My Princess and Crown Prince Are Revived -
Chapter 303 Counterattack
Chapter 303: Chapter 303 Counterattack
"Princess No. 7, did you also deceive His Majesty with this method?"
Lun Chengran clenched his fists, he looked up, gazing at Nan Leqin with a desolate expression.
Upon hearing his words, Nan Leqin chuckled again.
"I never knew before that Father Emperor could be so foolish. Initially, my mother told me that Father Emperor cannot stand firmness but has a soft spot for pitiful acts. If I acted pitifully, I could certainly arouse his sympathy. I tried it, and indeed it was so..."
"Father Emperor used to love Nan Baihan so much, but after I humbled myself, wasn’t I still able to successfully drive a wedge in their relationship? Nan Baihan is also foolish, the more headstrong she is, the more Father Emperor pities me."
"So, your suicide was also an act?" Lun Chengran pressed.
"Suicide? Although I have lost my reputation, I am still a person of nobility. And with that bitch Nan Baihan still alive, how could I possibly die? Suicide was merely a means to gain Father Emperor’s pity..."
Nan Leqin spoke with a smug tone.
"What I regret most now is how domineering I was before. If I had humbled myself to Father Emperor earlier, he would have grown tired of Nan Baihan and Nan Li long ago."
"Yes, His Majesty and I are both fools, both deceived by you," Lun Chengran said, his voice filled with sorrow.
"Enough, I have shown immense mercy by deigning to speak with someone as lowly as you for so long. I trust you will die without regrets. Someone, give him a quick death."
Nan Leqin commanded her guard.
The guard immediately approached Lun Chengran with a sword in hand.
"Princess No. 7, please don’t trouble yourself. At least I have loved you once, it’s what I deserve, I should die."
Lun Chengran said self-mockingly.
As his voice fell, he took out a dagger and plunged it into his heart.
In an instant, blood flowed down, and he began to fall to the ground.
Seeing him die before her, Nan Leqin’s face showed not a trace of emotion, only a look of disgust emerged.
"It’s good that he knew his place and committed suicide. Throw him into the water later to feed the fish," she ordered resentfully.
"Yes, Princess No. 7."
"Next, it’s time to deal with that bitch Chu Baihan."
Turning her head, the smile on Nan Leqin’s face was twisted beyond measure.
But at that moment, a familiar voice came from the side: "Seventh Imperial Sister, how can we miss out on dealing with Imperial Sister?"
What?
Hearing this voice, Nan Leqin quickly turned around.
To her surprise, she saw Nan Leshi, Kong Cheng, and Uncle Emperor Nan Xu appear with several attendants.
"You were tracking me?"
Nan Leqin’s mind was racing, and she quickly guessed something.
Nan Leshi giggled behind her hand: "Seventh Imperial Sister, why get so angry? We weren’t tracking you, we were worried about you, so we came to protect you."
"Hmph, Fifth Imperial Sister, as if I don’t know what you’re really thinking. Nan Baihan was caught by me, and only I can kill her."
A surge of venomous hatred flashed in Nan Leqin’s eyes as she said sharply.
"Leqin, I know you hate Nan Baihan, but I need her for some matters. Once I’m done, her life will naturally fall into your hands," Nan Xu spoke, standing with his hands behind his back, his tone forceful.
But at that moment, Nan Leqin’s mind was solely focused on how to kill Chu Baihan; she was not in the mood to consider anything else.
Thus, she sharply refused: "No need for trouble, Uncle Emperor Nan Xu, I shall kill Nan Baihan right now."
"Do you think I was asking for your opinion?" Nan Xu’s face darkened instantly.
Nan Leqin’s heart skipped a beat, and she asked in a strange tone, "Uncle Emperor Nan Xu, are you trying to compete with me over her?"
"Nan Baihan still has many Commander’s Seals in her possession, and she knows many of your Father Emperor’s secrets. If she were to give all that to me, it would be exceedingly beneficial," said Nan Xu profoundly.
"Uncle Nan Xu, what good does all this do for me?"
By now, Nan Leqin had grown quite shrewd. She stared at Nan Xu and then retorted.
"Don’t you hate your father, the emperor? If I, as the prince, gain more military power and pull him down from his throne, but then preserve your status as Princess and find you a good marriage, would that be agreeable?"
Nan Xu tempted her with patience and persuasion.
"Uncle Nan Xu, you mean to say, you want me to conspire with you against my father, the emperor?"
A glint of sharpness flashed in Nan Leqin’s eyes as she spoke up in response.
"Exactly. Haven’t you longed for your father’s death? He’s so biased, never treating you as his own children. But I am different; no matter what, you are my nieces. Once I take the throne, I will surely not treat you unfairly."
Nan Xu continued to tempt her with patience and persuasion.
"Seventh sister, Uncle Nan Xu is right. Although our father, the emperor, shows you some favor now, how can that make up for all the grievances we’ve suffered over the years?" Nan Leshi joined in the persuasion at that moment.
After a long silence, Nan Leqin seemed to be swayed.
She nodded her head, "I can agree to Uncle Nan Xu taking that wretch away. But before she’s taken, I want to torment her to death. Guards, break her limbs for me first."
Hearing Nan Leqin’s words, neither Nan Xu nor Nan Leshi tried to stop her.
As long as she did not die, they let Nan Leqin torment her however she wished.
After all, after fighting with Chu Baihan for so many years, their hatred for her was deep-seated.
If they could make her suffer tremendously, it was something they eagerly desired.
The guard found the keys on Lun Chengran, then swiftly flew over and opened the cage.
They grabbed Chu Baihan by the shoulders, intending to drag her out and break her limbs.
But just as they were about to strike, Chu Baihan, who was still unconscious, suddenly opened her eyes.
She grabbed one of the guards by the wrist, then, with her feet in mid-air, fiercely kicked the other two guards.
With a few "plonk" sounds, they were all kicked into the water by Chu Baihan.
"You’re all right?"
Nan Leqin stared at Chu Baihan and called out sharply.
Chu Baihan pursed her lips, staying silent.
Nan Xu’s expression darkened.
"Heh, you think you can escape today?" he sneered.
Then he gave a look to the guards by his side, and they immediately prepared to take action.
"Your hand is injured; how will you handle so many people?"
"Who said my hand was injured?" Chu Baihan leisurely questioned back.
As she spoke, she rubbed her wrists.
What?
Her hand was fine?
A grave light flashed through the eyes of Nan Xu and the rest.
They had clearly seen her hand wrapped up today, looking quite serious.
"Besides, you have many people, but we... aren’t lacking in numbers either."
Chu Baihan continued meaningfully.
As her words fell, suddenly a large number of people emerged from the entrance of the cave.
The ones leading them were...
Nan Shi, Nan Li, Yan Lin.
"Father, Your Majesty, what brings you here?" Nan Leqin’s heart sank to the bottom of the valley.
