Chapter 865: Chapter 326: So It’s You, Kid_4

Wayne furrowed his brows and said that Kel was the last one; he was sure to include him, knowing full well he was not one.

In other words, there was still a Reincarnated Angel yet to be discovered.

Where was it hiding?

It couldn’t possibly be him, could it?

Upon hearing this, Kel couldn’t help but give a bitter smile—this was exactly what he feared. He had no high ambitions and nothing much to pursue; for someone like him, holding a high position with responsibilities was a burden.

He might as well not be a Reincarnated Angel!

"Mr. Polo!"

Archibald fixed his gaze on Kel, his righteous look making it hard for Kel to meet his eyes, "When I was still a mere human, His Holiness the Pope once warned me, ’With great power comes great responsibility,’ and I convey that to you today."

Wayne: "..."

Mommy, that’s not a line you want to hear!

What was His Holiness’s name again, Ben Parker?

"I get it, it’s just...everything happened so suddenly, I need a moment to cool down."

Kel sighed and glanced at his watch on his wrist, "I have a date, promised a girl I’d dance with her today. I can still make it in time."

"Kel, the dance can wait until you’re back from the Papal State."

"That won’t do, she’s a conservative girl getting married tomorrow; tonight’s my last chance."

"..."

Is there a chance that he really isn’t the Reincarnated Angel?

"Alright, please go and come back quickly."

A constipated look flashed across Archibald’s handsome face; he turned to Wayne, hoping for some persuasion.

This is what gets you constipated? Wait till you see the girl he’ll be dancing with; you might end up with piles on the spot.

Wayne rolled his eyes, coughed lightly and earnestly said to Kel, "Joining the Reincarnated Angels organization has many benefits, membership even comes with a personal assistant—career and love, both fulfilled, no longer just a dream."

He pointed at Mona and Titus as he said, "Believe me, you can always trust the Pope’s taste."

Kel pouted, and Wayne stepped forward, whispering, "Members enjoy custom services; any requests can be discussed directly with the Pope. Our Holy See’s influence extends over the God-chosen Continent, countless nuns under our belt, surely you will find love here."

"Alright, I’ll trust you one more time!"

Kel nodded solemnly, addressing Archibald who looked feeble and love-struck, "When are we heading to the Papal State, can we leave tomorrow?"

Father in Heaven, strike this embarrassing fool dead with lightning!

Archibald rolled his eyes weakly, "There’s no rush, I still have to stay in Lundan for a few days."

"That’s fine, it doesn’t interfere with my date tonight."

Content, Kel left. Kids focus on distant loves; he took both near and far.

Once he was gone, Archibald, unable to hold back any longer, said, "Wayne, are you sure we haven’t got the wrong guy?"

"Give it up, he’s made it to heaven already; that’s how you angels are."

"Isn’t it ’we’?"

"No, I’m not an angel."

Wayne waved his hand dismissively, then curled a smile, "Who would’ve known, our Papal Envoy Archibald turning out to be a Reincarnated Angel! You really hid it well; I’d have still been in the dark if not exposed today."

"How could that be? You knew already," Archibald shook his head.

"When did I know? I was clueless!"

Wayne chuckled, "We’re friends, and you’ve deceived me so long, I should cut ties, but for world peace, I’ll step back. You owe me a favor, okay?"

"No way."

Archibald is a cunning one, not willing to owe anyone anything, fearing Wayne might ask too much in return, lowered his voice, "I know you know my identity. You also knew that day you went easy on, recognizing the Devil I was dressed as."

So, it was this guy!

"Figures it was you!"

Wayne raised an eyebrow knowingly.

No wonder the Devil’s suicide was so peculiar, no wonder he had given him gear before dying, and no wonder the Parchment Scripture, a relic that should be kept by the Holy See, ended up in the Devil’s hands.

"Wayne, you’ve already had your advantage, give me some dignity, let’s leave it at that."

Archibald smiled wryly, "Besides, believe it or not, my visit to St. George’s Church was to scope out the place, see if the Windsor Royal Family was hiding any other cards."

"I believe you."

Wayne nodded, he believed him.

Win and Old Login drops Gold Coins; lose and your brother scouts the road.

The logic is the same everywhere, why wouldn’t he believe!

Elsewhere, Kel strolled along the street, flagging down a taxi.

Though he spoke of seeking love in the Papal State, his body also earnestly anticipated the day’s arrival, but deep down, it still felt unbelievable.

"I’m actually an angel..."

"This passenger, where would you like to go? To Hell?"

The taxi driver glanced in the rearview mirror, his smile loaded with meaning. The moment he stepped on the gas, the taxi charged towards the Dark Abyss, speeding up as if it really was headed straight for Hell.

Kel’s eyes flickered with fear as a massive force of dark power assaulted him from all sides, making it hard for him to breathe.

A few seconds later, Kel’s eyes rolled back in unconsciousness, replaced by a divine consciousness that radiated from within.

In an instant, the taxi disintegrated, the surrounding darkness, along with the driver, crushed into dust by an invisible force.

’Kel’ stood emotionless on the street, eyes glowing with golden light, slowly looking into the distance.

When you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.

Kel saw a pair of dark, deep eyes and murmured, "You found me after all. So, what do you want with me?"

"You indeed regained your memory..."

The dark eyes looked down, uttering the name Kel was known by in Heaven: "Kiraal..."

"Here we meet again!"
