Naruto: The Time Looper
Chapter 120

Days continued to pass, the sun rising and falling over and over as the days swiftly turned into weeks and then into months.

It was now October 1st of the 65th year since the creation of Konoha.

9 days before the Nine-Tails attack and the day Naruto had been born in the original timeline.

Far away from the village hidden in the leaves, a group of four shinobi were running through a desolate plain at high speeds.

At the head of the group stood Kazuo Hyuga, behind him were three random chunnin who had been assigned to be under his command for his current mission.

'The target should be close, around five minutes from here at our current pace and we should arrive at the destination.' Kazuo thought as he raised his hand to stop the group.

The three chunnin behind him quickly stopped their running.

"I'll be heading forward myself, stay here and be ready," Kazuo commanded earning three quick nods before he vanished from his position in an instant.

His speed had continued to increase as his body grew and adapted to higher and higher loads of weight.

If the distance had been five minutes away from their previous pace, Kazuo now arrived in merely sixty seconds. Having traveled 10 miles. Averaging at around six hundred miles per hour. And this wasn't even his fastest speed.

Arriving at the destination, Kazuo quickly hid himself as he looked below him from the top of a tree.

Down below him stood a small camp that clearly was formed quickly and was merely a makeshift one, meant to be removed and any traces of it extinguished as soon as the shinobi bellow had enough rest.

Looking around the camp, Kazuo quickly located ten shinobi as well as one civilian.

Differentiating between his target and the shinobi was easy enough, one could tell simply by the way the untrained man carried himself in comparison to the trained killers.

'Ten rogue shinobi, likely a part of an organized group that takes missions or bounties.' Kazuo thought as he observed for a moment before raising his right hand towards the target.

In an instant, his hand deformed as his skin seemed to peel off and turn into paper sheets before these paper slips combined and formed a long needle that changed color to become invisible.

It didn't take more than a split second between the launch of the needle and its impact on the forehead of the target.

The needle had been thin however the speed it had been launched at caused the man to be thrown several meters back and for half his head to explode in a shower of brain matter, flesh, and blood.

"Damned, it's an ambush." One of the shinobi said as the remaining nine quickly got on their guards looking around them for the enemy however Kazuo had already long left the area.

One minute later, the shinobi were still looking around cautiously whilst Kazuo had already returned to the clearing where the chunnin were waiting.

"Lets get going, the mission is complete." Kazuo announced as he didn't wait a second and continued to body flicker, his pace much slower so that the ninja would be capable of following him.

'So this is Kazuo, the flashing demon.' One of the chunnin thought in wonder as he gazed at Kazuo's back as he body flickered behind him.

During the last few months, with Minato having become Hokage, Kazuo had managed to increase his reputation not just with the civilians of the leaf but with the rest of the shinobi forces to a major degree.

Having the Hokage as your master clearly had benefits, if Kazuo had to put a name to it then he would say it was like having a diamond spoon in his mouth.

As Kazuo ran ahead, his mind wasn't focused on the mission he had just completed at all, even though it had been an A-rank mission, it honestly wasn't anywhere near exciting enough at least not compared to the possible event coming in less than two weeks.

'Would Madara have found a replacement for Obito? Or would it be someone like Nagato attacking? Or it is also possible that nothing happens.' Kazuo thought before he stopped himself.

'Let's not jinx myself, the Kamui was already broken enough….' Kazuo thought inwardly before releasing an inward sigh.

'I totally have already jinxed myself and considering my luck…' Kazuo thought in annoyance as he continued his body flickering towards the village hidden in the leaves.

During these months, Kazuo had managed to complete quite a few tasks, and increase his strength, though it wasn't as massive of an increase as during the war, it was still worth mentioning.

First, it was the bloodline mission.

[ BloodLine Mission ]

[ Time: 1/1, Space: 0.5/1, Perception: 1/1 ]

Just as he had thought, the hyuga blood had managed to fully complete the Perception requirement, however the Space still remained incomplete, he had even decided to not wait and used a time loop to gather Minato's blood and Kushina's after much trial and error. It had taken him close to a hundred loops to manage to harm the man enough however it had all led to a disappointment.

Neither the Namikaze nor Uzumaki blood had worked.

'Im completely lost on what could fill that last requirement besides Ootsutsuki blood. There could be some other clan that was mentioned in the Naruto Movies or the light novels however I don't remember much of either so im basically blind on that part.' Kazuo thought with an annoyed inward sigh as he opened his status panel to check his status.
