Chapter 36: Glad I Chose You? by Harem-Fan

     Ding Ding~! I look up from my book I'm reading, and what I see is...

     A drop-dead gorgeous redhead I have had the pleasure of waking up with one time, Rias Gremory!

     "Hiya President, I told you I would bring you your order to school tomorrow. I smile and say to her."

     But I think...

     "Damn that black dress is hot on her!"

     She just smugly smiles at me.

     Rias has stopped saying, 'out-loud', about 2 months ago, and I have just gotten used to this damn curse!

     I asked my King.

     "So then what brought you in, just passing by?"

     I would rather be lazy myself and have books delivered.

     She lifts an eyebrow at me, and says.

     "I had to come, this is our 1 year anniversary, is it not?"

     "Holy hell! I did meet her a year ago in that fucking dumb ass getup! Where did the time go?!"

     So I say...

     "You're right, that was a fun time!"

     Rias looks embarrassed for that comment?

     Meh, Whatever.

     With a warm smile, I tell her.

     "Well since it Is a special day for us, I shall give you today's order on the house! Happy anniversary, Pres!"

     Rias takes her bag, then squints at me, she then says...

     "I think it would be wrong to get a gift and not give one back!"

     "Oh, No, I know that look of hers, she is up to no good!"

     And with a smile that says, she heard me, she opened the employee gate. 

     Mwah! Rias came behind the counter to me, then gave me a kiss on the lips!

     She happily asked.

     "There, how was that gift?"

     "A nice feeling, a bit short, but made my day!"

     Fuck my cursed mouth!

     Rias said.

     "I can do better, just one more!"

     Mwah~! She got my half open mouth unprepared, and tried one more time!

    Ding Ding~! Just as we began to exchange tongues, bad luck came!

     "Hot damn, I knew it... My Son is the man!"

     My other curse is here...

     Rias stopped our kiss, then looked at my Dad, and said.

     "Hello Father, I was just greeting Mat here for our 1 year anniversary!"

     "No sorry! I interrupted, I'm just going to the back now! Good luck in your 3rd year in school!"

     The fucker held a thumb-up to me the whole way into the back!

     "Fuck he will bug me forever about this now! Rias has, like epic-timing. Oh, But it was worth it, at least my Mom didn't see!"

     Rias just smiled like a Devil, waved to me, and said.

     "See you at school tomorrow, stud! Now I can tell Akeno I beat her!"

     Oh~fuck, she is jealous of Akeno!

     The next day...

     Pat~! I turned off the alarm... and I swear I heard police sirens in the distance, heading this way!

     I then get ready for my 2nd year of school, and by far the most exciting time to happen, for good or bad!

     After getting ready for school, I head down to my energetic family breakfast.

     My Mom asks me.

     "Here Mat, and are you ready for your 2nd year at Kuoh Academy?"

     I take the food and notice my bastard Dad is absolutely glowing, like he just finished making out with a centerfold.

     "Yes Mom, I'm looking forward to it. I hope a lot of good things will happen to me, less bad ones too!"

     My Mom just smiled then I headed out the front-door.

     Yup my 1st day of school isn't going to start normally!

     I repeat I have not left my home, and I'm going to Human jail!

     Standing at my front gate, holding her school bag, is one cute as hell Koneko Toujou?!

     "Hi Matsuda, can we walk to school together?"

     Koneko says that so shyly... Damn cute!

     "S-Sure, but isn't your home a bit further, in another direction?"

     I'm west of the school and she is more north-west, so we should only meet at the Issei bridge?!

     She blushes a bit and says...

     "I wanted you to see my school uniform first, and tell me what you think."

     Damn so that was what was up with my alarm, it was warning me!

     She looks really confident now, and says to me...

     "Let's go then, senior!"

     Thwack~! I couldn't dodge that cute-arrow!

     Am I going to hell for having bad thoughts?

     Watch out future me, have bail money, and a good lawyer!

     The both of us walk together in comfortable silence.

     It is a nice warm spring day.

     I broke the silence and told her.

    "Koneko, don't forget to go to the opening assembly, alright. If you need anything, or any perverts bother you, just tell me!"

     Then I give her my best Big Brother impression!

     Motohama and Issei met up with us and of course these two fuck-tards have to do there 3-sizes and the bit of how popular Koneko is!

