Chapter 157: Chapter 155 I’m Not Interested 【2 Updates】

"Are you in such a hurry?" Liam looked at her eager demeanor, reached out his right hand, and touched her lips to remove a rice grain from the corner.

Maya rolled her eyes at his small gesture and seriously reminded him, "Be more respectful!"

"Why are you in such a rush? You know I’ve seen and touched every part of you." Liam was very turned off by her rejection.

Maya, hearing his teasing words, blushed a bright red, and with a "bang!" she threw her chopsticks at Liam, hitting him squarely in the face.

The man looked at her temper, stood up from the chair with a "swish!" and walked towards the door without even glancing back.

Maya watched his back with anger and added defiantly, "I was just scaring you, the child isn’t yours."

"Bang!" The only response was the sound of him angrily slamming the door.

After the man left, Maya impatiently walked into the bathroom, looked at her fatigued self in the mirror, gently rubbed her belly with her right hand, sighed deeply, turned back to the hospital room, lay on the bed, and stared motionlessly at the moon outside the window.

With her mind in turmoil, she couldn’t sleep, and stayed in a chaotic, restless state until four a.m., when she gradually drifted off to sleep.

Outside the hospital room, Liam did not leave; rather, he sat on the bench, quietly keeping watch over the girl inside the room. He told himself that his actions had nothing to do with her, that he only cared about the child inside her because it was his child.

He was afraid Maya would make a rash decision and lose the baby.

Their interaction continued until eight a.m. the next morning, when Jane Spencer and Lillian Morris arrived together.

At the hospital room door, Jane Spencer was annoyed when she saw her brother sitting at the entrance and pulled him up from the chair directly, asking, "Why are you sitting here?"

Liam paid little attention to his sister’s reaction, merely lifting his wrist to check the time on his watch and said, "Maya slept late yesterday; you should go back first and let her sleep a bit longer."

Maya directly ignored her brother’s suggestion, angrily asking, "Did you sit here all night?"

"Brother-in-law, could you please take my sister back?" Liam continued to disregard her.

Lillian saw Jane’s emotional state, reached out to pull her away, as this was in front of Maya’s hospital room, and if Maya knew about Jane’s emotional state, she would surely take it badly.

Jane Spencer usually seemed pretty easy-going, but she fiercely defended this brother, not allowing anyone to bully him.

Besides, who would dare disrespect her brother in S City?

However, this Little Demon Maya kept giving attitude to her brother over and over again. Did she think having a baby made her special? Liam wanted a child, and pretty girls holding hands could circle the Pacific Ocean. Maya was too arrogant, taking herself too seriously and couldn’t just let things go.

Jane Spencer’s attitude towards Maya was neither good nor bad, but Liam was someone she watched grow up; they were born the same year their mother passed, and despite many disagreements between the siblings, they understood they depended on each other for survival.

So, Maya’s disregard for her brother was unacceptable to her. Yes, she was biased.

"Jane, why are you being so irrational? Why insert yourself into their emotional lives? They have it figured out themselves." Undoubtedly, Lillian understood Jane’s always graceful demeanor from another perspective.

"Who does Maya think she is, to make my brother sit at the door?"

Lillian looked at Jane’s impulsive stance, sighed helplessly, and pulled her away.

Coincidentally, just as they turned away, the hospital room door opened, and Maya nonchalantly said, "Liam, who told you to sit at my hospital room door? Keep your distance, can’t you walk a little farther?"

Jane Spencer’s commotion woke Maya, who then listened at the door to her sister’s complaints, and when Jane was about to leave, she deliberately opened the door and accused someone of even sitting at the hospital room door.

All in all, when Maya turns hostile, grudges are non-existent, even though her previous relationship with Jane Spencer was passable.

But she knew deep down she never considered her a sister; occasionally she’d help, but that was only aimed at Hannah. After discovering her abnormal relationship with Liam, Maya ignored her feelings and used her in contracts.

Maya’s rapid change alarmed Jane Spencer, thinking that any other girl, even upon hearing this, would pretend not to hear it, turning a blind eye would suffice. But Maya boldly followed out to argue.

Seems Maya’s cold-hearted reputation is well-deserved; her demeanor only proves she’s truly Maya.

Facing away from the hospital room, Jane Spencer absorbed the girl’s accusations, took a deep breath, slowly turned, quickly approached Maya, and angrily said, "Maya, letting Liam sit outside all night was excessive!" At this point, Jane Spencer’s attitude was already quite friendly.

"Big Sis, I think you misunderstood. I told him to walk farther away; if I’d known earlier he was at the door, I’d definitely have driven him away." Maya replied indifferently.

"Drive him away? What do you consider him? You’re pregnant and still putting up airs, wanting him to chase you again? Aren’t you thinking about what your relationship is now?"

Jane Spencer thought Maya should be terrified of an unwed pregnancy, should be pleading her brother for accountability, asking for a name.

If her brother truly offered her some kind of name, it’d be Maya’s blessing for several lifetimes.

Indeed, if this situation befalls other girls, there’s no doubt it would be a gift from heaven, but unfortunately, Maya didn’t consider it good fortune, nor did she ever plan to keep the child, or ask for a name.

Therefore, she looked at Jane Spencer with a sneer and said, "Relationship? What relationship? Big Sis, you don’t think we’re dating, do you? Let me be blunt, your brother is a rapist, a psycho, don’t think flashing some dirty money makes you grand. I wouldn’t even bother stepping into Spencer Family’s door!" When Maya’s being ruthless, she’d scold herself, let alone care about Jane Spencer’s feelings.

After cursing, she slammed the door "bang," locking it, shutting them out.

Outside the door, Liam watched the two women arguing, hands on his hips, pouting, actually chuckling.

Nearby, Lillian looked at Liam’s indifferent attitude, shook her head with helplessness, and patted Jane Spencer’s back to soothe her anger.

"You can still laugh? She called you a rapist, a psycho, how do you even stomach sleeping with such a woman?" This time, Jane Spencer could only vent her frustration on Liam.

Note: Actually, when Maya treats someone kindly, she really does with her heart and soul. Despite seeming cold-hearted, such individuals are truly the most loyal. In her current predicament, lacking genuine people around, she can only be a little hedgehog, helpless! Helpless~~~
