However, for low-bloodline demon beasts like Demon Wolves, Third-stage was their limit.

"Roar! Roar!" The Demon Wolf roared at Shi Feng, as if it understood his words and was expressing its displeasure.

"Just a lowly beast," Shi Feng said, "this Demon Beast Mountain Range is full of them. If you roar again, I’ll slay you right now!"

At Shi Feng’s threat, the Demon Wolf obediently closed its mouth, bowed its head subserviently, indicating its willingness to accept Shi Feng as its master.

Shi Feng no longer paid it any heed, instead lifting his head to look toward the cave entrance in the middle of the mountain. There, standing right now was a white silhouette; after absorbing Hee Xuan’s soul, Yuel Wushuang had woken up. She was looking down from above, and their gazes met.

Then, Yuel Wushuang moved and jumped down from the mountainside. Within a few breaths, she landed in front of Shi Feng.

"You’re awake," Shi Feng greeted Yuel Wushuang.

Turning her head to survey everything around her, observing those Martial Artists and the Demon Wolf recuperating, Yuel Wushuang furrowed her brows. She looked puzzled and asked Shi Feng, "What exactly happened? I remember we were surrounded by Yin Wolves in the Yin Forest. How did we end up here? Where is this place? And what happened to these people?"

Yuel Wushuang, having just woken up, asked all the questions flooding her mind.

Shi Feng pointed to the forest behind him and told Yuel Wushuang, "That’s the Yin Forest. We were attacked by Yin Wolves. You, silly girl, thought you could negotiate, but I interrupted you. In the end, our lives were not meant to end, and we fortuitously escaped to this place."

He then pointed at the people from the Demon Wolf Mercenary Group and said, "Those you recruited all ran away. I just helped you recruit some more. And these people are kind-hearted and don’t charge fees, plus they are impressively righteous, putting their lives on the line without hesitation."

Yuel Wushuang was no fool; she clearly understood that these people were not kind-hearted or impressively righteous. Each of them was now seriously injured, having suffered at Shi Feng’s hand and coerced by him.
