Chapter 1360: Chapter 451 Devil: Tough Situation, Attack Together

The distant mountains blend with the darkness of the sky, crimson light flickers, and arcs of electricity crackle.

In the nearby Black Forest, ghostly wisps of blue flames float erratically, blood-red streams run through piles of rubble; the air is filled with the acrid stench of sulfur, blood, and charred remains. Inhaling just a breath burns the lungs fiercely.

This is Hell!

At the center of the rubble, there stands a rather large black castle, still under construction. A group of ragged green-skinned goblins carries cut stones, pushing wooden carts into the construction site.

These green-skinned goblins are the lowest tier of devils in Hell, with a single protruding horn on their foreheads, and they bear a striking resemblance to the goblins that female mages, knights, and priests use for daily tasks.

The overseer is also a familiar species, an evolved form of goblin—a giant demon.

Wayne stands atop the watchtower of the castle, looking down at the bustling construction site below, his handsome face lined with sorrow.

He cannot comprehend how Soskuna succeeded in something that even the Lord of Envy couldn’t achieve.

Judging from the fluctuations in the surrounding space, he roughly understands what happened.

Soskuna’s mind reached Hell, acquiring a piece of territory centered on this castle, radiating five hundred kilometers—a modest domain for a lord.

He himself didn’t reach Hell, but his mind remained there, connecting his being to Hell and relocating Wayne’s space to Hell.

This cumbersome, thankless task severely wounded his physical body, and his mind avatar in Hell died on the spot.

Originally meant as a trump card for survival, in case of theft encounters, he could not find a way to escape and was beaten by Wayne to the point of doubting life, so he used his trump card against him in anger.

This move—devils of Hell can’t use it. The Abyssal beings, whose Abyss became Hell’s backyard, were affected by the Heaven Seal, greatly reducing its cost-effectiveness.

Use it on oneself, cooperation with teammates is required, no defenses set; against an enemy, one’s own realm and cultivation must be higher than the opponent’s.

Wayne just happened to meet this requirement, even though he bested five, pinning Soskuna and other demigods to the ground; in terms of realm, Soskuna was a genuine demigod.

"Indeed, the older is wiser; these demigods anticipate defeat before victory, prioritizing their lives above all else."

Wayne shook his head repeatedly; yesterday he soared alongside the Archangel, today he fell into Hell—the psychological disparity was too great, the experience utterly dreadful.

Despite being here, he just wanted to leave immediately.

There’s only one way to return to the Mortal World from Hell—open the Hell Gate!

"Once I stood at the forefront stopping the Hell Gate, now I’m racking my brains to open it—is this a boomerang?" Wayne’s expression turned bizarre.

Looking on the bright side, he doesn’t need to completely open the Hell Gate; he only needs his mind to enter the Mortal World to find Hexuno in Windsor Lunden. The Archangel’s connection from Mortal Hell to Earth is unimpeded, naturally bringing him back to the Mortal World.

The key lies in how to allow his mind to enter the Mortal World.

This subject, devils have researched for many years. Each possesses extraordinary skills, summarizing a complete set of procedures.

Wayne need not overthink; just go and learn, borrow the method, and be done with it.

But first...

"First, break through the demigod bottleneck!"

Wayne sank his body down, plummeting five hundred meters beneath the castle, bathing in lava, starting to impact the Golden Triangle within him.

The Golden Triangle is the symbol of a Golden Mage, Legendary Mage. Gold is the beginning, laying the foundation; legend is the sedimentation, a process of extensive knowledge acquisition.

Once the foundation is solid and the background is sedimented, the transition phase complete, one can break through the bottleneck, attempting to challenge the Demigod Realm, truly transcending the meaning of life.

Wayne examined the exceptionally sturdy Golden Triangle within him, silently praising its stability.

If it were other Legendary Mages, contacting a vast amount of knowledge at once, the Golden Triangle would lose balance and collapse instantly, causing the Legendary Mage to become a vegetative state amidst the collapse.

It has nothing to do with the cleanliness of knowledge or pollution; knowing too much isn’t good.

Golden Triangle: Life, Void, Self.

To explain it simply, it can be understood as Essence of Life, Knowledge, and Mind. With the influx of a large amount of knowledge, the mind is unable to process, and excessive knowledge changes the Essence of Life, thereby affecting the mind.

Like dominoes, under chain reactions, the mind completely collapses, the Essence of Life repeatedly ravaged by knowledge, eventually reduced to the likeness of knowledge.

This, in essence, is almost the same as the Corruption of the Life Domain, or its bestowed Evolution.

The difference is, the Life Domain is an active skill; demigods creating kin decide based on circumstances and won’t overfeed their kin, letting them burst alive.

The Golden Triangle within Wayne is overly stable; knowledge always chases after his Essence of Life and Mind. Unless an Ancient God speaks directly to him, his Essence of Life remains unchanged.

It will only continue upward along the path of Evolution!

Now, what he must do is to extract all the law information from The Book of Greed, heavily damage the Golden Triangle in one blow, utterly shatter and unify it.

A demigod is a unity—Life, Void, Self merged into one, an independent cosmos beyond mortal definition of life.

On this point, Wayne has researched extensively on Hexuno, with his mind recording a wealth of data.

With work to copy, it poses no challenge for him.

If he fails, there’s only one possibility—he didn’t get enough free knowledge!

...

Two days later, June 1st on the God-chosen Continent.

A pale figure steps out of the magma, his aura subtle, seemingly transparent. Though he exists and can be perceived with the naked eye, he is instinctively ignored and cannot be captured by perception.
