My Vampire Beloved Husband -
Chapter 145: Her Wish
Chapter 145: Her Wish
The next day, Naomi woke up with a slow yawn, stretching her arms over her head as a deep sense of relief washed over her. She felt unusually refreshed, as if she had been asleep for days. A soft hum of energy buzzed beneath her skin, making her wonder just how long she had actually slept.
Blinking away the lingering drowsiness, she reached for her phone on the bedside table and tapped the screen. Her eyes widened in shock. Evening?
She blinked again. Had she really been asleep for this long?
Panic stirred in her chest, but it quickly faded when she realized how light her body felt. It had been a while since she had rested so deeply—without stress.
As she slowly sat up, her gaze swept across the room, taking in the empty space. That’s when she noticed it—Zylan was gone.
Of course, he was. She must have been sleeping too deeply to notice when he left.
Her eyes then landed on the bedside table, where a neatly folded piece of paper rested. A note?
Frowning slightly, she reached for it and unfolded it with careful fingers.
"Whenyou’redonefresheningup, tapthebuttonnearthebed. I leftearlierbecauseyouweresleepingsohard.... and snoring."
Naomi’s cheeks flamed instantly. Snoring?
She pursed her lips, staring at the words in disbelief. Was he teasing her even in a note?
With a sigh, she continued reading.
"I’mofftoameeting. I’llbebackearly, so we’ll head home tonight."
A soft giggle escaped her lips before she folded the note and placed it back on the table. Zylan was impossible.
Finally getting out of bed, she stretched again, her muscles sighing in relief as she padded toward the bathroom.
The warm water from the shower cascaded over her skin, washing away the last traces of sleep. As the scent of her favorite soap filled the air, she took her time with her body care routine—massaging oils into her skin, carefully applying her skincare products, and brushing through her thick hair until it fell smoothly over her shoulders.
By the time she stepped out of the bathroom, she felt completely refreshed.
Slipping into a simple matching top and pants, she slid her feet into a pair of flip-flops. Her eyes flickered to the note again, reminding her of what she needed to do next.
Without hesitation, she walked over to the button near the bed and tapped it.
A short while later, a soft knock sounded at the door.
Naomi straightened slightly as she opened it, her curiosity piqued when she saw three attendants waiting outside.
The moment they stepped inside, they greeted her with polite bows.
"Good evening, Mrs. Naomi."
Mrs.?
Even now, after everything, it still felt strange excitement hearing someone call her that.
Naomi nodded in acknowledgment, watching as they entered the room in an organized fashion. Within seconds, they began setting up the table, carefully arranging a lavish spread of dishes before her.
Their movements were precise, almost rehearsed, and Naomi could tell that they had been trained for such things. She wasn’t surprised. Everything about Zylan’s world was meticulous.
As she settled down at the table, her gaze flickered over the food, noticing the abundance of fruits.
A small smile touched her lips.
This must be Zylan’s doing.
He knew how much she loved fresh fruit, and the fact that he had included them in her meal made something warm settle in her chest.
The attendants stood silently nearby, waiting patiently as she ate.
Naomi didn’t really mind. She was used to having people stand by while she dined—back at the mansion, it had been a normal occurrence.
As she finished, she wiped her lips with a napkin and reached for her water. Something told her that Zylan had more in store for her.
Her suspicion was confirmed when one of the attendants finally spoke.
"Mr. Zylan has instructed us to take you downstairs."
She didn’t bother asking for details. If Zylan had planned something, she would find out soon enough.
Taking a final sip of her water, she stood up and adjusted her clothes before nodding.
"Alright, let’s go."
The woman in front led her out of the room.
The view was breathtaking.
Tall glass windows reflected the city lights.
This place was stunning.
Her lips parted slightly as she took it all in. She hadn’t expected the outside to be this mesmerizing.
The woman leading her stepped toward an elevator, and Naomi followed, her footsteps light against the polished marble floor.
As soon as they entered, the doors slid shut with a soft chime.
A faint hum filled Naomi’s ears as the elevator began to ascend.
Her fingers curled at her sides.
Her heart pounded.
