Chapter 941: Chapter 346: The Three Giants of Devil Alliance_4
Wayne cradled the Holy Grail in both hands, locking gaze with the Lord of Greed’s small eyes, channeling both the powers of Hell and Heaven into the Magic Stone at his chest.
As the jealous Familiar Smedley operated the Holy Grail, someone else present at the scene had recorded the process in their thoughts; replaying it wasn’t complex, just in case, that’s why Juno had been called back.
If nothing went wrong, he felt it would succeed on the first try.
Sinister Hell energy swirled around the Golden Holy Grail. Eyes tightly shut, Wayne murmured an incantation, and two tentacles emerged from beneath his feet, severing the arteries on Juno’s wrists, left and right.
Blood circled in midair, passing through the Grail acting as an external heart, was purified, and then returned to Juno’s body.
Experiment materials were precious; using one meant losing one, so Wayne was careful not to wreak havoc on Juno. The purification process was meticulously overseen and, as such, time-consuming.
Juno lay hazily on the experimental table, feeling her body heat up with each blood transfusion. Unable to bear it any longer, she unconsciously shifted into her Angel form, following the direction of her blood.
Wayne recorded the data in thoughts, noticing the strong Holy Light bursting from within Juno, mentally nodding in approval, evaluating the feasibility of performing the same operation on Chris.
High feasibility: the Divine Blood in Chris was partially developed. Ob had been interrupted midway, so it hadn’t fully awakened.
Ob’s method was definitely untenable. Sacrificing children in an Alchemy Array, such an act was beyond Wayne’s moral boundary. The Holy Grail wasn’t so maliciously conceived; though painful, the process was still bearable.
By now, Juno’s internal temperature was frighteningly high—enough to cook a normal person into a pot of meat soup.
This made Wayne wary, mentally recording the sight; he dared not let the delightful Chris end up like the delightful Juno.
The laboratory door swung open, Mona quickly stepped in, and upon seeing the Holy Grail and Juno, she paused in astonishment.
She switched in a second, yielding the principal position to Hexuno and urged him to say something.
Hexuno: (눈‸눈)
Archangel wished she could draw her sword and slay the pair immediately; naturally, she remained silent.
Wayne glanced at Mona and immediately recognized the defiant Archangel; he waved, "Mona, why stand so far away? Come closer."
Upon hearing this, Hexuno moved toward the door, distancing himself even further.
"What’s there to fear? I won’t eat you."
Wayne raised an eyebrow, "Besides, who eats whom is still up in the air, right?"
Hexuno’s face changed dramatically, he closed his eyes and bellowed at Mona; he had had enough and demanded she seal him off immediately.
Mona took over the lead again, chiding, "Boss, that was a bit harsh, you scared the Archangel."
"It’s his obsession with a false purity," Wayne rambled nonsensically. "If he were truly openhearted, he wouldn’t concern himself with superficial appearances and wouldn’t think about falling. Plainly speaking, his heart isn’t pure."
Wayne continued, "I know of an Angel who, in a moment spent indulging humans, would turn into a skeleton, enlightening those lost in physical desires. This is true purity, unlike the Archangel’s superficial purity, which is false."
You’re talking about a Succubus, right? x2
Mona wasn’t convinced, and Hexuno vehemently denounced Wayne’s nonsense. Due to his strong denial, Mona decisively agreed with Wayne, persuading Hexuno to transform into an Angel who valued inner purity over mere appearances.
Predictably, this invited Hexuno’s ridicule.
Even as an Archangel who always spoke elegantly, his words were repetitive; Mona felt nothing, reminded of today’s important business, and pushed Hexuno aside again.
Hexuno’s face showed a myriad of emotions, he clenched his teeth, "St. Paul Cathedral has sent out a warning, devils have reappeared in Lundan. Go and destroy them."
Devils appeared again!
Wayne kept quiet, internally complaining about Lundan’s attraction to devils. How often had this happened now? Were the Hell corporations running out of funds, only able to hold their team-building in Lundan?
"St. Paul Cathedral sent out a warning, did you hear?"
"I heard, but who are you?"
Wayne cocked his head towards Hexuno, jesting, "If it were Mona, she’s very good, talks very sweetly, she wouldn’t talk down to me like this. Could you be Archangel Hexuno?"
"No, I am not."
Hexuno hastily denied it, refusing to own up to his identity, whispering, "Boss, St. Paul Cathedral sent out a warning, there are devils in Lundan, hopes you can eliminate them."
"You called me what?"
"Bo-boss..."
"Louder, how can anyone hear you otherwise? Do you still want to eliminate devils?"
"Boss..."
Hexuno, humiliated, raised his voice, swearing to kill Wayne later.
Mona looked on dismissively; with her watching, Hexuno couldn’t lay a hand on Wayne. Instead of dreaming about killing Wayne, she’d rather trample him a few more times to reclaim some ground.
Wayne was amused, Hexuno regained some pride, ensuring his self-worth, bright futures lay ahead for all.
