Wayne patted Veronica on the shoulder and said solemnly, "I’ll handle them. Quick battle, quick decision. After this fight, I’m dropping out. I miss Chris and Vivi."

The logic was too chaotic. Veronica didn’t understand but noticed Wayne’s mood was off and he wanted to vent, so she simply let the opponent out.

Wayne’s feet erupted with magic power, and like a sharpened sword, he cut through the airwaves and soared into the sky.

The fist edge twirled with wind blades, striking towards the sharp beak of the Phoenix.

After a brief standoff, the Phoenix, with the momentum of its dive, overpowered the wind blades, and its relentless force pressed Wayne down from the sky.

Surging flames encircled from left and right, the Phoenix retracted its wings, transformed into a fireball, and tightly enveloped Wayne within.

Regina seized the moment and shouted, "Otilia, now is the time—act quickly."

The Phoenix’s bloodline had been developed by The Church for many years, possessing numerous complementary magic spells, which were impressive when cast, some even surpassing the Divine Arts.
