Chapter 252: Chapter 137 Hell Gate Opens_2
This segment of the millipede’s body occupied one-third of its length, collapsing and reconstituting itself mid-air, reshaped by the thoughts of the Thousand-Eyed Demon.
The half-human, half-insect creature stood in midair, its lower half boasting hundreds of wriggling legs that rubbed against the air, producing an eerie, rustling sound.
In its upper half, feelers quivered around the chest and abdomen, and its head, shrouded in black mist, continuously flickered with pairs of red eyes.
The Thousand-Eyed Demon’s hands condensed Dark Scimitars, slashing down at the Demon Bat with massive blades, each over a hundred meters long.
The Demon Bat spread its wings and retreated, raising its hands to summon forth the Red Scorching Sea, which failed to engulf the Thousand-Eyed Demon as expected. Instead, the giant, now streaming with red mud, punched toward the Thousand-Eyed Demon.
The Dark Scimitars easily severed the Lava Giant’s arms, but the oncoming tide of magma left the Thousand-Eyed Demon extremely disheveled, its thoughts scorched and its soul in excruciating agony as if it were being grilled on fire.
The half-human, half-insect monster let out a roar, waving the black scimitar to draw a curtain of black smoke. Magma kept attaching to it, heating the black veil to a scorching, glowing red.
A red hand tore through the black curtain as the Lava Giant lunged at the Thousand-Eyed Demon.
The Thousand-Eyed Demon swung the Dark Scimitars again, and Mid-air, was grabbed by the Lava Giant’s hands.
Energy collided, the roaring sound ceaselessly shaking the surrounding space, which was on the verge of collapse.
The Demon Bat, unperturbed, controlled the Lava Giant, with its six golden eyes shining fiercely, the giant hands gripping the Dark Scimitars suddenly exerted force, silently shattering the hundred-meter-long blades.
His power has grown stronger again!
How could he learn so quickly?
With the Thousand-Eyed Demon’s expression changing dramatically, the Lava Giant, in a sacrificial leap, raised its arms for a bear hug, pressing the half-human, half-insect creature underneath it as they both plummeted into the Red Scorching Sea below.
With a thunderous splash scattering molten rock, screams echoed across the sky.
Having dealt with one-third of the millipede, Wayne controlled the Demon Bat to fly higher, glancing at the Angel who had added another lock to Hell Gate, raising a single hand as two massive Lava Giants rose into the air, trapping the millipede between them, front and back.
Hisssing sounds of air bursting open, the millipede enraged, its shell visibly turning from black to red.
"To Hell with you!"
Wayne pressed down with one hand, the massive Lava hand smashing the struggling millipede towards the sea of magma.
The scorching flood spread in all directions, trapping all thoughts of the Thousand-Eyed Demon within the magma, leaving it with no escape, awaiting its final withering.
Beneath the lava, the Thousand-Eyed Demon wailed miserably, watching the Demon Bat grow rapidly against the torment of its burning soul, its envy and hatred reaching the apex.
It had planned to preserve its entire soul and return to Hell with most of its thoughts intact, which was why it had been preparing and delaying the self-destruction of its mind.
Not anymore, its thoughts could be abandoned, and its soul sacrificed. Today, it would abandon everything just to drag the Demon Bat down to Hell.
Its dispersed thoughts rapidly contracted around the soul, and Wayne immediately sensed the danger, hastily flapping his bat wings and diving into the sea of magma below.
The viscous molten flow hardened around him into a solid landscape of unyielding rock.
Renata also noticed the disturbance below, gritted her teeth, and voluntarily left the host body, sending it to Artley and Gunther’s side.
Her thoughts reached out through a Spatial Fissure to the outside world, finding St. Paul Cathedral’s location, her gaze piercing through the portal and tossing the three inside.
Without Renata’s Holy Spirit Physique to anchor her, the Angel’s thoughts were rapidly drawn to Heaven, disintegrating quickly. She resisted the pull fiercely, standing before the seal, refusing to budge and using the last of her strength to prevent Hell Gate from opening.
Boom!
A pillar of black light shot into the sky, aiming directly toward where the Hell Gate was located.
A black semi-spherical body slowly expanded within the Flaming Sea, initially growing slowly but, as the space completely collapsed, the entire Lava Territory shattered like a mirror. Suddenly it ballooned by a thousandfold, ten thousandfold.
Humming———
The dreadful Energy Vortex swept across in all directions, with shockwaves spreading, the energy torrent crushing everything in its wake, the broken space twisted like the surface of water, creating ripples that spread far and wide.
Time came to a momentary halt!
The instant the flow of time returned to normal, the Red Scorching Sea surged upwards, shattering under the frightful energy wash, the solidified Red Continent heaving and rolling, large chunks of earth were flung high into the air.
The black pillar that pierced straight toward Hell Gate swelled to its limit, breaking through the Angel’s phantom, shredding the locks and chains, burrowing deep into Hell Gate.
The dark vortex reversed its course, with black lightning sweeping down.
The black light swallowed the red, and deep within the distortion, a portal slowly opened. The Angel tried to stop it, but could only watch powerlessly as Hell Gate officially opened.
A grand force surged from Hell Gate, targeting the Lava Territory, destroying the remnants of the Thousand-Eyed Demon’s self-destruction, and as this force pulled, the entire Lava Territory crumbled into pieces, flying toward Hell Gate.
"This is..."
The Angel paused, the result of Hell Gate’s opening being ten thousand times better than she anticipated—no Demon King had come, not even a passing Familiar was seen.
More than that, it pulled back the Hell Territory that had resided in the human realm.
I’ve never seen anything like this (strike through)
I really have never seen anything like this!
Although the process was convoluted and somewhat incomprehensible, the result was favorable. Satisfied, the Angel responded to Heaven’s call and prepared to depart.
But first!
Turning around, the Angel’s phantom looked toward the Demon Bat, deeply buried in the earth’s crust. The Thousand-Eyed Demon had already paid the price for its ambition, and this unknown new devil would be no exception.
