Night Without End -
Chapter 275 - 177: Fourth Forbidden Land_2
Chapter 275: Chapter 177: Fourth Forbidden Land_2
An elderly man with a head full of golden hair, riding on a Four Tusked White Elephant, passed by on the brightly lit street and flashed a toothy smile at Qin Ming.
"When the night comes, do humans, ghosts, and gods all wander?" Qin Ming mused, finding this place too unusual.
Then, he saw a teenager, within whom was the Consciousness Spiritual Light of Pure Yang, which was quite impressive. Next, he saw a Moon Worm float in the night sky, becoming a light, illuminating the entire town.
At the street corner, a silver-haired girl approached, with Divine Wisdom oozing from her, like layers of Divine Rings enveloping her, looking extraordinary, and glanced this way.
Qin Ming closed the courtyard gate, unsure whether this ruin was haunted, or if a strange town truly descended with the arrival of the night fog.
He stood in the courtyard and noticed that the whole small courtyard emitted a faint Golden Light, appearing quite sacred, isolating the noise from the street.
Qin Ming continued to use the Silk Scripture to subdue the Heavenly Light Force until he was utterly exhausted.
It was very late, and the kind old lady and the young Wu Yaizu hadn’t appeared.
Qin Ming decided to solve the food problem on his own. In the small kitchen, there were all kinds of condiments, lots of dried meat, and a type of Five-Colored Mushrooms.
"That bowl of mushroom soup, although it made me hallucinate, was not harmful to me; it tasted very fresh."
Soon after, Qin Ming ate and drank to his fill, and upon leaving the kitchen, he found that the entire world had changed again, except the modest house had transformed into a Jade Palace.
He lay on the courtyard wall, looking outwards, but where was the small town?
What he clearly saw was a gigantic city, a magnificent Heavenly Palace, a Divine Tower built of pure White Jade, and golden Ancient Halls, all exuding a sacred aura.
Moreover, there was a faint White Fog flowing through the city, almost like an Immortal City.
The street was equally bustling, with more living beings, including the thirty-meter-tall Immortal of Colossal Spirit walking, the Six Tusked White Elephant roaming, and the Golden Winged Great Roc soaring across the sky, shining with dazzling Golden Light.
Qin Ming felt drowsy and quickly got down from the courtyard wall. After entering the opulent and ornate room, he collapsed on the bed emitting Purple Qi and fell asleep.
The next day, when he woke up and pushed open the courtyard gate, the moonlight was still soft, the sound of insects filled the air, and the desolate scene of rubble remained.
"I must have fallen into a Forbidden Land!" Qin Ming concluded, the strange scenes he had witnessed far exceeded his expectations.
Forbidden Lands, they had always been inexplicable, so it was normal to have all sorts of oddities!
"Melt Skill!"
For three consecutive days, Qin Ming was mentally exhausted, repeatedly suppressing through the Silk Scripture, finally pacifying the forces and reintegrating all skills into Unity.
At "dusk", just before the moon was about to disappear, the robust and sturdy Wu Yaizu appeared, with a look of shock, saying, "You haven’t exploded?"
Hearing such words, Qin Ming felt uneasy and forgot to ask him if he was human or ghost.
Judging by this statement, he already understood that this "old teenager" knew he was practicing the Silk Scripture, and his body was about to explode, so he ran away early to avoid getting caught in the blast?
"Really strange, my grandmother said you were on the brink of death, likely to not survive three days. How come you’re fine?" he was surprised.
Because he saw Qin Ming practicing boxing, with Heavenly Light Force surging, illuminating the entire courtyard, someone about to explode would definitely not dare to wield such power.
"Are you truly alive, or are you dead?" Qin Ming looked at him.
"I’m alive!" The bearded Wu Yaizu felt a bit frustrated, how could he be spoken to like that!
Qin Ming looked at him and genuinely felt his strong vitality, and within his blood and flesh, a dense "Rainbow Light", indeed not a dead person.
