Chapter 317: Chapter 279: Mythical Awakening! (Seeking Monthly Pass)

Citina truly lived up to her gold legend!

Whether it was her Awakened Ability or talent, both were rare and powerful, all created for battle.

Reading the description alone did not convey a tangible sensation, but upon comparing the two-dimensional stats, Mentor Fang found that he, a standout among the Six Senses, who self-proclaimed to far exceed his peers in super strength, was physically... far less impressive than Citina!

Even the sum of his two-dimensional stats was inferior to hers.

This was the formidable boost that Citina received from her "Warrior’s Talent," and despite Mentor Fang’s day and night training, his arduous cultivation, and experiencing several perfect Awakenings, he still couldn’t match up to her cheats.

Oh, Citina had been cultivating for over a decade.

Oh, she was also one of the kindred spirits of the lineage.

Then it was no problem.

What heated up Mentor Fang the most was not Citina’s potential, talent, or combat power, but her Awakening level, her Mysterious Accumulation!

Nineteen million Mysterious Accumulation!

One could imagine, to utilize her talent, Citina must have been constantly battling, constantly going out to fight the Mysterious Evil and hence accumulated countless mysteries.

And so much mystery meant...

A "!" mark appeared.

"However, Citina’s current condition is still very poor and she is in a dangerous environment. To awaken, at least I need to ensure the surroundings are secure,"

He frowned.

e considered descending beside Citina through possession of Little Illusion and guarding her.

However, perhaps because Blue Star was too far from Citina’s location, Little Illusion couldn’t find an anchor point, unable to travel to Citina’s position.

The only support he could provide her was to send some items and equipment.

Just these were not enough.

Fang You furrowed his brows, deep in thought, when suddenly his eyes lit up.

’Hint: "Blank clue x 3" consumed, guidance obtained: ...’

...

...

Ghastly Realm, an unknown territory.

Citina’s eyes widened as her "wu wu wu" came to an abrupt stop.

She licked her lips, "Was it potion?"

"Did I just drink a few potions?"

The empty bottles left on the scene confirmed that what just happened was not a hallucination—it was real!

Which meant the voice in her head was real, too.

’You have been chosen by destiny, Citina!’

’Ding!’

’Click to view the gifts of fate and the responsibilities fate carries.’

She paused.

In the Ghastly Realm, there was no shortage of strange things. A small light screen appearing in her mind wasn’t too alarming, and after confirming it was not an illusion, Citina immediately accepted the fact that she had been chosen by destiny.

There was no point in not accepting. Whether it was a special chance or an attempt by some hidden existence, she no longer had a choice.

At the very least, that existence saved her and allowed her to survive a life-and-death crisis.

But she hadn’t completely gotten through it yet.

Her condition had somewhat improved and her mind was less chaotic. Only then did Citina have the thought to thoroughly consider her current situation.

She surveyed her surroundings. The Dark River and the light red mist phenomena were no longer visible. Below the surrounding grey fog were full views of broken buildings, extremely dilapidated, barely a trace of their original appearance remaining, with just a touch of historical vicissitude.

She frowned.

"This place..."

Citina didn’t recognize it, it wasn’t on the maps of North Wind Island. She might have been carried far by the chaotic currents, and such situations were not uncommon in the Ghastly Realm.

Exploration in the Ghastly Realm was fraught with the possibility of getting lost, and once lost, it was nearly impossible to find the way back.

For a human Awakener, getting lost was akin to a slow death. Even throne-level powerhouses couldn’t last long without supplies and the ability to rest.

As for herself,

Citina looked at the lantern in her hand, its light gradually growing dim. Upon closer inspection, one could see cracks on the lantern—damage taken from the battle, its structure compromised, and the lantern on the verge of breaking.

In the Ghastly Realm, once the lantern broke, it wouldn’t be long before she was torn apart by the incessant wave of Mysterious Evil.

What should she do?

Citina’s brows furrowed tighter.

Suddenly, her eyes widened again.

Specks of light gathered, outlining various lines, which gradually sketched a somewhat familiar silhouette, turning from illusion to reality.

A cool sensation appeared in her hands.

This time, with her senses clear, Citina witnessed the full process of the lantern materializing in her hand.

"This is... a divine miracle!"

She murmured.

The divine miracle did not end there. After the ’Lantern of Illumination’ appeared, another set of silver-white Strange Implement armor took shape, similar in design to the one she was wearing.

She paused again, hesitating. Then as if making a resolution, Citina knelt abruptly.

Her forehead touched the ground.

She got up quickly and slew a few of the approaching Mysterious Evil with her sword.

Then, she ignited the new lantern and took shelter in a somewhat intact pile of building rubble, scanning her surroundings and seeing it was momentarily safe. Citina tore off the nearly shattered armor from her body, exposing wounds and dark spots.

But the flesh around the wounds had stopped writhing, and those dark spots had quieted down, no longer mutating.

Citina donned the silver-white armor, wiped the blood from her face, and, holding the lantern and heavy sword, continued her somewhat aimless journey.

She didn’t know where she was, nor where she should go.

But soon, an arrow appeared in her mind.

An arrow pointing somewhere, with a distance number above it—28.3 North Wind Miles.
