My Princess and Crown Prince Are Revived
Chapter 178 Everything is a Dream

Chapter 178: Chapter 178 Everything is a Dream

"Ruolan, has your brain gone muddled or has it been mine all along? We are in Yan Country’s Jiangnan," the Princess said.

Chu Baihan shook her head, her expression very serious.

But Ruolan was equally earnest, "Princess, you must be delirious from the fever. This servant will go and fetch the Imperial Physician for you."

Having said that, Ruolan turned and ran off.

Chu Baihan wanted to ask her something else but it was too late.

Watching Ruolan’s retreating figure, Chu Baihan fell silent for a moment before quickly rising and following her out.

"Princess, you’re awake," a palace maid by her side said hurriedly, bowing in greeting.

Chu Baihan recognized them.

"Shi Yu, Shi Xue?" she tentatively called out.

"Yes, Princess," responded Shi Yu and Shi Xue. The twin sisters had been serving Chu Baihan for roughly three years, and this was the first time they had seen her with such an expression, so they quickly answered.

"This place really is my Princess Residence," Chu Baihan murmured softly to herself.

Looking up, she saw the spacious courtyard, and not far away there was a swing, which had been built for her by her imperial brother.

Everything here was so familiar because this was indeed her Princess Residence.

When she returned to the Nanduan Royal Family six years ago, she initially lived in the Imperial Palace, but her father’s favoritism toward her bred jealousy among the women of the palace, who often made trouble for her.

Seeing how she detested the Imperial Palace, the Emperor then ordered the construction of a Princess Residence for her outside the palace.

"So, have I come back?" she murmured softly again.

"What’s the date now?" she quickly turned to ask Shi Yu.

"Reporting to the Princess, today is the first day of August, and the Mid-Autumn banquet is just a few days away," replied Shi Yu promptly.

"The first day of August? How can this be?" Chu Baihan’s expression changed abruptly.

She remembered that she was still in Jiangnan of Yan Country in early July.

What happened with that great fire?

She tried hard to recall, but her head ached tremendously.

"Princess, Princess, are you alright?" Shi Yu and Shi Xue, seeing her in such pain, were worried and anxious, hurrying to support her.

"Princess, the Imperial Physician has arrived. Thankfully, the Crown Prince knew you haven’t recovered from your chill, so he had Physician Xiao stay at the Princess Residence," Ruolan said as she quickly brought Physician Xiao in.

"Princess, please take care of your health," Physician Xiao said worriedly upon seeing Chu Baihan in such pain.

"I’m all right, Physician Xiao, you need not worry," Chu Baihan shook her head.

"However, I do have some questions for you, come with me," she continued with a serious tone.

She couldn’t find out anything from Ruolan, so she decided to start with Physician Xiao.

Physician Xiao was her imperial brother’s man and could be trusted.

"As you command," replied Physician Xiao, nodding before he followed Chu Baihan aside.

"Physician Xiao, since when have you been treating me?" she asked in a calm voice.

"Well... it’s been over a month," Physician Xiao sighed.

"Over a month? Absurd, I was in Yan Country just a month ago," Chu Baihan’s face grew much more solemn.

Upon hearing her words, Physician Xiao looked troubled, eventually shaking his head repeatedly, "Alas, it happened as I feared. Last month, you accompanied the Emperor on an excursion and a group of assassins attacked. During the struggle, you fell into a lake, and ever since then you’ve had a persistent fever and have been delirious, diagnosed with hysteria. Throughout this past month, despite administering medicine several times, every time you’ve awoken, you’ve said some odd things, as if you were in a dream."

"Hysteria? You’re saying I have hysteria?" Chu Baihan’s tone turned colder.

She wanted to use the events that happened in Yan Country to refute him, but recalling them only resulted in a sharp pain in her head.

"Oh, Princess, please don’t overexert yourself. When you fell into the lake, you injured your head; you really cannot afford to overthink things," Physician Xiao said with concern.

"Summon someone to help the princess change her clothes. I must visit the Imperial Palace and see His Majesty," Chu Baihan said in a cold voice.

She refused to believe such nonsense.

The experiences of the past month had been so vivid, yet they insisted it was all but a dream.

Upon returning to her room, Ruolan prepared to help Chu Baihan change, but Chu Baihan asked sternly, "Ruolan, may I see the wound on your shoulder?"

In Yan Country, Jiangnan, Ruolan had injured her shoulder.

If there were a scar, it would mean everything that happened was not a dream.

Hearing Chu Baihan’s request, Ruolan wore a strange expression.

"Princess, why would this servant have a wound on her shoulder?"

As she spoke, she slipped off her garment, letting it fall to her arms.

Chu Baihan looked and found it to be smooth and unscarred.

"How can this be... It shouldn’t be like this..."

Chu Baihan murmured softly, her tone full of disbelief.

"Princess, this servant hasn’t been injured recently. Did you dream of me getting hurt? Didn’t Imperial Physician Xiao say that you would be fine once you woke up? Why can’t you distinguish between dreams and reality?"

Ruolan’s eyes reddened slightly, deeply concerned for Chu Baihan’s condition.

Could it be...

This was really just a dream?

But how could there be such a vivid dream in this world?

Chu Baihan coughed forcefully a few times, as if from agitated heart.

Her strength seemed to be drained all at once, leaving her extremely weak.

"Princess, Princess, how are you? I will call for Imperial Physician Xiao right away," Ruolan said frantically, turning to summon help.

But Chu Baihan stopped her.

"There’s no need. I’m fine. Just help me dress, I must visit the Emperor," she said.

Perhaps upon seeing the Emperor, everything would become clear.

But when she stepped out the door, she saw the Emperor arriving with Xixi.

"Mother, you’re awake. Are you feeling better?"

Little Tuanzi’s eyes brightened when he saw her, and he quickly ran over with his short little legs.

"I’m fine. Xixi, have you been hurt?" Chu Baihan quickly began to check on Little Tuanzi.

"Mother, Xixi is just fine, how could anything be wrong?"

Little Baozi replied with a sweet smile and a serious response.

"Xixi, the events in Yan Country, Jiangnan..."

"Eh? What about Yan Country, Jiangnan? Mother, are you missing the place you used to live and want to go back?"

Little Tuanzi blinked and asked innocently.

His reaction shocked Chu Baihan.

"Xixi, don’t tell me you’ve forgotten about Jingjing. She’s your sister, and so is your father," Chu Baihan asked anxiously.

"Sister? Mother, aren’t I your only child? Where would I have a sister from? And as for father, I don’t need one. Hmph, just having mother is enough for me," Little Tuanzi asserted defiantly.

"No, this isn’t right..." Chu Baihan quickly shook her head.

How could Xixi have also forgotten what happened in Jiangnan?

"Father, has Yan Country, Jiangnan suffered a calamity? Father, you agreed a month ago to let me go to Yan Country to seek the Snow Ganoderma," Chu Baihan looked up, her voice tinged with panic as she questioned the man before her.
