Chapter 1205: Chapter 413: Not good, the Archangel is harboring a murderous intent!
"I don’t care if you’re pure, but you shouldn’t have caused him to lose his purity!"
"You heinous sinner!"
"Heaven is ashamed because of you, while the Devil takes pride in you!"
Heya kept on the offensive, her words cutting like sharp knives, brutally attacking until Hexuno’s health bar was depleted, leaving the Archangel pale-faced, trembling as he bowed his head and hugged his shoulders.
To prevent Heya from being in mortal danger, worried that her corpse might be found at the church entrance the next day, with a few feathers beside it, Wayne coughed loudly with a clenched fist.
"Shut your mouth!"
Wayne walked over to Hexuno, lifted his hand to embrace him, Hexuno struggled for a moment, then Mona held down his hands.
Completely immobilized.
The Archangel realized that in a past life he must have committed a grave sin that destroyed the God-chosen Continent, otherwise, he wouldn’t have killed himself in this life.
Seeing Wayne embracing his secretary and acting all smitten, Heya was beside herself with rage and blurted out: "You..."
"I said, shut your mouth!"
Wayne interrupted her, wrapping his fingers around her shoulders: "Whatever you think, she’s innocent. The Pope is the true root of all evil. The Pope made her sign a Golden Rule contract with me, under the pretense of bestowing Stigmata, to keep her close to me day and night..."
"Back then, my memory hadn’t awakened yet. A young man in the prime of his life, faced with a blindly admiring and obedient nun, it was inevitable that mistakes would happen. I remember it was a thunderous night, I got up in a rush, and we bumped into each other in the bathroom. Our eyes met, the atmosphere turned intimate, she averted her gaze, her breathing quickened, and then..."
"In any case, the mistake isn’t hers, the Pope and I are to blame."
Juno: (ꐦ ̄皿 ̄)ง
You’ve laid so much groundwork, but where’s the climax? Spit it out!
I’m dying of anticipation here!
The two central characters in the conversation carried weight, with Juno standing by like an extra, comparing herself to Mona - neither had any right to speak, they had to suppress their curiosity about the plot, however dissatisfied.
"Damn the Pope!"
Heya cursed once again, her eyes glaring at Wayne: "Even so, you’ve now awakened your memory, you know who you are, you should break off your relationship with her immediately. Only then can you maintain your purity."
"Self-deception?"
Wayne sneered, looking down at the Archangel in his arms who remained silent: "Things have come this far. Whether I like it or not, what had to happen has happened. If I leave her now, it means I’m nothing but a hypocritical Angel chasing false honor. How does such behavior differ from that of the Devil?"
Hexuno: Mona, he’s gaslighting me.
Mona: You’re overthinking it; he’s not even talking to you.
Wayne continued: "True purity lies not in the flesh but in the spirit, in morality. After enduring her oppression, I emerged unblemished and confronted the situation without running away, maintaining my original kindness. Who dares say I’m not pure?"
Hexuno: Mona... Never mind, let it be.
Having been shut down by Wayne, Heya couldn’t find the words to respond, opening and closing her mouth, at a loss for where to begin.
After a moment, she said fiercely: "Damn the Pope!"
In the midst of speaking, she fiercely glared at Hexuno in Wayne’s arms once more. The Archangel was too kind-hearted to bring up breaking up. The shameless little nun had better watch her back when walking at night, lest she fall into Heya’s hands.
Heya had a temper and just the thought of the Archangel being tainted, repeatedly so, made her want to kill the secretary herself.
Her eyes were sharp, she could tell Mona’s body wasn’t pure; but her perception was poor, completely missing the fact that the little nun was actually her superior.
Seeing Heya fall silent, Wayne pulled Hexuno to sit down again, granting them VIP seating, comforting them: "Don’t be scared, Heya is a good Angel, just with a bit of a temper. She means no harm... right, Heya?"
"..."
"Speak up, will you!"
"Hmph!"
Heya refused to speak and glared fiercely at little Bichi.
She didn’t quite understand, although Angels were said to be genderless, they had gender preferences. For example, herself, her leader Hexuno, and Auga reincarnated as Seraphilis, all leaned towards being female despite being neutral.
Logically, after she and Auga reincarnated into human females, their big boss Hexuno should also have been a female.
Heya couldn’t figure out where the issue was that caused her big boss to have a problem after reincarnation, and from that small problem, others ensued.
Luckily, the problem wasn’t too significant, fortunately, it was a male gender issue. If it had been female, it would’ve been irredeemably stained.
Thinking this, Heya glanced at little Bichi, such a case was beyond redemption.
Heya consoled herself, glad that the leader was Wayne and not the secretary, otherwise Hell’s Devils would die laughing – they could forget about Hell jokes then, Heaven jokes could reign supreme for ten thousand years.
Heya hummed from time to time, sounding quite sarcastic.
"Hum again and I’ll rip out your tongue!"
Wayne dropped a harsh line, then asked: "Tell me, what are Pedro and Seraphilis’ real names in Heaven?"
"You already know?"
Heya frowned tightly, dissatisfaction in her eyes as she glanced at Juno – she knew this wallflower couldn’t be relied upon.
Juno felt numb all over, insignificant as she was, she couldn’t afford to offend either side - what could she do about it?
Heya glared fiercely at Juno, trying to kill her with her eyes. Juno at first didn’t understand, but then had a sudden realization and said: "Wayne, I just remembered something very important, my fiancé is giving birth, if there’s nothing else, I’m going to go attend the birth."