     Damn I need new friends!

     Needless to say all this did is make the Loli come closer to me, to hide from their drooling gazes.

     Thankfully the school is in sight... So Issei went into obedient dog mode, and leaped behind Sona.

     I handed Sona a pair of books I recommended to her, containing the advertising book I read to help with sales pitches, and a book on the Art of War.

     To my surprise, Sona never read that one!

     Sona received them, and smiled, misunderstanding the gift.

     "You know me very well. Even that I would prefer books over flowers."

     I swear I saw a glint in her eyes, just for a moment, and it wasn't the sun on her lenses.

     I saw those eyes in Grayfia once!

     Mwah! Then I gave Tsubaki her peck on the cheek, and said.

     "And now my morning is complete, good luck on your 3rd year, dear Tsubaki!"

     She really did try to keep her super serious face on when she replied, but the blush called her bluff...

     "You too Matsuda, good luck on your 2nd year!"

     Then all of the new 1st year boys just started weeping, that the hot senior was taken off their must hit list!

     I walked towards the school, and yelled back to Saji... 

     "Just keep drooling blind boy!"

     Oh...?

     I saw the old Loli Pawn turned Knight standing in the back!

     Seems she is in Koneko's grade!

     Entering the homeroom...

     Well, it looks like it is the same anime class grouping.

     So no Kiba this year for me to bug.

     (Kiba, Saji, Vali, and Mat do become friendly later, so relax. FYI, the reason I'm saying this here now, is the last run of the book, sooo many readers were too impatient for a thing called character development. But Cao Cao will never be friends with Mat.)

     All the rest of the sub-cast is with me as well.

     Also I guess it is anime logic, but Issei still has his red shirt exposed, for breaking school rules.

     I can't believe it with Sona around!

     Issei and Motohama make it to my side, like clockwork and say at once...

     ""Really Matsuda? You're not happy with just Tsubaki, and Akeno, but you even put your perverted hands on Koneko! Save some girls for us you bastard Matsuda!""

     Wow those fuckers were in perfect unison, like they practiced!

     So I say to Issei, who freezes in place.

     "Oh, Does that mean Momo and Yura aren't taken then, and are free to pluck?"

     I know Issei is shocked.

     Motohama starts to choke Issei and yells!

     "You traitor, you said you weren't with them!"

     Seeing a Low-Class Devil being strangled by a normal guy is funny!

     Fast forward to lunch time...

     I have two hot Japanese women on both sides of me, fighting to be the one to feed me!

     My actual girlfriend on my left, and my want-to-be girlfriend on my right!

     Tsubaki says to Akeno past me.

     "Get your own boyfriend, and leave mine alone! You homewrecker!"

     Akeno shoots back at her rival friend...

     "Nope! I like this one. He is perfect. Plus I already slept with him!"

     Matsuda: ".............."

     Jeez, let me put things into context...

     Yes the girls don't care if the whole damn lunch room is watching us.

     Yes I can't say anything, because all the food will fly into my mouth if I try to talk.

     And finally, the last time I tried to stop them, I ended up the bad guy, so I just shut up and accepted my fate.

     I even made the mistake of telling Akeno that she was being naughty for provoking her!

     Fuck, I Think she wet her underwear (she did) at those words!

     That isn't normal, right?

     On the flip-side, the killing looks from all the guys in school is priceless!

     After school, it was time for clubs and we did our Devil work as normal after which I went home...

     While walking through Issei's (Mat's) park, I got a tingle in my Sacred Gear, and a barrier appeared overhead.

     "Eyes of Creation!"

     Buzz Creak Creak! I immediately put on my visor, and held my combat-bow, while looking for danger.

     My barrier shields are cast on my body as well.

     "A Devil now! I can't believe my ex-boyfriend has changed so much since the last time we were here. Good to see you, my boyfriend Matsuda!"

     Raynare in her adult form sits on the pond with her legs crossed!

     (Minor spoiler: This anime only adult form of Raynare isn't her real look in the LN. Her normal Yūma Amano is the real Raynare.)

     Sexy Raynare is just smiling at me.

     She then asks in puzzlement.

     "So if you know where to find me all this time, why not try and stop me or sell me out to that Devil bitch Rias Gremory?"

