Chapter 208: Chapter 208 Too Bullying

Space Transmission Array, established at the center of Black Rock City, adjacent to the City Lord Mansion.

A large circular structure resembling an altar, covered in dense, mysterious space runes. Even this short-distance Space Transmission Array required at least a Fifth-stage Alchemy Master, together with some expensive and rare space-attributed materials, to be forged.

Among the empires bordering the Yunlai Empire, only a great nation like the Heavenly Mist Empire possessed a Space Transmission Array, even for such short-distance teleportation.

The assassination of Zhong Yan, the City Lord of Black Rock City, along with a batch of the city guards, had spread through the entire city like the wind. The soldiers of Black Rock City, fearing that they would be implicated, had thrown away their armor and fled for their lives. If even the City Lord of the Eight-star Martial Emperor Realm had been killed, what chance did they stand?

The guards originally protecting the Space Transmission Array had vanished without a trace. Some Martial Artists wanting to travel to other cities began inserting Primordial Stones and operating the array themselves. This turn of events was rather convenient for these Martial Artists since Black Rock City used to collect double the amount of Primordial Stones required to activate the array.

Primordial Stones were inserted into the four slots of the Space Transmission Array. A brilliant white light flashed, and the person standing on the array had vanished, teleported to the next city.

Shi Feng and his group also stepped onto the Transmission Array. According to Wu Xiaoyun, they were heading to Frost City, with the next city being Yueqing City. Having set the coordinates, they inserted four thousand Lower Grade Primordial Stones into the slots. A strong white light flashed, and they disappeared from the array.

Subsequently, Shi Feng continuously teleported through arrays in other cities. Thanks to the convenience of the Crown Prince Jin Rui Token carried by Wu Xiaoyun, the guards of the transmission arrays kneeled and showed respect upon seeing the token, allowing them to bypass queues. After several teleports, they finally arrived at their destination—Frost City.

Currently, due to celestial phenomena, Martial Artists from surrounding nations were congregating in Heavenly Mist Empire, filling the streets.

Walking along the streets, the most discussed topic naturally was the speculation about the cause of this phenomenon, whether it was an ominous sign or the emergence of some strange treasure. No one could clarify it.

Shi Feng looked up at the sky of Frost City and, using his Soul Power, communicated with the Sacred Flame, asking, "Do you sense anything?"

"No!" the Sacred Flame answered succinctly.

Then, Shi Feng withdrew his gaze, seeing Little Meng Long Meng yawning continuously. Even though she was a Martial Artist with strength beyond ordinary people, after an entire day and night of travel, she was visibly tired. "Tired, aren’t you?" Shi Feng asked softly.

"Yeah, I’ve been tired for a while," Long Meng honestly answered.

Seeing such an honest response from Long Meng, Shi Feng smiled and said, "Let’s find a place to stay first then."

"Master, follow me," Wu Xiaoyun then spoke, "In Frost City, I know an old friend who runs an inn. Given how crowded Frost City is now, it’s probably hard to find accommodations."

"That would be great!" Shi Feng nodded in approval.

Led by Wu Xiaoyun, Shi Feng and the others walked towards the inn he mentioned. The inn, named Ten Thousand Guests Inn, was bustling with people when they arrived, Wu Xiaoyun leading the way inside.

Just then, a loud clamor arose: "Look! Look at the sky; there’s more activity outside the city!" Following the noise, Shi Feng and the others quickly turned their gaze only to see the sky to the south suddenly turning a bright red, which then just as quickly vanished.

"Hmm?" Shi Feng sensed that the Bloodthirsty Sword in his storage ring had just trembled slightly. Imprinted with Shi Feng’s mark, the sword’s faint vibration did not escape his senses.

"It’s a Sacred Sword Fragment!" Just then, Sacred Flame suddenly spoke up, indeed confirming Shi Feng’s suspicions about why the Bloodthirsty Sword had trembled.

"What else?" Shi Feng asked. He had once seen a Sacred Sword Fragment in the Royal Forbidden Land, but mere fragments should not have caused such a phenomenon.

"I also sensed a mysterious bloody power, but it seems unrelated to the Blood Pattern Tribe. However, I don’t know why the Sacred Sword Fragment would be within that mysterious power," Sacred Flame replied.

"It’s unrelated to the Blood Pattern Tribe?" Shi Feng frowned slightly and continued to gaze at the sky before muttering, "Let’s settle down here first, then go over there to check."

"Right!" Sacred Flame responded, "If I could devour that mysterious bloody power, it would greatly enhance my strength."

"Hmm?" Just then, Shi Feng suddenly heard a roar from Wu Xiaoyun inside the inn. Shortly after, a burly figure flew out from the inn—this was none other than Wu Xiaoyun, who had just entered.

Shi Feng quickly dashed over, pressing his right hand on the back of Wu Xiaoyun as he flew through the air, stopping his flight.

Wu Xiaoyun, of the Six-star Martial Emperor Realm, had actually been sent flying.

Shi Feng’s expression grew cold as he looked towards the inn. Inside, he saw three young men in white clothes standing with cold smirks, looking his way.

"What happened?" Shi Feng asked Wu Xiaoyun.

"Master, these people! They are completely unreasonable! It’s just too much!" Wu Xiaoyun looked at those men, anger evident on his face. "I arrived first, and they said they wanted three guest rooms, but there were only four rooms left. So I told Old Qian to give us two rooms and they could take the other two, but they just started hitting me!"

"Hmph!" Sneered a short and skinny young man dressed in white on the left, disdainfully. "So what if you’re from the Six-star Martial Emperor Realm? In front of our Brother Ding, you are nothing." The young man then turned his head, looking arrogantly towards Brother Ding who stood between them.

Nine-star Martial Emperor Realm! Shi Feng saw through to the middle young man’s Martial Arts Cultivation. Standing in the Nine-star Martial Emperor Realm, the two others were merely in the Martial King Realm.

The arrogance on Brother Ding’s face deepened as he put his hands behind his back and slowly walked towards Shi Feng and his group, haughtily saying, "Is that dog yours? Better keep your dog in check. Hitting your dog is for your own good so you don’t bite off more than you can chew, lest you offend someone you cannot afford to and not even know how you died."

"Who are these young men, acting so arrogantly?"

"Can’t you tell from their attire? They are from the Spirit Dark Sect of our Heavenly Mist Empire."

"What! They are from the Spirit Dark Sect? No wonder! It’s the fourth-ranked sect in our Heavenly Mist Empire. Although ranked fourth, its true influence is not far off from the Fire Cloud Sect and Heavenly Sword Alliance ranked second and third."

In the Tianheng Continent, no matter where, people who loved to watch troubles unfold were never in short supply. As soon as they saw a conflict arise here, they gathered around as if by prior agreement, sharing speculations and comments.
