Chapter 282: Chapter 147: The Nine-Headed Hydra, The Death Knight Descends_3
What kind of combination is this, has the version been updated to this extent?
Wayne was so dismayed that he was ready to go back and arm himself with dual pistols, no longer a Death Knight but a Death Cowboy instead.
A lasso thrown out, and if it caught something, it was a scalp!
Crisis warnings came again, and Wayne rolled to the side, where his former position was now marked by a bullet hole smoking blue.
The dense footsteps and hoofbeats came closer, two Skeleton Knights wielding heavy firepower made Wayne curse under his breath, riding their warhorses and leading the Skeleton Soldiers on parade, fulfilling the coolness he had once aspired to but never managed to achieve.

Skeleton Infantry closed in from all sides, the Skeleton Soldiers waiting idly for assignments joined the ranks, the three Skeleton Knights, truly Bishop Sebastian’s proud creations, possessed remarkable intelligence, knowing who the enemy was and able to command the Skeleton Soldiers directly.
"Your figurine isn’t bad..."
"It’s mine now!"
Wayne reached out with one hand, pulling the Shadowmare from the void.
The pure, snow-like blade of the sword reflected light, revealing Wayne’s skeletal face as he donned black armor, transforming the moment he grasped the Knight’s Sword.
The portal opened, and the Undead Warhorse Yuliya was summoned by the Shadowmare, bending a front hoof in readiness for its rider.
Wayne leaped onto the Undead Warhorse, raising the long Knight’s Sword in his hand, with his tattered cloak, formed from Death Essence, billowing without wind behind him.
At the end of the Knight’s Sword’s hilt, the Ruby glimmered faintly, as a surging wave of Death’s impact spread out, sweeping across the field, submerging all the white skeletal remains.
The two Skeleton Knights dismounted, placed their hands over their chests, and knelt on one knee.
The Skeleton Infantry stood up straight, raising their weapons in salute.
The sniper from the vantage point descended at top speed, crashing to the ground, with skulls rolling everywhere, and without waiting to pick up their heads, they knelt and saluted with their hands over their chests.
On the ground, the discarded Oscar stood up again, breaking off a rib to hold it aloft above his head.
"How is this possible?!"
From a corner not far away, an exclamation was heard, not loud but exceptionally clear in the quiet.
"What are you hiding for, come here."
Wayne’s skeletal head pulsed with white light, he stared fiercely towards the source of the sound, and almost as his words fell, Mana rushed forward to the front of the Undead Warhorse.
He knelt down, attempting to kiss Wayne’s war boots but was kicked in the face by Yuliya’s raised front hoof.
Yuliya: I haven’t licked it today, so it’s not your turn!
Mana took a hoof to the face, but his expression was one of joy.
No grievance, for this was the imprint of a Death Knight’s hoof, effectively a stigmata from the Death Church, something countless people knelt for but couldn’t obtain.
He would never wash his face again!
"The great Death Knight, the announcer of Divine Decree, the master of the Underworld Great Tomb..."
Mana knelt again, rattling off a list of titles before saying, "Your Grace... Bishop Sebastian is unlocking the seal of the Obelisk, and soon, the stone tablet will be extracted."
Mana wanted to call out "Your Grace," but reconsidered; to him, the Bishop was His Grace, but in the presence of the God-chosen Knight of Death, Sebastian did not warrant such an honorific, not even the status of a petty man.
"Good, I’ve noted your loyalty. Keep up the good work, and you’ll not be without rewards."
"Thank you for your generosity, serving you is our greatest reward," Mana said, both shocked and delighted, and couldn’t help asking, "Respected Knight Lord, why did you punish Oscar? What did he do wrong?"
"Lift your head, and I’ll tell you the answer," Wayne said from on high, slowly raising the Shadowmare.
"..."
Mana swallowed, cautiously raised his head, trying to face the God-chosen Knight up close without seeming disrespectful.
Swish!
With a flash of white light, Mana’s head rolled to the ground.
His eyes were full of shock, unable to comprehend why his head had taken its own route.
Am I dead?
Why would I die, why would the Knight kill me?
Is it because I kissed his boots without permission?
But I didn’t even succeed!
Mana couldn’t figure it out, and the more he thought about it, the angrier he became, until in a burst of rage he took on the form of a Skeleton Soldier, wielding a rib fashioned into a scimitar, he stood beside Oscar.
Wayne had no idea that if he had waited just a bit longer to transform, he might have witnessed the Divine Power of the last Proxy, the Executor, Winter’s Wing Xizor.
"Lead the way, I want to see Sebastian!"
The Skeleton Infantry formed two lines, and the three Skeleton Knights mounted their steeds, leading the way ahead, their cold glows flickering, surrounding the Death Knight on his way to the Obelisk.
