Chapter 122: Chapter 122: Valentine’s Day Gift (Part 3)
"Then you go ahead and keep busy." Sophie Smith issued the order to leave.
"Sophie, what do you mean?" Asher Land grabbed her wrist and pulled her into his arms, "Today is Valentine’s Day, I especially came to be with you, and you’re just trying to chase me away?"
"Well, what about the Valentine’s Day gift then?" A fake smile appeared on her face, even making herself feel a bit sick, "I heard you gave Leila Lee a gold card and sent Rose Sterling 999 roses, and tonight Anna is going to accompany you, so you..."
"Are you jealous?" Asher Land laughed heartily, feeling inexplicably better, which was enough proof that she actually cared about him.
"I don’t have the time for that." Sophie Smith pushed him away, walked to the side, and deliberately kept her distance from him.
"The so-called gold card and roses were arranged by my secretary without my instruction. I just asked the secretary to handle those women because they were too annoying."
Evidently, he didn’t understand her at all. What she cared about was not him giving gifts to those women, but the fact that he had so many women yet wouldn’t let her go.
"The gift you received today is much more precious than theirs," Asher Land said, "I am your gift today."
"Pfft!" Sophie nearly choked on the water she hadn’t swallowed yet. He was really something else.
"Such a precious gift, I really can’t accept," Sophie retorted sarcastically.
"How can you not accept it?" He gave a charming smile, "I promise to serve you well and ensure your satisfaction."
"Is that so?" Sophie turned her gaze, as if she had an idea.
"Yes." With that, Asher Land’s large hand began to act restlessly on her back, his lips moving closer to her cheek, but Sophie quickly turned her head, making him miss.
"Now what?" Asher Land asked, dissatisfied.
"Could you help clean up the table first? And then wash the dishes," Sophie said.
"What did you say?" Asher Land thought he heard wrong.
"I said, help clean up the table first, and then wash the dishes," she repeated seriously.
"Impossible!" The man coldly refused.
"But didn’t you say you would ensure my satisfaction?"
"I meant, to satisfy you in other ways," Asher Land shamelessly said, word by word.
Sophie knew he wasn’t up to any good, so she had to take this opportunity to really mess with him.
"I think if later I remember my table isn’t cleaned, and my dishes aren’t washed, I won’t be satisfied no matter where I am."
He was stunned by her seemingly ’strong’ reasoning, and hesitantly walked over to the dining table with a sullen face.
The moment to witness a miracle was arriving; Asher Land was going to wash dishes and clean the table. Sophie couldn’t contain her excitement and secretly took out her phone.
Asher Land furrowed his handsome brows, putting the dishes and chopsticks from the table into the kitchen.
He tied on her light blue apron, standing in what seemed to him a slightly cramped and narrow kitchen, washing dishes. Against the light, one could have the fleeting illusion that he belonged here, belonging to this not very big home.
In short, the scene was simply unbelievable, she aimed her phone at him, quietly capturing his back.
This was her first Valentine’s Day gift, and she surely needed to cherish it well.
