Chapter 155: Chapter 153 Stay Away from Me [2nd Update]

Maya Spencer looked at the man with a serious face, feeling nauseous again, and suddenly pushed him away, covering her mouth as she rushed to the bathroom.

At the bathroom door, Liam Spencer watched the girl vomit messily and couldn’t help but recall the night before his business trip; she had vomited the same way. She said it was because she was inexperienced and not used to it, which is why she was sick.

At this moment, remembering his own carelessness, he was full of regret and involuntarily stepped closer to her, patting her back to show comfort.

Maya felt the man’s kindness and brushed his hand away, saying, "I don’t need your crocodile tears."

She thought, if he really cared about her at all, he would consider that she wasn’t even 20 yet and had just finished her freshman year. He wouldn’t have gotten her pregnant.

This unexpected pregnancy made Maya hate the man behind her even more; no matter what he did, it made her sick.

So, she continued, "I feel like vomiting just seeing you. If you really care about me, please just stay away from me."

Maya is proud, and so is Liam. He had already humbled himself to coax her all day, catering to her mood. But seeing her repeatedly being unreasonable, Liam’s temper rose.

He thought, if he gives her respect, can’t she just accept it? Why put on airs!

So he took a deep breath, quickly withdrew his hand from her back, and walked away without looking back.

As Maya listened to the sound of the door closing, she felt the world finally quiet. She thought, if he would never appear before her again, that would be best.

By now, whenever Maya saw Liam, she felt upset, just hated him, disliked him, and didn’t want to see him.

After Liam left, she took a shower, changed back into her hospital gown, lay back on the bed motionless, her mind filled with thoughts of how to get rid of the baby in her stomach.

The news of the pregnancy came too quickly for her to accept. She felt the baby was torturing her, just like Liam, which was why she felt so miserable.

Lying on the hospital bed, she tossed and turned, unsure how to face her ruined self when she woke up tomorrow, uncertain of how to continue her life.

She sighed deeply, turned over, secretly wiped away tears from the corner of her eyes, and gently closed her eyes. She told herself to get rid of the child, return to the Hanson Family, tell her uncle everything she knew, and investigate the truth of her mother’s suicide together.

After more than a year of effort, Maya realized that many things couldn’t be done just because she wanted to. She sometimes lacked the ability and felt she couldn’t hold on any longer. She was utterly defeated.

If things continued this way, she feared she couldn’t think straight and would go to join her mother.

When she recalled that she wasn’t the Spencer family’s child, her heart ached even more. She muttered to herself, "Mom, why did you cruelly leave me behind? Why leave me with so many problems? Whose child am I?"

She cried softly, unable to control her emotions, as if her mother’s death had just happened yesterday, and she still felt terrible.

When the night was deep and silent, she finally stopped crying, hugging the pillow tightly as if it were her only support.

Now, what comforted her was that the damages to the Owen Clan and Spencer Clan stocks had brought them significant financial losses, which was a small act of revenge for herself.

Maya wouldn’t tell anyone that the photos Hannah received yesterday were sent by her. She had secretly taken those pictures, and she had already planned to lay all her cards on the table with today’s exposure. After all, she would eventually rid herself of the Spencer family’s fifth daughter title and return to being the eldest daughter of the Hanson Family.

Before that, how could she easily leave without venting after suffering so much?

After sending the photos to Hannah, she used hacker skills to schedule the release of her pregnancy report and these photos together, ensuring no one could trace it back to her.

Originally, she planned to give Liam a grand welcome home gift, not expecting him to return early. Nonetheless, everything was on track.

This time, she not only harmed both companies, but Hannah, holding the evidence, was in deep trouble that not even the Nile River could cleanse her of. Even if she wasn’t expelled from the Spencer family, she’d never gain anything there again and would never hold her head high.

Besides, understanding Liam as she did, he wouldn’t let her off easily. She could guarantee that neither the Owen Clan nor the Spencer Clan would succeed in the competing project in Europe.

After leaving the Spencer family, she would have nothing to do with them anymore, naturally without any connection at all.

She recalled Sister Jane Spencer’s report on the falling stocks and questioning of Hannah that afternoon, finally feeling a bit relieved after holding it in for so long.

Simultaneously, in the Owen Clan Group chairman’s office, Liam sat gloomily in front of his computer, staring blankly at the screen.

"Knock, knock, knock!" At that moment, there was a knock on the door, and Liam weakly responded, "Come in!"

"BOSS, the stocks are still falling. Should we take action?" The person entering was Elijah Reed. Since Liam hadn’t left, he didn’t dare to leave either.

Just like Liam, his mind was a mess with many things yet to be digested.

Listening to Elijah’s report, Liam raised his right hand, rubbed his temples, and said, "No need, let it fall."

Elijah looked at Liam’s indifferent appearance and cautiously asked, "BOSS, what about the cooperation in Europe? It looks like it’s going down the drain. Should we take any remedial measures?"

"No, even if they come to us later, don’t take it."

"Yes, BOSS." After finishing the report, Elijah withdrew, still confused.

Thinking, was BOSS too excited about becoming a father? Letting the stocks fall and letting projects fall apart shouldn’t happen! If he was going to be a father, shouldn’t he work harder to earn money for milk? Why was he pushing money out for others to earn?

Could this be the legendary universal celebration, with BOSS so happy that there’s money to let everyone earn?

As Elijah left Liam’s office, he scratched his head in confusion, thinking about how the fifth miss was coping after such a severe blow; it must be tough!

After Elijah left, Liam immediately turned off the computer, left the company, and headed straight for the hospital.

At two-thirty in the morning, he finally returned to Maya’s hospital room, quietly opening the door and gently sitting on the sofa beside the hospital bed.

After leaving the hospital, they called him twice to report on Maya’s condition, saying she wasn’t eating or drinking, lying in bed quietly, not speaking to anyone.

He hadn’t planned to care for her, but remembering the child in her womb and how she chased after his car on the day he left for his business trip, tripping and falling, he still came.

This time, he lost the gamble again.
