Chapter 393: Chapter 188: Luring to Kill

Gretwin’s experiences were indeed fraught with hardships.

Though he was a descendant of the Supreme, his hybrid nature as a Forbidden Zone Creature made him grotesque and ugly in appearance, garnering little attention within his family and even facing discrimination. Banished to the outskirts of the Forbidden Zone, he managed the prisoners there.

Yet, he rose from the lowliest of positions through his own resilience and determination.

He rallied the prisoners and sought out materials, forging Spiritual Ability Equipment. He established the Punishment Army of the Forbidden Zone and guarded his family’s assets.

He hunted a variety of powerful Extraordinary Creatures and even crossed blades with Ye Boshou numerous times.

At that time, he exhibited his extraordinary craftsmanship skills, and the Spiritual Ability Equipment he crafted was of exceptional quality. The combat prowess of the Punishment Army also grew day by day.

His reputation began to spread far and wide, and gradually, the Forbidden Zone started taking notice of him.

After crafting Spiritual Ability Equipment for the Overlord of the Forbidden Zone, he was ennobled by the King of Restricted Zone, a rare honor within the Forbidden Zone.

Being known as a Great Master, he had many powerful friends. Many Forbidden Zone Creatures desired to acquire a Spiritual Ability Weapon forged by him.

But he was exceptionally indifferent and rarely interacted with outsiders.

Yet at this moment, the typically grim and aloof Gretwin was introducing his masterpiece with surprising elegance and friendliness.

The Black Gold Dragon Pattern Spear, forged from mysterious metals found in the Dark Abyss of Black Origin City, along with various extremely special techniques, perfectly fused with the Mysterious Material of a Sixth-Sense Spiritual Ability User, possessed truly remarkable destructive power.

The five-clawed Golden Dragon inscribed on the spear’s body seemed to move like a living thing.

As Gretwin picked up the Black Gold Dragon Pattern Spear, the dangerous aura it emitted made the guards present palpitate with fear.

"How dare you!" a Silver Mountain City Guard said with a cold voice.

’Whoosh’—a Knight in silver Battle Armor suddenly unfurled a set of snow-white wings behind him.

Subsequently, several guards within the hall unfolded their wings as well.

They were all Forbidden Zone Creatures, the guardian Angels of Silver Mountain City, now showing a guarded response to the oppressive feeling unveiled by Gretwin.

"You’re the one being presumptuous, how can a mere Four-Winged Angel dare to speak so impudently to Master Gretwin?" a Golden Armored Knight from Black Origin City replied coldly.

As the Angels made their move, the Knights from Black Origin City also grasped their weapons as though ready to fight at any moment.

"This is not Black Origin City; this is not the place for you to strut about!" an Angel said coldly, as a dozen Angels spread their Angel Wings, encircling Gretwin and his party.

Both parties were naturally antagonistic, ranking next only to Humans as each other’s primary adversaries.

At this moment, they stood as if around a powder keg ready to ignite, neither side showing any signs of backing down.

"Do not be rude; he is our respected guest," the woman from the higher position interjected, her voice soft and beguiling.

The Angels fell silent for a moment before finally, albeit grudgingly, retracting their wings.

Gretwin, meanwhile, looked toward the curtain, vaguely discerning the beautiful figure that haunted his dreams.

Yet, being a man of steadfast nature, he forced himself to look away and restrained the arm of the Golden Armored Knight beside him, pushing the drawn weapon back into its sheath.

"We are here to form an alliance, not enemies," Gretwin spoke calmly.

After a moment’s hesitation, the Golden Armored Knight stepped back. The rest of the Knights also maintained their silence.

Then, Gretwin turned to address the curtain, proclaiming loudly, "Mei Wu, is this gift sufficient to sway the Overlord?"

"It is sufficient," the woman behind the curtain chuckled. "She is willing to maintain the channels of communication between our Divine Country and your Black Origin City."

"Our plan is one step closer then," Gretwin said. "But I hear you’re going to execute three Humans?"

"Yes, they were once my kin... I gave them time to think, hoping they would cool down and consider my proposal," the woman behind the curtain spoke softly, "before the execution..."

"But such delays only lead to more troubles; Humans will attempt to rescue them. Especially those Ye Boshou, like maggots at one’s heels, appearing anywhere. There might already be Ye Boshou infiltrating Silver Mountain City," Gretwin advised, "Not everyone will understand your good intentions."

"Don’t worry, I am well prepared. And no one can harm me..." The woman laughed lightly.

As a former Ye Boshou herself, she fully understood their resilience.

If indeed Ye Boshou were attempting to rescue the three, it would only result in more captives.

Should their attempt fail, it would severely weaken the Humans’ central combat strength.

And her status would rise yet again.

As for her own safety, she was confident no one would dare to harm her.

She had every reason to be confident, for even the Overlords of the Forbidden Zone, and even that female Overlord, could not resist her overwhelming charm.

This allowed her to climb to her current position in just a few years.

Not only capable of commanding the Four-Winged Angels but even securing the Six-winged Angels’ pledge.

Her power had already surpassed many of the pure-blooded Forbidden Zone Creatures.

Even the Supreme of the Forbidden Zone, those supremely powerful Archangels, intentionally steered clear of her... avoiding the terrible curse.

As for those Ye Boshou... she had faced their assassination attempts multiple times, always emerging unscathed.

Regardless of whether their plans failed or succeeded, she would remain unharmed.

Besides, this very action might draw out an old acquaintance of hers... a chance to kill two birds with one stone.

Gretwin continued to speak, "Then, I shall await the successful day of your plan, Mei Wu."

"It won’t be long," the woman’s voice floated from behind the curtain.
