Chapter 960: Chapter 351: Wayne, You This Birth!_3

Wayne felt puzzled again. The White Night Purity Words of the two worlds seemed not to be the genuine article and its projection; he preferred to call it inconsistent inside and out.

"A bit interesting, the Goddess’ hand must have extended to this world."

As Wayne muttered to himself, the meeting drew to a close. The current Moonlight Church was Galver’s one-man show, what he said went.

Everyone prepared to move, heading to Lundan with the greatest haste.

Galver named two Golden Mages, instructing them to carry supplies out as bait. Once Philomena appeared, he would personally capture her.

Why capture Philomena? Did she still have secrets?

Wayne was perplexed, not understanding what the old witch could offer. If it were Philomena from the Outer World, he could understand; the High Priest was stunning beyond measure, a temptation no official could resist.

But Philomena of the Inverted World? That seemed far less appealing.

After the meeting, the elite attendees dispersed, some packing, others taking up their roles as bait. Only Galver held his longbow, eyes closed, quietly bolstering his spirit.

White Night Purity Words could dispel the contamination of negative information and allowed him to grow stronger every moment.

Crack! Crack!

The sound of bones being crushed sounded, and Galver opened his eyes angrily, wanting to see who was disturbing his peace, prepared to discipline them. Seeing a strange face, he immediately became alert.

"Who are you?"

"Death Knight."

"..."

Galver’s eyes flashed with disdain; he might have never seen a Death Knight, but he was well aware that the other party was trapped in Lundan and couldn’t leave, let alone come to Paris.

"Forget it, it doesn’t matter who you are."

Galver stood up, gripping the White Night Purity Words, and the moment he drew the bowstring, Magic Power formed a deep blue arrow, aiming directly at Wayne: "To sneak in here without a sound shows your strength. I’ll give you a chance to live. Kneel and swear loyalty to me for life!"

"My knees are stiff, and I’m not good with words."

"Hmph!"

A fierce light gleamed in Galver’s eyes as he released the bowstring. The deep blue arrow turned into light, rushing straight at Wayne’s face. After passing through his body, it disappeared into a mountain of bones beneath the ground.

Watching the fallen body, Galver gave a slight exclamation, feeling something was not quite right, and stood at the ready, longbow in hand.

"You’re quite cautious..."

A low whisper came from beneath his feet, and Galver’s eyes widened as he saw a great surge of foam in front of him. At that moment, the bone mountain beneath him erupted like a volcano, countless bones soaring upwards, overthrowing the White Bone Throne.

Galver leaped into the air, narrowly escaping onto higher ground.

Eight pale tentacles burst from beneath the mountain of bones, failing to grasp Galver and sweeping across the space with a thunderous crash.

Wherever they passed, a sea of foam spread, seeping inescapably throughout.

"The Void Evil God! How could this world have a Void Evil God? How did you enter?" Galver said with manic joy, ready to capture a live specimen.

As he was thinking, the white sea below opened with a huge, solitary eye, sending out an invisible shock that violently shook Galver’s mind.

Darkness fell before his eyes, his head buzzing.

Atop the great tomb’s dome, foam rained down, the maggots wriggling into Galver’s long hair, nose, ears, or slipping through his armor’s crevices onto his flesh.

Galver then snapped back to his senses; his White Night Purity Words radiated moonlight brilliance and four moon phases aligned behind him, the Magical Tide bursting forth, evaporating all the foam from his body.

Blinding light shone forth with Galver at its center, a hundred-meter-long arrow extending above and below.

Downwards it pierced the solitary eye in the white sea, upwards it broke through the dome’s peak, its momentum unceasing as it soared towards the ruined city skies of Paris.

The terrifying force swept across the area, evaporating all the foam, leaving not a drop behind.

Galver, gripping the longbow tightly, looked around the now empty great tomb with a sense of relief, seeing nothing but wisps of mist and the disarray of bones everywhere.

The Void Evil God was dead.

Having killed Wayne, Galver felt both fortunate and sorrowful—fortunate to have narrowly escaped contamination and sorrowful that the opportunity presented to him had been destroyed by his own hand.

Given another chance, he would definitely not have used such excessive force.

Sighing with regret, Galver waved his hand to right the throne and arrogantly sat back in his original place.

He didn’t notice the white vaporous masses he considered high-temperature steam slowly dispersed, gradually covering the entire dome and sinking as moisture. A portion of it seeped into his nostrils.

"Knight Lord!"

The downcast members of the Moonlight Church ran over upon hearing the loud noise. Seeing Galver high upon the White Bone Throne, unharmed, all showed looks of disappointment.

No, looks of joy.

Galver noted the change in their expression, a cold sneer in his heart. He waved them away, demanding that everyone get lost.

He needed an hour of rest. During this hour, no one was to come close, no matter what noises they heard, no matter how loud.

"Where did that Void Lifeform come from? Why could it enter the Inverted World?"

"Could there be a rift in some corner of the Inverted World that connects to the Void..."

"Is there a possibility that the Void Lifeform came from the Outer World?"

Galver was muttering to himself, listening to the inner voice, shaking his head in denial and lamenting he was overthinking it: "It should be impossible, even with summoning, there’s only a one-way passage from the Inverted World to the Outer World."

After speaking, he realized something was amiss.

This wasn’t his inner voice!

Galver’s expression turned to terror, clutching the White Night Purity Words. The Magical Tide exploded once again, yet the foam had already entered his body, traveling through his veins, corroding part of his internal organs, and taking root in his brain.
