Chapter 973: Chapter 354 How Did the Lando Family in the Outer World End Up Like This_4

"Uh..."

Sophia looked to the side and silently nodded her head. Although the sweet memories of first love were pleasant, it was undeniable that Austin had completely duped her back then.

"That was the Austin of the Outer World!" Austin exclaimed loudly.

"You! Are you Austin or not!!" Wayne’s voice was even louder.

"..."

Austin’s face creased with frustration; being hit by a boomerang was a miserable feeling indeed.

"If it’s true, then it’s fine. I am Veronica’s fiance, and I have many girlfriends outside, this one, and that one, you and the teacher are fully aware."

Wayne pointed at Philomena and Anastasia, casting a disdainful glance at Austin, "Don’t you ever think, as a father, why, knowing all this, you didn’t stuff me into a concrete barrel and sink it to the bottom of a river?"

"Because I can’t beat you."

"No, because you want me to do this. Only if I mess around outside and set a good example in front of the teacher, can you sit back and enjoy being surrounded by women on all sides." Wayne tossed out accusation after accusation.

Not that it could be called groundless; judging others by oneself, he schemed against Austin in this way, and without doubt, Austin had schemed against him in the same manner.

Austin couldn’t help but laugh out of anger, "Even if I thought that, Slyphy is Veronica’s mother, would she just watch you mess around outside and let Veronica be wronged?"

"The teacher treats me like a son, and Veronica is her daughter-in-law."

"..."

How did the Lando Family of the Outer World end up like this, all because of one Insectoid?

"I’m not just talking nonsense, I have written evidence!"

Wayne pulled out his evidence from his pocket: "An agreement drafted by Aunt Mei, you signed it yourself, clear and incontrovertible evidence, you can’t deny the truth."

Wayne had many written proofs against Austin, all won through bets, like the current one, where Austin asked him to mess around outside and help hide it, vowing never to tell Veronica and Slyphy.

Seeing the document, Austin’s entire face darkened, plunged into self-doubt; did he really entertain thoughts of being surrounded by women, did he truly covet Megan’s body so much he’d do anything to get it, should he take primary responsibility for Veronica’s misfortune?

Megan also stared at the document, indeed written by her and Austin; so... the old master actually thought this, as long as she put in some effort, she could succeed.

"The evidence doesn’t stop there!"

Wayne fished out another bunch of photos, a late-night overtime collection from the Naturalism Church High Priest, starring Austin and Sophia.

The first collection was destroyed by Slyphy, leaving only one photo she would use to build up her anger when she felt upset, as a means for stress relief.

Wayne later had Mona develop three sets; one for collecting, one for viewing, and another for preaching.

As everyone passed them around, their faces spoke volumes of bewilderment.

Evidently, the committed persona of the Dark Knight had completely collapsed; no one would believe him if he said he loved his wife again.

As for the struggle with the Death Knight...

It was understandable; after three indecisive battles, the nature of the situation had changed.

Sophia had some little schemes in mind; if she had succeeded in the Outer World, perhaps she could also succeed in the Inverted World.

No, that was wrong. Her son was even better. Having won over Wayne, who needed Austin at all when the man of the Dark Goddess had a higher legendary status?

Sophia clenched her fist and coughed lightly, "Knight Wayne, in the Outer World, I might have rekindled old feelings for Austin, but this is the Inverted World, where strength is respected, and I no longer have such thoughts about him."

"So what?" Wayne asked, clearly unimpressed.

If only he had a camera, he would love to capture the queen’s embarrassing expression and bring it back to the Outer World to make her socially die.

Wait a second, something like a camera, there should be one if he looked...

Even if he couldn’t develop them here, he could take them back to the Outer World to process!

Wayne’s spirits lifted, he thought to himself what a brilliant idea, that it was great he had come to the Inverted World.

"Knight Wayne, I am very curious, what led the me of the Outer World to end up with Austin?" Sophia asked with a slight smile, attempting to entice Wayne with the identity of the father’s lover.

"Because the Lando Family successfully rebelled, you became nothing more than a plaything of His Majesty Austin, that’s it."

"..."

Sophia stood there as if struck by lightning, silent, rooted to the spot.

Austin, trembling, held the photograph with a vacant look in his eyes, murmuring to himself about impossibilities.

Clearly, he had been played by Wayne, and had fallen into severe self-doubt.

Megan looked at him with pity, then at the photograph, and after inspecting it repeatedly, frowned deeply.

She silently walked past Austin, tiptoed to Wayne, and whispered, "Young master, I don’t know if it’s just my imagination, but these photographs..."

"They’re missing a person, aren’t they?"

"Young master, you..."

"Aunt Mei, in the Outer World you said the same thing."

Wayne raised his eyebrows, "I told you, becoming the Second Lady in the Outer World, all depended on my efforts. Don’t you believe it now?"

She believed, wholeheartedly!

Regardless of whether Austin believed or not, Megan did. Wayne had predicted her prediction, indicating they had discussed the same topic before.

Given her reticent nature, she would never speak these thoughts to anyone else, unless she trusted that person completely.

"Young master, I..."

"I understand, I will help you in this world too."

After Wayne spoke, he saw Megan frown slightly and laughed, "I understand, I have misunderstood, haven’t I?"

Megan nodded silently and returned to stand behind Austin. There was no doubt; this was the young master from the Outer World. Graceful in his actions and words, she felt at ease with him around.

Outer World’s Megan would have informed Austin about the fake photos, but Inverted World’s Megan would not. She hoped this realization would help Austin see the truth and not leave her waiting in vain.

After a while, Austin came to his senses, his face darkened, and he destroyed all the photographs.

Darkness devoured them, not leaving a single fragment behind.

"They are all fake, you can’t deceive me!"

Austin, with a stern face, said contradictory things: the Inverted World is the Inverted World, the Outer World is the Outer World. He and the scumbag Austin from the other side just shared the same name and face; they were not the same person by nature.

"Then don’t look at me with prejudice; I am not the same Wayne as the one from this world."

"..."

"Austin, say something!"

"I’ll try to distinguish between you two."

Austin pondered for a moment, "Come with me, I have something important to tell you. It’s crucial, regarding whether we can kill the Death Knight in battle."

Wayne quickly followed, noticing Austin’s secretive manner, not wanting others to know; he asked Philomena to stay put and wait for his return.

The two delved deeper into the underground base, and only Megan was privileged enough to follow.

Consistent inside and out, Austin’s trust in Megan remained unchanged with the shift of worlds.

The underground base stored a vast amount of supplies. Wayne saw a camera, waved it over, checked that it wasn’t damaged and could take pictures normally, then stored it in his Personal Space.

In the deepest part of the underground base, in a dark room, a man over two meters tall with golden hair and full of muscles, was wrapped in bandages, lying on the ground, sound asleep.

His features were strong and deep, with a stubbly beard, broad shoulders, and a thickset frame, his brawny arms covered in dense body hair.

Heat waves washed over them, and Wayne could feel from a distance the astonishing warmth emanating from the man’s body.

"This is the Sun Knight; if the Outer World hadn’t faced so many tragedies, you really would have been Veronica’s fiancé, and you should recognize him." Austin stood at the doorway, looking down at the sleeping strong man, a trace of sorrow flashing in his eyes.

Since entering the room, Wayne had been speechless, staring at the golden-haired strong man, stuttering, "Ve, Ve..."

"William?!"
