Chapter 802: Chapter 311 Eye of Judgment
The once intact office building had become a pile of ruins.
Arriving a step too late, Anastasia stood leisurely on the sidelines, unhurriedly and elegantly attempting to break through the spatial barrier, with average efficiency but absolute elegance.
The four legendary mages opened up a new battlefield, escalating the battle all the way to the life force field.
Before leaving, Borne received an order to release life spores, inducing the growth of void lifeform flesh, and there on the spot, a pale swamp was created.
Prince Edward’s four bodyguards were formidable, engulfed by the highly corruptive flesh of the star beasts, each letting out a cry before their deaths.
The most formidable one let out several cries!
Edward and Carol were surrounded by writhing white foam, Borne’s research seemed to have made a significant breakthrough; the flesh of the star beasts, which should attack indiscriminately, was now encircling but not attacking, refraining from advancing a step to corrupt their bloodlines.
Edward’s surname was Windsor, Carol’s surname was Bourbon—one an active member of the royal family, the other a retired member, both possessing dormant divine blood within them.
Not far away, Alisa was the same; all the royal families and papal states of past nations had replenished their divine blood and had their own methods to activate it.
Not to mention the cost, having a sword at hand and having none were two different things; the more assets to stabilize the regime, the better.
Back to the main point, Prince Edward was mediocre in strength, with his divine blood talents invested in wooing women, and amidst the encircling white swamp, he rationally shielded his fiancée Carol behind him.
Edward possessed a teleportation ring, which, when activated, allowed travel between several office buildings of the magic department; but with the space disturbed by a mysterious figure, the teleportation ring had become nothing more than a worthless decoration, relying on Carol for offense.
Carol’s magic was very niche, playing a flute that affected the flesh of the star beasts, even capable of inducing them into a brief slumber.
This was not the mainstream belief on the God-chosen Continent and was related to Carol’s own bloodline.
Divine blood did not solely refer to the blood of a single deity, it could be from subsidiary gods, the main god, or even those deities whose names had been forgotten by history.
A blur flashed by, followed by a sinister laugh.
Carol’s hands ached terribly, the flute flew out of her grip, and she tremblingly raised her hands, looking at her palms that were rubbed raw, but before she could say anything, she was engulfed by the shadows behind her.
Douglas’s body swelled again, and having entered his familiar form, he was evolving every moment, his limbs becoming stronger, his mental processes seemed boundless as they continued to grow.
Standing at five meters tall at that moment, Douglas looked down from above, casting a large shadow; Queen Sophia was imprisoned in his chest, her cold skin overwhelmed the queen’s body, leaving only her delicate and beautiful face exposed.
Douglas stood behind Edward and Carol, and with a crack, crushed the flute to pieces, reaching down to grasp them both and dragged them into his body as the flesh in his palms writhed.
Douglas wished he could just strangle the bastard, but a voice in his mind told him that although the prince was not his son, he carried the Windsor Royal Family’s divine blood within him, and to conquer the Windsor in one fell swoop, to defeat Austin and take back everything, the prince must stay alive.
And there were Carol, Juno, and Alisa—holders of divine blood as well.
Soon, two more faces appeared on Douglas’s chest; Edward and Carol were also imprisoned by him.
The disparity in strength left no room for resistance.
Within the vast ruins, only Juno was still desperately resisting; two mechanical maid puppets created by alchemy had their joints filled with the flesh of the star beasts, lost control from Juno and launched a self-sacrificial attack on Alisa.
Juno didn’t yet know Douglas’s true identity or the purpose of the devil capturing them alive, and she didn’t dare reveal her angelic evolution’s true nature, choosing instead to wear Princess Elizabeth.
Princess Elizabeth was an unfinished Philosopher’s Stone, roughly processed by the Magic Department and finely by Heavenly Father’s Court, quite formidable in combat and had always been Juno’s strongest trump card.
Dressed in this skin, Juno became a winged angel clad in white armor, wielding a Holy Light Lance, her sanctified aura made it hard to defile.
Except by devils.
And the flesh of the star beasts.
After a full enhancement of attributes, Juno’s thoughts and magic power both amplified, akin to having pendants like the Crucifix, Heaven Holy Spear with uncertainties in strength like Mona; her power ebbed and flowed between that of a Golden Mage and a Legendary Mage.
Mona’s faith was devout enough; for her angelic master, rudimentary and reckless cobbling together of lives didn’t matter.
Juno’s faith, however, had to be questioned; she was a single-belief Liberty Mage, believing that Heaven yearned for angelic transformation solely because Heaven and angels represented absolute power.
Should she become queen, Windsor’s strategy towards the churches would not change; just because she believed in the Heavenly Father didn’t mean Windsor as a whole would lift the faith blockade against Heavenly Father’s Court.
As could be imagined, Princess Elizabeth was a faith accelerator manufactured by the Papal State, the more Juno wore it, the deeper it influenced her thoughts.
There was no simple-minded person or big fool; all of them were grappling.
The Holy Light Lance swept down the Holy Flame, spreading white fires everywhere, sweeping over relentlessly like a tide with no bounds.
In the next second, the white tide churned, terrible life force in a suicidal onslaught overwhelmed the Holy Flames, the fire of Kingdom of Heaven that burned everything fizzled out with a hiss.
Juno had tasted failure before and did not show much disappointment on her face. She knew it was not possible, but she acted anyway, seizing the moment to launch a sneak attack on the two uncontrollable maid puppets.
