Chapter 191: Chapter 191: Cheering Him Up (Part 3)

The woman’s heavily made-up face had turned pale, and the three men before her were all tall and strong, as hungry as wolves. How could she endure this? She was sure to be played to death.

"No, sir, I... I regret it. Could you just pretend I never said those things?" The woman clutched Asher Land’s sleeve tightly, pleading bitterly.

"Didn’t you say you were good in bed?" Asher Land’s lips curled into a cold, merciless smile, "I’m just here to verify that with others."

"No! I’m begging you..." How brave she must have been to even think of making a move on this man here. She regretted it, regretted it to her core.

"What are you standing there for, don’t want to earn money?" Asher Land shot a cold glare over, causing the men to receive their orders and drag the woman towards the private room.

The noisy bar had fallen into a strange silence due to Asher Land’s violent incident, now only filled with the woman’s loud and desperate screams!

He frowned in displeasure, reached out, grabbed a bottle of liquor, and poured it down his mouth.

His mind was full of her image; all his emotions had been tightly gripped ever since that woman appeared. He hated himself for being this way.

...

Sophie Smith didn’t sleep a wink the entire night.

It wasn’t until the horizon started to lighten that she turned off the light she’d left on all night in the master bedroom.

Standing by the window, she stared out somewhat vacantly into the distance. He hadn’t returned all night; where could he have gone?

She thought he shouldn’t dwell on her absence from the party; Irene Morton was more suited to that event, wasn’t she?

She didn’t know how long she’d been standing at the window, only felt her legs and feet grow numb. Just as she was about to turn around and sit for a bit, she accidentally noticed a red sports car drive into the Land Family’s villa.

She remembered that last night Asher Land seemed to have driven out in that car.

Without much thought, she ran downstairs barefoot.

Downstairs.

Robert Williams was supporting the drunken and senseless Asher Land into the living room. Irene Morton, who was flipping through a magazine on the sofa, quickly rushed over upon seeing him.

"Brother Asher, why did you drink so much!" Irene Morton frowned deeply, rushing around in a panic, "Nanny Garcia, go make some hangover soup!"

"And hurry to run the bathwater!"

"Robert, help Brother Asher to the sofa to sit."

"..."

Thus, Sophie Smith had just come downstairs and was greeted by this chaotic scene.

The servants were coming and going, dashing up and down, it was a chaotic mess.

Sophie Smith looked through the crowd and saw Asher Land lying on the sofa.

His eyes were tightly shut; even though he was hopelessly drunk, he wasn’t behaving excessively. He was just lying there quietly, unconscious.

Sophie Smith just wanted to go over but was accidentally pushed aside by a passing servant.

"Oh dear, Miss Smith, you should go back to your room and rest," Nanny Garcia pushed her toward the stairs, "It’s a mess here, the young master is drunk like this, you shouldn’t add to the chaos."

Sophie Smith was speechless; now she was an outsider here.

Irene Morton and Nanny Garcia were busy as could be, and it seemed there really was nothing for her to do. For some reason, she felt a bit lost inside.

She turned sadly, about to go upstairs, when Nanny Garcia called her.

"Miss Smith, there is a matter I need your help with later."

"What?" She came to herself, a hint of expectation she didn’t even realize crossed her face.

"Later, would you help bathe the young master? After all in the Land Family, only you..."

Only she was suitable.
