Chapter 97: Chapter 97: The Man Who Loves to Play Rogue (2)

What do you mean "forget it"? Sophie felt a bit unwilling and could only continue her protest.

"These clothes are really uncomfortable to wear."

"Uncomfortable? If you’re uncomfortable, let me help you out."

Sophie had yet to process what Asher Land meant when he pushed her to the corner and locked the door behind him.

"What are you doing?"

"Didn’t you say it was uncomfortable to wear? Then just take it off." His large hand reached around her back and, with a strong pull, ripped the dress zipper open.

"Hey, you..."

Now the issue wasn’t just about whether the clothes were comfortable or not, it was that she might end up without any clothes to wear!

"Asher Land, you scoundrel!"

Asher didn’t care what she thought of him at the moment. Since she called him a scoundrel, he might as well act unscrupulously.

And so, another round of tender passion ensued.

Sophie wrapped herself tightly with the blanket, glaring at the tattered clothing on the ground with irritation.

Lying beside her, Asher, however, acted as if nothing happened and was even smiling with satisfaction.

"I’ve never seen a man so fond of being a scoundrel!"

"That’s not fair. Just now you looked pretty pleased yourself. Why am I suddenly the scoundrel after all is done?" Asher said with feigned grievance.

"You..." Sophie’s face flushed red in an instant. It was just a natural physiological response, but the way he put it made her a bit embarrassed.

"Alright, if you enjoyed it, I don’t mind being even more of a scoundrel." The man continued unabashedly.

"Shouldn’t you think about the clothes situation? I can’t even leave the room now."

"Well, that’s perfect. You can stay in bed every day, isn’t that more beneficial for me?" Sophie knew Asher was joking with her, so she restrained her inner turmoil and looked at him seriously.

"I think you should keep a few sets of women’s clothes at home. What if next time you bring another woman back and run into the same situation? How awkward would that be?" Sophie kindly reminded.

"By the way, when you brought other women home before, what did you do if you ruined their clothes?"

Was this woman deliberately trying to provoke him? Why was it always about bringing another woman home this and another woman home that? Ever since getting together with her, he had rarely been with other women.

Asher suddenly went silent, and Sophie’s heart skipped a beat. He wasn’t going to really decide not to give her clothes, was he?

"In your heart, am I still a man who loves playing around with women?"

He turned his head to look at her, his eyes showing a genuine sincerity that made Sophie pause.

How should she answer him? Yes, or no?

"At least in others’ eyes, that’s indeed how you are."

All the crew, including Wyatt Sterling and the others, believed Asher Land had many women around him. To them, he could even have two women at once, like her and Anna. And that was indeed the case, wasn’t it?

"I was asking about what’s in your heart." His tone inexplicably turned more severe.

"I think the same," Sophie replied without thinking.

"You see it the same way they do?" There was a slight imperceptible hint of disappointment in Asher’s eyes that Sophie did not notice.

"Isn’t that so? You brought Anna back to our apartment and did those things."
