The warhorse underneath him also became a captive of the Succubus.

Austin lit up the King of Spades he held in his hand, and the gray mist painted on its face slowly dissipated, projecting into the real world. At the end of the darkness was the large lawn of Lando Manor, with a mansion on the left, a small woods on the right, the vista remarkably open.

The Succubus, pain etched on her face, hovered mid-air clutching her chest.

At the site of the penetrating wound, gray strands of death moved, sapping the life force from the Succubus, causing the wound to oscillate between healing and rotting flesh and bone.

She managed to use her scant Divine Power to completely purge the Death from her wound.

The Succubus didn’t attack again but looked down from her superior position at the Death Knight protecting Austin, her thin brows slightly furrowed, her long tail snapping and tearing through a black curtain.

A pair of sharp claws emerged, ripping the spatial portal into shreds.

A humanoid figure over five meters tall stood upright as it emerged, its slender body covered in deep blue scales, with black patterns all over it, a head that resembled a giant snake, and eight octopus-like tails on its back.

The Lord of Envy’s vessel on Earth, mainly symbolized by a snake, though cats and dogs also represented it. The current vessel was primarily modeled after a snake.

The octopus tails might have been inspired by the Encyclopedia of Hell, where the Lord of Envy was described as a sea monster devouring everything in its path.

Wayne squinted, the Sun Knight’s entire body securely enclosed in Armor, his face unrecognizable, wielding a blade of raging sunlight, a fiery red cloak billowing behind him like a banner.

His build was robust, broad-shouldered and long-limbed, seemingly not a woman.

"Austin, not summoning another Knight? Or has your luck run out?" the Succubus asked with a smile.

"Three against three, just perfect."

Austin pointed at the flesh blob where Wayne was hiding: "The heir of the Lando Family, also a Knight of the Lando Family, his strength is very strong..."

Mid-sentence, the flesh blob thrashed its tentacles, lunging at the Sun Knight.

This bewildering move not only confused the Succubus but also left Austin with a dark expression, as he drew two more playing cards.
