of Xu Jin’s tie, followed by the recollection of agreeing to use her photo for the cover of his album.

The cover probably hadn’t hit the market yet, but it wasn’t surprising that Qin Jingchen could see it in advance.

Jiang Zhe thought about the photo for a moment and said, “It was a gift from me. I made it myself.”

She didn’t turn around, but the oppressive feeling coming from behind her intensified.

The man seemed to be restraining something with great effort.

But what exactly it was, Jiang Zhe had no idea.

She turned around easily amidst his pressure. Although Qin Jingchen’s oppressive aura was heavy, she was well adapted to it. Looking up at him, she asked, “Designer, okay?”

It seemed Qin Jingchen remembered something, touching his nose tip lightly, “Mm, designer.”

His voice returned to its usual clarity. Below his prominent features, the teardrop mole at the corner of his eye glimmered, grabbing Jiang Zhe’s hand and bringing it to his lips.

Jiang Zhe felt his soft chuckle and the hot breath seeping into her palm.

Her palm was cool, dropping temperature even further, but his scorching breath was comforting to her.

“Get in the car first,” Qin Jingchen said, opening the car door while still holding her hand.

The car’s air conditioning was set to a perfect temperature. After Jiang Zhe settled in, warmth spread throughout her body.

Qin Jingchen got into the car and handed her a cup of hot tea that had been prepared in advance.

Jiang Zhe took it, holding it in her palms. The comforting warmth enveloped her completely, leaving no part untouched.

After taking a couple sips of tea, she asked, “Where are we going?”

“Back to Lushan Courtyard,” Qin Jingchen informed her, and also made it known to Qin Hai.

Tonight, he didn’t want to let her go back anywhere else.

Qin Hai drove earnestly in the direction of Lushan Courtyard, his nerves, which had been on edge just moments before, finally settling back into calmness.

He had witnessed the blood-red hue of Qin Jingchen’s eyes and the emotions that were hard to suppress, as if a beast dwelt inside of him, charging from side to side, trying to roar its way out.

But when Jiang Zhe appeared, these emotions had been halved.