She knew very well what tonight meant—Zylan was finally going to show her his room.
A space that was undoubtedly personal to him. A space she never thought she would be allowed to step into.
Was she ready for that?
Yes, she was.
She exhaled slowly, trying to steady herself.
A comfortable silence settled over the space until the soft ping of the elevator snapped her back to reality.
The doors slid open, revealing the hallway.
"This way, Miss Naomi," the woman instructed.
Naomi nodded and stepped forward.
The moment she did, a cool breeze swept through the corridor, lifting the strands of her hair slightly. She inhaled deeply, the fresh air feeling invigorating against her skin.
She hadn’t realized just how much she needed that long rest. No matter how surprising it had been, she was grateful for it.
A few moments later, a sleek black car pulled up in front of her.
The chauffeur stepped out instantly, swiftly opening the door.
Naomi slid in without hesitation—only to find Zylan waiting inside.
He sat with an easy smile, his tablet resting on his lap.
Before he could even greet her, Naomi leaned in and hugged him tightly.
"I missed you so, so much, Hubby," she murmured, pressing her face into his shoulder.
Zylan let out a low chuckle as she placed a soft kiss on his cheek before settling back into her seat.
"Someone looks very excited today," he teased.
Naomi beamed. "Of course, I am! Why wouldn’t I be? My husband is finally going to show me his room tonight."
Zylan’s smile didn’t falter, but there was something unreadable in his gaze. He went quiet for a moment before tilting his head slightly.
Then, with a slow, sly smirk, he finally spoke.
"It seems I won’t always be around to keep you company... which is why we need more company. One, two, or maybe even four."
Naomi blinked.
She stared at him, processing his words.
Zylan leaned in slightly, his voice lowering. "I hope you got enough rest because tonight... we’re going to be making lots and lots of babies."
Naomi’s breath caught in her throat.
Her heart slammed against her ribs.
A beat of silence passed—then, without hesitation, she grabbed his collar and pulled him into a quick, heated kiss.
She hovered close, her lips brushing against his as she whispered, "Yes, my love. We’re going to make lots and lots of them."
’She was really getting shamelss’
Zylan’s smirk deepened.
Before Naomi could say anything else, the car rolled to a stop.
The driver turned to them.
"We’ll be using the helicopter," Zylan announced smoothly.
Naomi glanced at him in surprise just as he added, "It’ll be arriving in a few seconds."
As if on cue, the rhythmic whirr of blades filled the air.
Naomi turned toward the sound, her pulse quickening.
The helicopter landed smoothly in front of them.
Zylan stepped out first, then turned back and extended his hand toward her.
Naomi took it without hesitation, allowing him to guide her toward the aircraft.
Inside, he helped her fasten her seatbelt before securing his own.
The pilot gave them a respectful nod, signaling that they were ready for takeoff.
Zylan returned the gesture.
And then—the helicopter lifted.
Naomi’s breath hitched as she gazed out at the breathtaking scenery below.
Her lips parted in awe.
Zylan watched her reaction, his lips curving into a soft smile.
"Wifey, do you like what you see?"
Naomi turned to him, her eyes shining. "I love it."
The sun had already begun to set, casting a golden glow over the landscape. Everything looked more magnificent than ever—almost surreal. From up here, the world below stretched endlessly, bathed in the warm hues of twilight.
Who knew a helicopter ride could be this exhilarating? Not her. Definitely not her.
Soon, it was time to land. The helicopter descended smoothly, gliding down with quiet precision before coming to a gentle stop. From what Naomi could tell, this was part of the mansion grounds—an area large enough to accommodate multiple helicopters.
Zylan stepped out first, then reached up to help Naomi down. The pilot bowed respectfully, and both Zylan and Naomi acknowledged him with a nod.
As she held onto Zylan’s hand, Naomi felt her heart begin to pound. She knew full well that stepping onto this estate meant one thing—she was finally going to see something she never thought she’d be allowed to.
His room.
She stopped suddenly, looking up at him. "Zylan, can we see the Eaglet first?"
Zylan studied her for a moment before nodding. "Yes, my wife. Whatever you wish."
