I've really been enjoying Mythshaper! It's been a fantastic journey so far. The pacing is good, the system's and world building are great, and the plot building is superbe.
Stylistically, I enjoy some of the odd turns of phrases and have no complaints about it being overly simplified or unnecessarily complex.
As for the story (so far), I would classify it as a slice of life training arc with hints and promises at future action. I've really been enjoying the time and detail put into each chapter, and R. Solara's willingness to let the pace be slower where it should be without it ever being boring.
I removed half a star for Character simply due to feeling a lack of overall characterization. I know little about how anyone's actual character beyond surface level. However, I fully expect I'll add that last .5 in the future, as currently the MC is a child and - surprise surprise - children are quite bad at understanding people's character themselves. That said, I don't mean to suggest there isn't ANY characterization as there are characters which show hints at underlying motives and thoughts. It's more there's a lack of context or shown actions for the reader to understand them much. Like I said, I expect this to change as the MC grows and it will make more sense for him to notice more outside himself. :)
Grammar is the toughest part (in particular the most recent chapters) but it's by no means offensive or unreadable, just has room for improvement.
Thank you very much for writing this and I hope you keep at it!
