Sophie Smith didn’t know if she was truly mad at Asher Land.

For the past four years, she had always blamed the Golden Era Consortium for her mother’s death, but the truth was, it was his father who cheated first, along with the stepmother, doing unspeakable things.

So, perhaps the reason she eased her anger towards him was because she felt a bit guilty for wrongly blaming him.

Her head rested on his broad arm, and she took a deep breath from the bottom of her heart.

"Just sleep peacefully."

He noticed her exhaustion, though he didn’t know what had happened, but he hoped that when she was by his side, she could let her guard down.

"It’s getting late, I have to go to the company, I have a schedule this morning." Sophie deliberately changed the subject.

"I’ll take you there."

After hearing Sophie’s refusal, Asher Land’s face immediately darkened.

Sophie thought for a moment but then changed her mind, "You can drop me off near the company."

Of course, she was afraid of people discovering her relationship with Asher Land, but someone was in a bad mood now.

Asher Land dropped her off at the company entrance, and just as Sophie was about to get out of the car, he pulled her back.

"Is there anything else?"

He domineeringly pulled her body close to him, and then a gentle, honey-sweet kiss swept over her.
