Chapter 860: 325

For example, researching obelisks, I remember when Ob tried to possess Chris’s body, he used the obelisk as an important prop.

It might actually work!

"About the surgery for the teacher and Veronica..."

Wayne planned to wait until the Dragon Tooth Sword was smithed before proceeding, to ensure that the Giant Dragon was truly dead, to avoid any unexpected issues during the process.

Austin had no objections, speaking slowly, "The power of the Royal Family has been completely wiped out, the Queen has given up the idea of seizing power back. I’ve been very tired recently, and I don’t want to expend any more energy on it."

"Father, are you going to officially ascend to the throne?"

"..."

Austin’s expression remained unchanged; such words could no longer stir any emotions in his heart. He continued, "I don’t have the ability to govern the country, nor do I have the energy. Rather than let the country decay under my rule, it’s better to let the Queen return to her original position."

"Is that necessary?"

Wayne felt that Austin’s arrangements were overly complicated. The Queen had already fallen from the pinnacle of power and couldn’t return; no matter how Austin arranged it, the Tulip Family knew who was the monarch truly worthy of their loyalty.

"I am too tired; I don’t want to waste time on meaningless matters."

Austin spoke leisurely, "If you have no objections, the Lando Family will revert to their former state, with my support for the Queen, instead of me controlling the power."

Compared to governing the country, he cared more about his wife and children’s warm bed; leave the national affairs to whoever wanted to bother with them. If Wayne was dissatisfied, he could simply go to Buckingham Palace and stay a few nights.

"Aren’t you afraid she might have ideas?"

"It doesn’t matter."

"..."

Looking at Austin’s laid-back attitude, Wayne shook his head and cursed silently, calling him a foolish ruler with no sense of responsibility. How would a prince be able to exploit his own people then?

The Lando line wouldn’t have to wait for a second generation, it would end with the first.

"Do as you wish. The Queen is just a puppet anyway. The Tulip Family knows what they should do."

Wayne also had no desire to be king, and he turned the conversation, "An envoy from Heavenly Father’s Court will arrive soon. I’ve met the envoy from the Pope already. You may not believe it, but Lundan has another Reincarnated Angel."

"Another one besides you?"

Austin’s eyes opened slightly; he knew most of Wayne’s secrets, including his identity as the Reincarnated Angel, and it had even earned him a loyal nun secretary.

"I’m a fake one, or in other words, both of Lundan’s Reincarnated Angels haven’t been discovered yet."

Wayne frowned and said, "I also won’t rule out another possibility, that there is only one Reincarnated Angel in Lundan, and the Papal State has a sensation of it. Though this possibility is not high; if they really have such a sensation, the Papal State should know that I am a fake."

"Is there a possibility that they already know you’re a fake?"

"I can’t rule it out."

Wayne shook his head, "Anyway, I’ve always denied that I’m a Reincarnated Angel, they insist on attributing this identity to me and even created a document for me that exempts me from any responsibilities."

He continued, "The devils in Paris are restless; finding the Reincarnated Angel would be beneficial for everyone. I will help find that Reincarnated Angel, and if we can find both, all the better."

"The Reincarnated Angel represents the power of Heaven, regardless of whether the Heavenly Father’s Court can represent Heaven, they’ve always been tied together. By doing this, are you living up to the identity of God’s Chosen Knight?" Austin was waiting to see the joke unfold.

"Enough, my head is already spinning."

Wayne lay on the couch, closing his eyes. He was treading on thin ice now, merely fortunate to have made it safely to the other side, wetting his shoes a few times. Let it be wet then.

If you are always by the river, your shoes are bound to get wet eventually. That’s still better than falling into the river completely.

Life is not easy; father and son sighed.

October 14th.

Viley’s birthday was one day away. Wayne asked the butler, Philark, to help arrange the gifts and to prepare the birthday party venue.

The venue was to be at Wayne Manor, clear and straightforward.

There might be some minor chaos on the day, but Wayne couldn’t worry about that anymore; he urged Dreyne to hurry up the process, to make sure the Giant Dragon died with a smile and to use everything to its full potential, fulfilling the hopes Saint George left for future generations.

The Queen was a descendant of Saint George, Austin was the Queen’s secret lover, and Wayne was Austin’s son. Therefore, he considered himself a rightful descendant of Saint George, which was rational and justified.

Wayne Manor’s study.

Wayne gestured to open the number one storage, a Dark Domain created by his mind. The entrance was located at the study’s bookshelf, coinciding with the previous resident, Sidney’s, idea.

The Dark Domain came in two forms: a fixed storage and Personal Space, their sizes depending on the mental strength of the Mage.

Wayne’s mental strength was considerable, and the Dark Domain he created matched his belief that bigger is better. Walking through it, he soon arrived at the core area.

Mona, holding the Golden Rule Bible, had set up the magic ceremony to find the Reincarnated Angel. Seeing Wayne’s arrival, she returned both the Golden Rule Bible and the Parchment Scripture.

By this time, she had transformed, and the Nun Battle Suit emphasized her devilish curves so much that even a fiend would praise her figure.

"Boss, the text recorded in this Parchment Scripture is too ancient. St. Paul Cathedral doesn’t have the corresponding translations and interpretations, so I cannot understand the text."

Mona continued, "Maybe the Holy See has a special collection of companion books to help with that. Shall I contact them for you?"

"No need, it’s just an old book, not worth such trouble. I’ll give it to Odilia to research; she’ll like it."

Wayne shook his head; the Parchment Scripture was a manuscript by Saint George, and because of him, the scripture was considered extremely precious.

Essentially, the Parchment Scripture had nothing extraordinary about it, just as The Book of Greed was rated quite poorly.
