After dinner, Lin Xinlan took Xiaotian back to her bedroom for a nap.

She had chosen a guest room on the first floor to stay in, although she had considered moving out of the villa.

But she wouldn’t leave; she promised him she would never leave him.

He’s just suffering from amnesia now; he doesn’t remember her.

But that doesn’t mean he isn’t Rong Shaoze anymore.

As long as he is Rong Shaoze, she won’t leave; she will wait for the day he regains his memory or falls in love with her again.

Besides, the threat from Yuan Ye hasn’t been eliminated; danger still exists.

If she moves out and encounters danger, it would only cause trouble for Rong Shaoze.

In the evening, Rong Shaoze worked in his study late before returning to his bedroom to rest.

Lin Xinlan wasn’t in the room, and he felt much more at ease. That night, he had a good sleep.

The next morning, when he went downstairs, Lin Xinlan and Xiaocong were sitting at the dining table having breakfast.

Lin Xinlan had just finished eating. She stood up and said, "Xiaocong, hurry up and eat. I’ll take you to school in a bit."

"Oh."

After saying that, she returned to her room to change clothes, only glancing at him without saying anything else.

Rong Shaoze walked to the dining table and sat down. Lao Gu brought him his breakfast.

Xiaocong looked up at him and suddenly began eating faster. Then he put down his chopsticks and left, seemingly unwilling to see him.

He also didn’t greet him or call him Dad.

Rong Shaoze’s gaze deepened as he ate his food quietly. Soon after, Lin Xinlan changed her clothes and came out; Xiaocong, carrying his school bag, proactively went up to hold her hand.

The mother and son chatted and laughed, ignoring Rong Shaoze’s presence, and left.

Rong Shaoze lost his appetite after a few bites. He wiped his mouth and went to work.

Throughout the day, he felt distracted and lacked energy.

He knew that Lin Xinlan and Xiaocong’s disregard made him feel uncomfortable.

No matter what, in his view, they were his closest family and shouldn’t treat him so coldly.

But he also understood that their attitude towards him was the consequence of his own actions.

"Boss, there’s a banquet tomorrow night. Would you like to attend?" Secretary Su knocked and entered, respectfully asking him.

"What kind of banquet?"

"It’s a banquet for the development of the new commercial district. We have investments in the new commercial district. I suggest attending." Secretary Su said boldly.

If she were speaking to the non-amnesiac Rong Shaoze, she wouldn’t dare to make suggestions.

But since he had amnesia, many things required her input, and she felt emboldened to offer her suggestions.

Rong Shaoze nodded, "If it’s necessary, make the preparations."

"Okay. I’ll inform Madam so she can prepare in advance."

She wasn’t his Madam, but his ex-wife.

Moreover, the two were in a cold war; she wouldn’t accompany him to the banquet.

"No need. You accompany me. We don’t need a female companion; we’re just there for business." Rong Shaoze said indifferently.

Secretary Su nodded and backed out.

The next day, Rong Shaoze went to the company and didn’t return. He also didn’t tell Lin Xinlan about attending the banquet.

She bathed Xiaotian, fed him, then handed him over to the Maternity Matron to take care of.

Xiaocong was practicing martial arts in the training room. Since his return, he has become more diligent in practicing martial arts. Lin Xinlan didn’t stop him; she just watched from the side and advised him to rest when he was too tired.
