Chapter 202: Chapter 119: What you’re doing is indecent

"Teacher, this doesn’t seem quite appropriate."

Wayne spoke in a dry tone. Even though it was just a test, his punches were neither light nor heavy. If he happened to hit too hard and injure someone, wouldn’t he become a villain who beats up his benefactor?

What, Dragon Blood?

Even Dragon Blood is not okay!

Wayne glanced outside the ring where Veronica stood at the corner of the wall, her face showing schadenfreude as she waited to see someone get beaten up. Next to her stood the expressionless butler, Megan.

Typically, as the head butler of the Lando Family, Megan was inseparable from Austin, following him around like a little tail behind the male master of the house.

Suddenly showing up at the base definitely meant she was on a mission.

Wayne looked at Hefei, who was in a light outfit, then at his own fists. No, he couldn’t throw his punches at her; he requested a change of opponent.

Not the old one, but the young one will do. Bring Veronica over!

"Don’t worry, it is just a test. I know that your Essence of Life is extremely strong. Ordinary Silver Mages are no match for you, which is why I am personally testing you." Hefei stretched her arms and legs.

Teacher, it’s not that I’m worried about, but I’m concerned that all the cement barrels on the market might sell out overnight.

Wayne, with a constipated look on his face: "That being said, you are still a lady of elegance; perhaps we should switch to Veronica."

What do you mean, I’m not elegant?

Veronica huffed, "Just say it if you’re itching for a fight, there’s no need to be so indirect."

Hefei finally realized, that’s right, he’s still just a pure-hearted young man, and facing such a glamorous big sister like her, he’s inevitably going to hold back.

She asked Megan to bring over two pairs of boxing gloves, wearing a pair herself and handing another to Wayne.

The gloves exposed the fingers, covered the palms and backs of the hands, and were padded with thick sponges to cushion the knuckles and bones, increasing the contact area and somewhat absorbing the force of the blows.

Wayne put on the gloves, clinched his hands into fists, and found that they felt almost like regular gloves. For someone as powerful as he was, the only benefit of the gloves was to avoid the embarrassment of physical contact during the fight.

With that settled, there was nothing left to hesitate about.

"Teacher, I’m going for it!"

"Attack—"

Hefei was cut off mid-sentence as she saw Wayne charge at her, his left hand throwing a feint to attract her attention, while his right fist, poised to strike, aimed straight for her face.

"A very practical little trick."

Hefei raised her hand to catch the fist, her fingers tightening just enough to grip Wayne’s fist, and with a sidestep, she threw him over her shoulder.

Wayne flipped in the air and landed lightly. Hefei didn’t pursue her advantage but instead said, "I’m not a Mage in the traditional sense. Dragon Blood has given me tremendous physical strength, which gives me an absolute advantage in close combat. Don’t hold back your strength; attack freely, I’m not as frail as you might think."

Wayne nodded, took a deep breath, and his gaze became sharp in an instant.

He stood on his toes, his shoulders shifting for three to five seconds, then he lunged forward from his tiptoe stance, his fingers clawing straight at Hefei’s chest.

Hefei stood still, not intending to dodge, and as Wayne got close, she suddenly lifted her hand to grab his wrist, voicing her displeasure, "If you don’t put in more effort, I will not hold back—"

Before she could finish speaking, Wayne forcefully extended his arm, slipping from Hefei’s grip at the wrist down to his elbow.

Wayne grabbed Hefei’s neck, tightened his fingers, and surged forward.

The explosive power surprised Hefei, who stomped on the ground to stop her setback while simultaneously capturing Wayne’s neck with a clawing grip.

There were limits to playing it safe; she was not the type to take a loss without counterattacking.

The two engaged in a deadlock on the spot as their terrifying strength erupted explosively.

Teacher facing student, student facing teacher; not fully aware of each other’s limits, neither dared to use their full strength, cautiously increasing their power little by little.

The floor, the solid cement floor, suddenly cracked open.

The two spectators held their breath, with Veronica watching intently as the battle progressed, her breathing quickening over time, feeling the urge to join in due to the influence of her bloodline.

This morning, Hefei told Veronica that Wayne had completed the Hexagram, officially becoming a Mage, and that his Essence of Life was incredibly strong.

Veronica was incredulous; it couldn’t be that quick.

She knew Wayne had high talent, having received approval from both Chris and his mother, but high talent often meant spending a long time laying the groundwork. It seemed too soon for Wayne to have completed the Hexagram, so his Essence of Life couldn’t be all that strong.

But now it seemed...

For someone who had just completed the Hexagram, to have such exaggerated Essence of Life, what would happen when he reached Silver or even Gold?

Veronica broke out in a cold sweat at the thought, envisioning a scenario where she threw a punch at Wayne, who didn’t even flinch, and then he countered with a punch that sent her flying.

No, that cannot happen!

In the center of the ring, the struggle between Wayne and Hefei escalated. They each grabbed the other’s neck and shoulder, checked each other’s eyes, and then both exerted their strength with full force.

Bang!

The floor couldn’t withstand the impact of their explosive power, shattering and cratering, with dense web-like cracks splaying out from the indented footprints.

Wayne felt a monstrous force sweeping through his body from his shoulder, overwhelming even his robust physique. The tremendous pressure rolled over his body, making his joints crack like snapping beans.

This is Dragon Blood, isn’t it? Talk about having an advantage!

Wayne lifted his head and thudded it against Hefei’s forehead, feeling as if he’d hit a slab of steel. Whether Hefei felt pain was unknown, but he definitely felt plenty of it.

So hard, how can Old Login handle it?

Wayne let go of Hefei’s neck and threw a hook punch to her abdomen. Dragon Blood had not only given Hefei immense strength but also formidable physical defense. Each punch he landed felt like hitting steel.
