Gasping for breath, Magic walked into the heart chamber from another passage, unbuttoned his shirt, and complained about the terrible conditions.

The soldiers aimed their guns at Magic, and with Heidi’s command, the sound of bullets being fired was incessant.

After a barrage of bullets, Magic stood unscathed, shaking his arm that gradually became transparent, and then vanished with a laugh.

Heidi pulled out her right arm, which had been embedded into the rock wall; her slender, fair arm looked no different from a normal person’s, the red nails long as if manicured.

She glared fiercely at Magic, clashed their minds, breaking through his mental defenses, and took control of the blood flow once again.

Magic was pressed against the stone wall, his neck tightly gripped by her delicate hands, completely losing the ability to fight.

Heidi looked down at Magic from above, stretched out her left hand to rip off his white shirt, and threw the Crucifix pendant away with force, "Mage, your blood smells so tempting."

At that moment, Magic raised his arms level, forming the shape of a Crucifix, with Holy Light bursting forth. The light, so intense that it overwhelmed the Magic Array, condensed into the form of a holy spear before releasing and piercing easily through Heidi’s torso.

The palm-sized hole eradicated her breastbone, spine, heart, and instantly withered the life out of Heidi. She slumped to the ground, her body reverting to human form.

"Ha, ha————"

Gasping for air, Magic leaned against the wall, Holy Light coursing through him, slowly healing his battered body.

"The magic of blood is still so thorny. Could it be that those old fools were right... Humanity does have its limits."

Two minutes later, Magic shook his groggy head, barely recovering to eighty percent fighting strength, and turned to look at Myron Bart, who had been sitting motionless, "Mr. Bart, if I’m not mistaken, my client is you, not your son Hayden. You fabricated a nice dream for him."