He asked, "What’s with the ruins outside, why is it so lively at night with all sorts of creatures appearing, and they seem quite extraordinary, are ghosts and gods wandering at night?"
Wu Yaizu said, "My grandmother says those people are actually real, entering dreams and descending on the town with the night fog."
Qin Ming was puzzled and said, "Isn’t the town outside rubble, restored at night?"
"This is an unusual town on the edge of the Fourth Forbidden Land. According to outsiders, isn’t it normal for Forbidden Lands to have oddities? Actually, I also don’t understand!" The youthful-looking boy shook his head as he spoke.
"The Fourth Forbidden Land near Kunleng?" Qin Ming was taken aback, weren’t there only three Forbidden Lands?
Wu Yaizu nodded and said, "Yes, it was once the Fourth Forbidden Land, but it was pierced and crumbled. Only some ’remnants’ are left of the Forbidden Land, isolated from the outside, probably already forgotten by people."
Qin Ming was lost in thought, this area of Kunleng was astonishing, truly a legendary place, with more than three Forbidden Lands!
Wu Yaizu said, "It’s a pity, you’re someone on the Newborn Road, at this stage, your consciousness cannot detach. Otherwise, I would take you into the town at night for a stroll; it’s lively and very interesting, with all kinds of creatures to see."
"I might be able to go in!" Qin Ming said, eager to learn about this place.
"Hmm, better wait until tomorrow after you’ve met my grandmother."
...
Wu Yaizu left and did not stay behind.
Subsequently, Qin Ming pondered and researched seriously on how to completely solve the problem of the Silk Scripture and began trying.
That night, within the courtyard, there were flashes of lightning and raging winds.
The following day, Wu Yaizu appeared, surprised, "I see your condition seems even better."
Qin Ming smiled and nodded, following him into a mountain forest, whereupon he saw a stone mountain, the entirety of which was a colossal statue.
With a solemn expression, he looked at Wu Yaizu; was this his grandmother?!
The stone mountain carved into the shape of an old lady was exactly how she appeared when he first met, quite kind and amiable.
"Don’t be surprised, this is my remnant image. I died many years ago, but a wisp of Pure Yang Consciousness remains, because I’m worried about my grandson, thus wandering here like a solitary ghost."
The stone statue, hewn from the mountain, did not move, but a voice emanated from it.
Qin Ming turned back and looked at Wu Yaizu, truly an "old teenager"!
The old lady seemed to know what he was thinking and said, "Yaizu, indeed, was born sixteen years ago from a stone egg, he’s about the same age as you."
She continued, "You are quite extraordinary, practicing that Scripture, you can even regroup and unify after your True Skill disperses, truly a remarkable talent, surpassing even the abilities of that old fellow back then!"
"Senior, you mean..." Qin Ming asked.
"One of the earliest practitioners of this Scripture." The huge stone statue informed.
Qin Ming felt a sense of longing, the Silk Scripture passed down in his family was possessed by the Cui Family, unwilling to return it to him. If he could obtain a relic from a Grandmaster Level individual here, that would be great!
In fact, the old lady’s next words were better than he expected; there truly was a part of the Scripture from the Silk Scroll here, and it had been refined.
"It’s very difficult to obtain, as it’s within a Temple." The statue conveyed seriously.
Evidently, the elderly lady had something to ask of him, but this time said nothing more, first observing if he could resolve his own hidden danger, otherwise, who knows when he might explode again.
On the way back, Wu Yaizu told Qin Ming that the Scripture should be in the Temple at the end of the strange town.
At night, he stood at the courtyard gate with Qin Ming, gazing toward the end of the town, where a cluster of ancient buildings slowly emerged in the thick fog.
"The old chap practicing your kind of Scripture once discussed Dao for three days and nights with the Temple’s owner," Wu Yaizu said, but that area is tricky to approach, extremely dangerous.
"Doesn’t the Temple also emerge with the dream?" Qin Ming asked.
"Yes, very few dare to enter, for there are no living people in the Temple, it’s quite terrifying," Wu Yaizu nodded.
