Chapter 1094: Chapter 385: His Idioms Have Always Been Fine

In this scene and with these lines, Wayne really wanted to say that Idinis had picked just the right time to show up.

Then to embrace a beauty in each arm, grinning like a true winner in life.

But sadly, winning was out of the question.

Sarosia was obedient and well-behaved, and as a self-proclaimed capitalist, Wayne felt embarrassed to take advantage of her, so he lumped her in with Ah Bin and Yuliya.

Idinis, on the other hand, was the complete opposite. At thousands of years old, she was certainly no pushover.

Too high-maintenance, Wayne was a bit intimidated by her.

Idinis fixed her gaze on Wayne with a smile full of meaning, then glanced at Sarosia and raised an eyebrow, "You actually gave the Divine Realm to her instead of keeping it as a refuge for yourself? Is this your plan for the future?"

"I don’t know what you’re talking about." Wayne shrugged nonchalantly and lightly skipped over the subject.

Idinis did not pursue it and instead sarcastically said to Sarosia, "You should hurry up and thank me. Without my guidance, you would not have come across such a great faith, let alone received the Divine Nation."

Sarosia frowned slightly, turned her head to the side, and mumbled a thank you.

She should be thanking me!

Idinis felt a burst of joy, yet not as much as she imagined. Delving into the reason, she found Sarosia’s naivety heartbreakingly inept, devoid of the satisfaction of proper guidance.

Idinis suspected this had something to do with Wayne’s Corruption, and she wasn’t any different. Unrestrained, her corrupted thoughts were almost squeezing into Wayne’s flesh.

She squinted her eyes with a cold smile, "Sarosia, at this point, I have to tell you the truth. Your master is not a divine being, and I did not have good intentions when I guided him to you. The Storms and Thunder God fell long ago during the faith wars!"

"Your master has been deceiving you all along. He lusts after your body, and everything he does is to trick you into bed!"

"Oh," Sarosia replied indifferently.

"Oh?"

"Meaning, you think I’m cheating you?" Idinis pursed her lips.

"Otherwise, do you think I would believe you?"

Sarosia looked down on her, knowing clearly who was kind and who was not.

Idinis may have had ulterior motives in guiding faith to her, but faith definitely had good intentions. Set died at faith’s hand; there was no doubt about it.

As for lusting after bodies, laughable. Aside from the beginning when she was disobedient, faith used this trick to scare her a couple of times, never mentioning it again, clearly a righteous faith who’s indifferent to the pleasures of the flesh.

Even if faith lusted after her body, she wasn’t opposed. Loyalty isn’t absolute unless it’s utterly absolute, and she was always ready.

She was self-aware, knowing she was staid and boring, and faith wouldn’t fancy her, so she didn’t bring shame upon herself.

Instead, it was Idinis who kept trying to seduce faith every day, clearly her who lusted after faith’s body.

Flirting shamelessly, despicable!

Distorting the truth, shameless!

Sarosia tagged Idinis with several labels one after another, removed her from the list of passersby, and added her to the blacklist of hostile parties.

"..."

Idinis helplessly shook her head, the fun was ruined, the source dry, no longer of any squeezing value.

"Idinis, what’s going on with your body? What happened to Vizi’s flesh? Did you destroy it?" Wayne saw through Idinis’ true face; at a glance, it was Vizi’s visage, but internally, a writhing pallor.

"Wayne, I’m so pitiful."

Idinis whimpered twice, lifting her sleeves to wipe away the pale tears, "At home, wicked slaves bully their master. First, it was Soskuna who wants to become a Subsidiary God, then Vizi, the Dark Knight. They not only betrayed me but also used violence against me..."

"Vizi forcibly took the body away. Had I not run fast, I wouldn’t have seen you again."

"And The Listener and The Avenger, those two little bitches, are also secretly plotting to overthrow the Divine Nation. If you don’t help me, I might become homeless."

Sarosia nodded silently; as far as she knew, the Dark Goddess was doing quite well, being one of the few deities that survived the wars of faith.

The Dark Goddess couldn’t suppress her subordinates and came to seek Wayne’s aid... it fit perfectly with the narrative that faith is invincible.

"So many people dislike you, tell me, where is their headquarters?" Wayne said with righteous indignation.

"In the Dark Divine Kingdom," Idinis whimpered.

"How outrageous, they started a rebellion and didn’t call me, don’t they know I’m a professional?"

"Wayne, I’m truly pitiable now... I can only rely on you..."

"Heh heh."

Wayne sneered, he would be crazy to believe any of Idinis’ lies. If he wasn’t wrong, The Listener and The Avenger had long been well trained.

As for Devourer Soskuna, daring to speak ill of the Goddess behind her back was clearly in the process of being trained, because he had a higher cost-performance ratio. When Soskuna lost his training value, he was reassigned as the chief of the transport team.

Wayne couldn’t fathom, Soskuna was a very promising Subsidiary God, successful enough to boost the market value of the Dark Divine Kingdom. Why would Idinis willingly sacrifice Soskuna?

Could it be that influenced by Sarosia, her intelligence declined, thinking he would be content to be a Devourer, slaving away in the Dark Divine Kingdom?

Clearly illogical.

Wayne was very clear that, given his level of life, his future would only go further and further. He would not work for anyone.

And Idinis knew that too.

To bring him to The Church, to meet with Devourer Soskuna, it wasn’t the goal to sacrifice a talent with the potential of a Subsidiary God. This was just the beginning.

Wayne did not express his doubts, knowing that even if he did ask, he wouldn’t get any answers.

"Wayne, don’t you have a lot of questions?"

"No."

"Ask away, and maybe as you ask, questions will arise."
