Chapter 965: Chapter 352 Inverted World’s Lundan_4
The illusion shattered with a single poke, and Wayne, unable to help himself, wanted to speak. Looking at the familiar face, he couldn’t bear it and swallowed the words he was about to say.
"Let’s go to Windsor Lunden, where we might be able to leave the Inverted World."
"There will be dangers on the way!"
"Like what?"
"Mages contaminated by the flesh and blood of Star Beasts..."
"That’s not a problem, I’m more unusual than they are."
Wayne withdrew his hand, slapped his buttocks, and motioned for Philomena to walk and talk, educating him on the current state of the Inverted World.
Philomena, feeling her buttocks attacked, assumed it was an intimate interaction between husband and wife, felt a twinge of jealousy, and tacitly allowed the behavior.
What she had, she had to have;
What she didn’t have, she had to have, too!
As they walked and talked, Philomena recounted the drastic changes of the last two years. When the Inverted World first formed, the impact of negative information had not yet spread, and people barely managed to retain their sanity.
Neighbors hoarded food, I hoarded guns, the neighbors are my food storage!
Soon, negative information infiltrated people’s hearts, social order collapsed, and the plundering of resources escalated from citizen to citizen, country to country, church to church.
"If you don’t kill my entire family, do you think you can leave?"
It was senseless, but this was the influence of the negative information. Everyone was losing their rationality on the brink of destruction—either you destroy others, or you destroy yourself. There was no such thing as quitting while ahead.
Mages were no exception. Those with stable and balanced magic could still hold on, while those with strong desires or unstable balance fell into collapse early on.
The snowball of negative information grew bigger and bigger, leading to an avalanche. Apart from the God-chosen Knights who could still keep their minds clear, others were dominated by negative emotions.
In this situation, the brainless Void Lifeforms actually stood up, following their inner desire to devour, hunting through every corner of the God-chosen Continent, preying on commoners struggling to survive in bunkers and isolated Mages.
The origin of the Void Lifeforms was easy to understand, there was no shortage of buyers, and they involved a line of evolution. Both the church and national Magic Departments had reserves.
After the apocalypse, dark-hearted Mages broke the seals and released the flesh and blood of Star Beasts.
Soon, Wayne saw the pale void lifeforms at the port. It resembled a whale, massive and spectacular, with a gaping maw and tentacles erupting forth.
Cutting to a new scene, Wayne and Philomena were on board the Whale Cruise Ship, heading to Windsor Lunden.
Both being Void Lifeforms, Wayne was more sensible when he spoke. In just a few words, he confused the whale, convincing it to transport them across the river and sea free of charge.

Windsor, Lunden.
Once a great metropolis, now it lay in ruins. Dead black vines crawled over broken walls, and everything that was once elegant and bright was now covered with dust and rust, the ground scorched, with the faint heat of lingering gunpowder.
The shops lining the streets were torn and tattered, collapsed houses, burnt-out car husks, and packs of wild dogs scavenging for bodies, accompanied by flocks of carrion birds.
Compared to Paris, Lunden undeniably had more signs of life.
A roaring engine sound erupted, a tank belching black smoke slowly made way, followed by two military trucks. Armed Mages jumped off and began searching the area for usable materials.
They had explored this road many times, always checking carefully, afraid of missing anything.
Boom!
Intense holy light descended from the heavens, like a precisely targeted artillery shell, screaming as it struck the tank.
Flames erupted, thick smoke billowed accompanied by the pungent smell of scorching, the ironclad violently torn open, metal wailing in the flames.
The tank was instantly scorched by the intense heat, the explosion’s shockwave unleashing a gale mixed with dust and debris, pelting in all directions like raindrops.
Amidst the fierce flames, the tank twisted and deformed, as two streaks of white light simultaneously descended, military trucks transporting soldiers followed suit, turning into blazing torches one after another.
A squad of magic soldiers raised their guns towards the sky, tongues of fire converging to form a deadly crossfire, the smell of gunpowder growing richer.
In midair, the winged bird monster cackled loudly.
Its head bore distinct bird-like features, a slender torso, pallid white skin all over, two arms on each side, fingers sharp as bird claws, wielding a Holy Light Lance navigating through the barrage of bullets.
She seemed in no hurry to kill the mages below, inhaling the rich scent of gunpowder and fear in the air, her crimson eyes full of intoxication.
At that moment, a pillar of white light struck from afar; the bird monster raised her Holy Spear in defense but was hastily downed by the holy light from the sky, crashing into the ruins and stirring up a great cloud of dust.
Flap flap!
Another figure flew in from a distance, also a bird monster, and save for the difference in height and build, their features were almost identical.
The weapons differed; the newcomer wielded a white Greatsword, the blade etched with golden cross patterns, exuding a sacred and solemn presence, far from ordinary.
The Oath Sword!
"Elizabeth, to draw you out so easily, has your brain rotted?"
The Bird Monster spoke in a sharp, clear female voice.
From the ruins, white wings soared into the sky, a violent airflow made a tornado, blowing away surrounding dust far and wide.
Elizabeth, that is, Juno, Wayne’s number one test subject, fixed her gaze on her archenemy opposite, her pupils flooded with red light, full of murderous intent, "Sophia, why are you here on my turf instead of groveling underneath your dark master?"
"To kill you, to avenge my son!"
"Is that so, My dear brother was clearly killed by you!"
Juno warily eyed Sophia’s Oath Sword in her hand, her lance raised, bursting forth with a blindingly brilliant light.
An arrow shot through the clouds; an army of thousands came to meet.
Now, Lunden had no such army, only those who could withstand the erosion of negative information and barely maintain combat capability were not to be trifled with.
Almost in the blink of an eye, Juno was joined by a new ’Angel’.
This Angel had white wings on its back, an entirely pale body, a head like an octopus, hair writhing like tentacles, two limbs without joints, and as for the lower half...
Gone, no lower half.
The new Angel was Juno’s fiancé, Alisa.
Queen versus Princess and her betrothed, three female Angels confronted each other midair.
The Princess had the numbers, but the Queen held the advantage in weaponry!
"Sophia, this is the trap I prepared for you, leave behind your sword and blood!"
The camera pulled back to the distance, a knight clad in black Armor rode out of a portal on an Undead Warhorse, Armor covered with battle scars, the skull head smoking with a crack from the eye socket to the upper jawbone.
The Death Knight—Wayne!