     "Fallen Angel, I don't know who you are, but if you sully the name of the Lord of this territory one more time, I will call my Peerage to exterminate the filth of Kuoh."

"So far Fallen Angel of Grigori, you haven't made a move on my Master's territory, so I shall let you go! As far as a girlfriend... I don't remember you, and you're not my type!"

     I lied to her here, because I still need her.

     I'm trying to keep my mind clear, so I just think of my wives and take my mind off this boyfriend murdering bitch.

     "Haha? Not your type?! You seemed to be all over me before?!"

     She is angry now, even fake relationships still have some truth to them.

     "Sorry, I only like women with class and beauty. You seem to be lacking both! Shall I bring my King here to prove it?!"

     I can't bring out Roshi now, due to him watching over Kuoh's train and bus stations for Asia, so if things get ugly I'm on my own.

     "I see your every bit the irritating boy. You're just like all those other bastards. Tease a girl and leave them, and now you want to kill me. Whatever, I shall meet you again in the future, and I will make you remember me!"

     Flap Flap~! Raynare then flies off pissed, like normal.

     "I can't believe I had the thought of saving her before. She is utter trash next to my Kalawarna!"

     So she is still waiting for Asia to do the ritual... And she locks up her hate for the big picture.

     It is a real shame... She is really good at controlling her emotions, but for working with that rapist Devil, I don't mind killing her.

     He will be tricky to deal with later...

     After coming home, I called Rias about Raynare...

     Buzz~! As soon as Rias heard Yūma Amano's name the smartphone call was cut, and she teleported right to my side!

     Oh?! Damn I forget Kings could do that!

     They can quickly pinpoint any Servant for faster Teleportation!

     Yup, I'm in my boxers, and she is in her favorite see-thru nighty... Gulp~!

     She inspected me and said...

     "Are you hurt? Are you alright? Thank goodness you look alright!"

     She is super flustered then calmed, after seeing my awkward smile.

     We both sat on the bed, and I told her...

     "Calm down and listen to me, Rias! I let her go on purpose. We need her alive for a while more."

     I'm being firm in my talk, so she will know what I'm saying is important.

     "She has to live a bit longer, because I have to save your future Bishop!" 

     Rias looked surprised at my words, so I continued.

     "This is a healer nun with the Sacred Gear, Twilight Healing. The Fallen want to use a forbidden ritual to seize her Sacred Gear for themselves. I will help Issei save her, before she is killed, this time..."

     I feel my eyes heat up a bit in sadness at my own words, but finish my thoughts...

     "This whole plot is actually concocted by a noble Devil of a well known house. For now it is best you don't know that piece of shits identity. I will kill him one day for his abhorrent sins!"

     I'm actually very angry now for his servants and poor Asia, and a tear falls for those girls...

     In concern, Rias panics for me...

     "You can't kill a noble Devil so easily, please don't do anything stupid, Matsuda!"

     Rias thinks I'm going to just walk up and murder the guy, nope. (Twice, cough.)

     I looked into her worried blue eyes, full of shock and care and said.

     "Rias don't worry! I'm a genius, deaths in Rating Games don't count!"

     I smile like a fox!

     Rias is very confused why her normally piece-loving Pawn is talking like an assassin?

     "Why are you so willing to break your own rules?"

     I smiled and thought...

     "This is the one thing I love about Rias, she really cares about her Peerage and friends."

     I breathe in and out and say...

     "Some evils in this world can never be truly forgiven.... I hate killing, yes, but his death isn't killing, but sparing all worlds of his filth. Everything he touches rots. Plus he works for a terrorist group that will try to destroy the Underworld including the Gremory Devils, understand now? For you Rias, I will do this!"

     "Is knowing the future that painful?"

     She looks sad...

     I just smile, shed a few sad tears, and say nothing... (Past Trauma Tag here... It gets explained later.)

     "Move over! It's too late to go home, so I will sleep here tonight." 

     Rias crawls under the sheets. then folds her nightgown and panties to the side.

     I think, with a warm smile...

     "Lies"

     I then said to her...

     "OK"

      She knows how to cheer me up, and I tell her...

     "Thank you Rias, I'm glad I chose you."

     Naked Rias just used me as a hug-pillow...
