Chapter 1178: Chapter 406: I Want It All_2

It’s not a big problem, just a few lashes and they’ll be compliant.

Sang Lan continued to narrate the circumstances, the three churches of the Life Alliance in collusion with the Heavenly Father’s Court had taken control of the entire Frank Magic Realm. They cooperated while competing overtly and covertly, their entangled interests were so convoluted that they have sustained for hundreds of years, almost indivisible.

If you don’t look, it’s fine, but once you do, it’s all Insectoids.

In this situation, it’s impossible for the Life Alliance to kick out the Heavenly Father’s Court, but when the Devil arrives, the opportunity comes.

The Devil descends, the Heavenly Father’s Court dies abruptly, and the Life Alliance, with tearful gratitude, reaps the faith. How delightful.

Wayne, having heard the gist, immediately had a face full of black lines. Sang Lan hadn’t made everything clear, but those who understood knew that this malicious tactic was aimed at overthrowing the influence of the Heavenly Father’s Court in Frank. If successful, every clergy in Frank would be doomed.

At the very least, tens of thousands would die or be injured.

As for the struggles between beliefs, Wayne had no comment to offer, respecting others’ destinies, letting go of the compulsion to help.

Ditch the unnecessary concern to avoid thankless effort and attracting trouble.

But he was annoyed with the Life Alliance tacitly allowing the growth of The Black Principle Cult bit by bit, nibbling away at the Heavenly Father’s Court.

It mattered little what the Heavenly Father’s Court was like, but as it had numerous followers, should the Devil gain complete control and use it for large-scale sacrifices, the consequences would be unthinkable.

Wayne’s face darkened as he set down his legs and beckoned with his fingers, "Your nose is a bit flat, I didn’t fix it properly when I reshaped your body just now. Come here, I’ll help you fix it."

Sang Lan shook her head repeatedly, retreating to the door and grabbing the doorknob, determined to call for help if Wayne dared to mess around.

She was ready to go down fighting!

Wayne’s eyes widened, his thoughts transmitted through his body, unleashing the invisible tentacles which coiled around Sang Lan’s plump body, suspending her in midair and silencing her mouth that sought to cry for help.

"Mmm mmm..."

Sang Lan opened her mouth wide, encountering the invisible Tentacle Monster, as her white robe tightened, revealing her lovely figure.

"You probably still don’t realize who you’re speaking to. If it weren’t for Saina, you’d already be dead by now," Wayne muttered irritably. That saying is quite correct; you can’t just investigate everything, can you? What if you find something?

Sang Lan kept Wayne from investigating, but Wayne was determined to do so and immediately the investigation led to Saina.

His own kin surely couldn’t be investigated. She was beautiful and even slept more than enough, any missed opportunity had to be compensated twice over. Even if something was found, at most it would be punished privately and not made public.

As such, there was no choice but to clean up the mess.

Wayne waved his hand to release Sang Lan. Since he couldn’t lay his hands on Saina, he could only vent his frustration on her, "You, as a Regional High Priest, represent The Church’s dignity in Frank. How unbecoming to be so disheveled!"

I’m not untidy.

"Oh, you dare talk back!"

Wayne glared harshly at Sang Lan, "Just now your untidiness showed when you bent down to seduce me. You have the appearance of a decent woman, but your methods are so despicable, and even seem delighted by it."

With a flush, Sang Lan’s face turned red. Based on her research, Wayne had a general reputation of being a lecher. She had suspected that Wayne might dismantle her plans, so, out of necessity, she took it upon herself to seduce him. How did that become despicable, as if she enjoyed it?

This is a tactic, scouting the enemy.

She hadn’t expected that though Wayne had been fully alert, he didn’t let slip any flaws.

Nor did she expect that the shameless one would turn the tables, accusing her of being brazen. She could have looked away if she had the guts!

Wayne lectured her bitterly for half an hour, being sarcastic, shameless, cunning, greedy, narrow-minded, and utterly despicable... Projecting all of himself onto Sang Lan.

Internally, Sang Lan cursed back, her opinion of Wayne being that aside from his fists, he had no other redeeming qualities.

"I won’t waste words, the plan of the Life Alliance stops here. Call the other two High Priests, I want to see them in person," Wayne ordered.

"I’m afraid that’s not possible, regarding Lady Saina..."

"Ha, she’s already in trouble!"

"..."

What’s really the relationship between you two?

Previously, Sang Lan thought Wayne was just a pretty boy who had risen to power by mooching off women, a Legendary Mage built from resources. After taking a punch, she felt that the dynamic between Saina and Wayne might be reversed.

Wayne on top, Saina below.

If that were the case, she would need to reassess the current hierarchy at the Church headquarters.

Sang Lan took a deep breath and humbly said, "Divine Oracle High Priest, the Life Alliance consists of three churches. We have no authority over the other two, and with profits at stake, the Naturalism Church will exit, leaving only the Sun and Moonlight Churches to intensify their efforts."

"Don’t worry about that, call them out, I’ll persuade them," Wayne said nonchalantly.

"The plan of the Life Alliance is very dangerous. You haven’t succeeded yet, and the Devil already has. This act is no different from being in league with demons. I will not let countless people risk their lives to join your fight for fame and profit," Wayne said, shaking his head.

Do you actually care about ordinary people?

Sang Lan was slightly startled, not expecting this ruthless man, who readily took lives, to turn out to be a kind-hearted bastard.

She lowered her stance, her tone carrying a hint of respect, "Divine Oracle High Priest, the Life Alliance has investigated The Black Principle Cult. The Devil secretly supporting The Black Principle Cult isn’t strong. The Devil won’t be successful—Life Alliance will stop him. Your worries are unnecessary."

"Your ignorance and pride also surprise me. My evaluation of you is ’foolish’!" Wayne said mercilessly.

With a face turning steel blue, Sang Lan said, "Divine Oracle High Priest, the intelligence was gathered by a joint effort of several Legendary Mages. We have full confidence..."

"The ’Giant Demon’ Andrius is the Devil supporting The Black Principle Cult, with strength and abilities on the lower end in Hell. Even if he descends to the Mortal World, we have the power to send him back to Hell."
