Chapter 92: Penglai
Chapter 92: Chapter 92: Penglai
After a while, Wang Zijia had become accustomed to and mastered these five ghosts. As a first attempt, even with an incomplete Magic Door, Wang Zijia was pretty satisfied with his achievements.
With a thought, the five ghost shadows beside him fused into a somewhat solid figure.
Then, the ghostly figure transformed into a puff of black smoke and entered Wang Zijia’s chest.
When he pulled open his collar to look, a pitch-black ghost face tattoo had appeared on his left chest. Feeling the cold chill on his chest, Wang Zijia nodded in satisfaction.
’It’s a trump card for now, and when the opportunity arises, I’ll find a way to switch to five real ghosts. For now, these five puppets can be used as a medium for casting spells.’
Having made up his mind, Wang Zijia began to clean up the basement.
Even though he had not committed any sins, this method was indeed very sinister, and Wang Zijia did not intend to reveal it.
After a long time, Wang Zijia had finished tidying up everything and regained his normal state. Only then did he open the basement and step into the courtyard.
By now, the skies had darkened. The quiet and tranquil Biyi Court was bathed in the glow of stars and moonlight.
Wang Zijia checked the time, he had started preparing around 8 PM and it was already after midnight. It had taken a considerable amount of time.
Instead of going straight to bed, his Mind slightly stirred, taking him into the Chaotic Space of the Sea of Knowledge.
Golden Balance stood at the very center of the space, surrounded by chaos.
Wang Zijia took a deep breath. With a change in his mind, an illusionary body appeared, out of which faint black smoke spread, resembling ghost figures.
As the black mist touched the chaos, the chaos mist started to change. Slowly, an extraordinarily realistic bird appeared in front of Wang Zijia.
"Could it really affect this place?"
Wang Zijia looked at the bird shaped by magical power through the medium of the Magic Door’s power with joy on his face.
He was previously not conscious of any power; therefore, his influence over the Chaotic Sea of Knowledge was extremely limited. He originally thought that he would have to wait until he built the Dao Foundation to have any consequential influence.
Having gained the Five Ghosts Divine Power ahead of time allowed his consciousness to transcend the ordinary and thus affect this place.
Beyond that, the Spiritual Power Shaping which appeared like a charade in reality could create a complete change in this location, or more accurately, in this Chaotic Sea of Knowledge, any power seemed to become extremely exaggerated.
"In that case, let’s see what can be achieved!"
Wang Zijia looked at the bird, which seemed more real than any other bird in the outside world. The joy on his face was mixed with a sense of wonder. His mind spun, and a faint black mist emanated from his body, engulfing a vast area in the middle of the Chaotic Space.
In an instant, the area shrouded in black fog underwent a drastic change.
First, an endless sea emerged, followed by an island in the middle of it.
On the island, the Spiritual Wood was lush, Immortal flowers, and Spirit Medicines were everywhere. Immortal Light surged in the babbling Spirit Spring.
In the hazy mist around the Spirit Mountain, Immortal cranes were whistling and dancing amidst the rising clouds, giving off an atmosphere of an immortal family.
In a corner of the island, there was a lofty mountain peak. At the peak, where the mist was swirling around, was a pavilion exuding a classical charm. In front of the pavilion door, there stood a huge stone monument.
Two simple, vigorous characters were inscribed on the monument.
Penglai!
A plaque hung in front of the pavilion door with the words ’Penglai Fairy Palace’ inscribed on it.
After a while, when everything had settled down, Wang Zijia floated down, landing in front of the Penglai Fairy Palace with a look of surprise on his face.
He reached out to touch the stele, and it felt incredibly real, almost indistinguishable from the genuine article.
Looking at the large stone stele, Wang Zijia frowned, feeling that something seemed to be missing. With a shift of his mind, some words emerged on a corner of the large stele.
Entered Penglai, the mortal’s form did change,
Shedding mundane fetter, the rest of life to ascend the Immortal way.
Gazing at the transformed stele, Wang Zijia was finally satisfied.
Next, Wang Zijia scrutinized the surroundings for a long time, adding various details. If he didn’t know that he was in the Chaotic Sea of Consciousness, he would have thought that he had traveled to another island.
He looked up at the sky, where the Balanced Scale was emanating dazzling golden light, much like the sun of this world.
Satisfied, Wang Zijia entered the pavilion. As he stepped in, the vacant hall on the first floor began to change rapidly. Tables and chairs surfaced continuously, and in a moment the place became abundant.
In the blink of an eye, the hall transformed into a classical trading hall full of ancient charm.
The most captivating element in the hall was a colossal cabinet, occupying nearly half the space of the hall, it was reminiscent of an ancient pharmacy’s medicine cabinet.
The cabinet was so tall that its height couldn’t be discerned by merely glancing upwards.
The cabinet was filled with densely arranged drawers, each one shimmering with astonishing spiritual light.
At all times, the entire cabinet was emanating a sense of being ancient, vicissitudinous, and dignified.
It was as if it had experienced numerous temporal baptisms, had gone through unknown eras, and had traversed from distant times.
In stark contrast to the towering cabinet was the small counter, similar to a reading table, set in the center of the hall, in front of the cabinet.
One table, one chair, neither luxurious nor imposing, was supremely ordinary.
All of this happened in an instant, as soon as Wang Zijia stepped into the hall, the transformation was complete, as if things had always been this way.
Standing in the hall, Wang Zijia looked at the massive ’medicine cabinet’, then started to decorate and carve every single drawer-anew.
Sometimes he made it obscure, sometimes dazzling, constantly perfecting the intricate details.

Unbeknownst to him, the night passed like this.
Only when the day dawned did Wang Zijia stop his engraving work on the Penglai Fairy Palace, or to say, the main hall of Penglai.
As per usual, he got up, freshened up, practiced boxing with Bai Qian, chatted and ate with Xiang Feifei.
After a while, after breakfast, Xiang Feifei went to Fu Tower to work.
Wang Zijia didn’t leave for work until noon, instead, he took out his identity card, and opened the materials that Xiang Feifei had provided for him.
In the span of twenty days, he had initially screened these materials. If he hadn’t been preparing the Five Ghosts, he would have already begun.
He had anticipated and prepared for this step for several months before joining the Sect!
Now that the Five Ghosts were ready, Wang Zijia no longer hesitated, and as the Paper Kite spread its wings, he set forth in a certain direction.
······
The Qifu Faction Complex, the South District was a Commercial Street, inhabited not only by disciples of the Sect but also numerous other large Sects’ merchants.
The East District was a working area where a significant portion of the Faction’s official buildings was located. In other words, it was the ’Government’ district of the Qifu Faction.
The West District was a ’residential area’, where the majority of the disciples of the Faction, especially the miscellaneous disciples, lived.
The North District had no clear positioning; it was mostly occupied by various small clans within the Faction. Many of them were remnants of the Qifu Faction’s early years, left over from when they encouraged small clans to build and develop within the Faction.
They had the nature of private territories and estates, such as the Xiang family, whom Wang Zijia relied on, was one of them.
