Chapter 167: Chapter 167 Do Not Want to Be Associated with the Demon Anymore (2)
Didn’t she realize this clearly the first time she saw him?
He got up, walked past her, without pausing.
"Where are you going?" Sophie blocked his way, "I want you to make it clear."
"Make it clear?" He thought the matter was already clear enough.
"The matter is as you think, I destroy whoever I want."
His face showed no expression; she was challenging his limits. He hated her mentioning other men over and over in front of him!
Asher Land walked into the company building, pressing the president’s exclusive elevator. Sophie followed behind him, unsure of her own purpose. Perhaps, she still held a trace of fantasy in her heart; Asher’s influence in Eastern City was immense. Wanting him to help Wyatt Sterling out of trouble was not wrong; he was merely paying the price for his own mistake.
"Are you getting in or not?" Asher stood inside the elevator, asking her who hesitated outside.
Sophie remained silent, entering the elevator.
"If you regret it, you can make amends," Sophie spoke up.
"Regret? Wait for the next life."
"You..."
People are made of flesh and blood. How could he be so cold-blooded, so cruel?
She followed him all the way to the office; he sat at his desk while she still stood before him.
Is she done yet, or is that man really so important to her?
"I’ll say it again. Don’t expect any guilt from me regarding this issue."
Sophie used almost all of her self-control to restrain her urge to argue and bicker with him.
"What will it take for you to consider giving Wyatt Sterling a chance?"
Is she negotiating terms with him? Unyielding still?
"If I say, for Wyatt Sterling, I want you to please me with your body..."
He didn’t continue this line.
Sophie’s body trembled; she could naturally understand his words.
"I’ve given you my body so many times already; are you sure you want that as a bargaining chip?" Sophie sneered. She wouldn’t willingly please him, but for Wyatt Sterling, she was willing.
"Besides your body, do you have any capital to negotiate with me?"
He was deliberately humiliating her, but compared to before, she could be much more composed now. Being with such a sharp-tongued and cunning man, if she took things seriously, it would only add to her own troubles.
She slowly approached him, sitting on his lap.
"If you want me to please you, I can start now."
Her small hand went to his shirt, undoing the first button.
Sure enough, things weren’t so simple when it came to Wyatt Sterling for her.
"Have you thought it through?"
She nodded.
In the closed office, a brief moment of tenderness; the atmosphere was so ambiguous, it made one’s face flush. She leaned powerlessly against him, the male aura from him spreading, reddening her cheeks.
"You can’t go back on your word for what you promised me." Her voice was slightly breathless.
"What did I promise you?"
"You..." Sophie stared at him incredulously; he was pretending to know nothing. Could it be she’d been fooled by him again?
"You said, if I was willing to please you, you would..." She was silenced, as he didn’t promise anything. He never actually said he would help Wyatt Sterling out of trouble.
"What would I do?" A faint smile curved at the corner of his mouth.
"Asher Land, how can you be so despicable!"
He was just a shrewd fox, always manipulating her at every turn.
"Is it fun to toy with people?" She questioned.
"If it’s like this, it does feel pretty good."
