Chapter 496: Chapter 496 You’re Pretty Open-Minded
For Wen Ran, the happiest thing today was hearing Fu Chenlie personally explain the real reason he looked for Jiang Wan Ning for two years.
He didn’t seem to care as much about Jiang Wan Ning as she thought.
Ten minutes later, the car stopped at Huan Island Villa.
Wen Ran got out of the car, and when the man walked over, she took his arm and walked towards the house.
Once they were in the living room, she turned her head to look at him and asked, "Do you have to work overtime tonight?"
Fu Chenlie asked back instead of answering, "Why?"
"If you don’t work overtime, we can go to bed early."
"What does Madam want to do?"
She tiptoed, her red lips stopping by his ear, a smile curving at her mouth, and whispered in a voice only the two of them could hear, "I want to do something we can only do together."
The man’s eyes flickered with a hint of light, his surprise more delightful than hearing the Fu Group’s stock price had skyrocketed.
He unhesitatingly tugged at her arm, pulling her in front of him, "What did you say?"
Her face slightly flushed, with a trace of coquettishness, "Didn’t you hear it?"
"Did Mrs. Fu really say that?"
"Who else would have said it?"
Fu Chenlie chuckled softly, "I couldn’t tell, you’re quite open-minded?"
Wen Ran looked up at him, "Don’t you like it?"
"I like it, my auditory system has been activated, my brain intensely stimulated."
"Isn’t that fine then?"
Seeing her smug expression, the man leaned in to her ear, his voice carrying a slight threat, "Mrs. Fu, you’d better surprise me tonight, or else, you won’t get away with it."
She instantly chickened out, her smile vanishing as she pushed him away with a sheepish grin, "I was joking, don’t take it seriously."
The man curved his lips, "Too late."
Wen Ran was about to say something when Aunt Wu came out of the dining room, "Sir, Madam, dinner is ready."
Fu Chenlie wrapped his arm around her waist, "Let’s go, let’s have dinner."
...
Perhaps it was due to the good mood or something, but during dinner, Wen Ran accidentally ate too much.
As she put down her utensils, she held her stomach, looking at the man sitting across from her, "Honey, I’m stuffed. If you’re not working overtime, will you accompany me for a walk to digest later?"
"Shall we go now?"
"Sure!"
With that, she got up from the dining chair.
Fu Chenlie stood up as well.
The two went out for a walk together.
It wasn’t very lively outside the Huan Island Villa at night, but fortunately, the street lamps were bright.
They walked side by side, their shadows stretched long.
Wen Ran’s hand was held by the man’s, the warm touch making her feel very reassured.
Fu Chenlie wasn’t much of a talker. During their walk, he was mostly silent as well, but even so, Wen Ran didn’t feel the least bit awkward.
She didn’t know how long they had been walking when she saw a milk tea shop by the roadside and stopped.
The man tilted his head to look at her, "What’s wrong?"
She smiled and pointed, "There’s a milk tea shop there. I want to have Mango Pomelo Sago, shall we go buy some?"
"Weren’t we supposed to be walking to digest because you were too full from dinner? Wouldn’t drinking something make you feel uncomfortable?"
"We’ve walked a bit now, my stomach’s not uncomfortable anymore, I’m thirsty."
Fu Chenlie looked at her, recalling the topic they discussed before dinner, curved his lips, and smiled, "Having something to drink now would be good."
"What do you mean?"
"Nothing, shall we go get Mango Pomelo Sago now?"
Wen Ran nodded vigorously, "Yes, yes!"
At the moment, she only thought about having Mango Pomelo Sago, without giving much thought to the meaning behind his words, nor did she ponder over the man’s sudden smile.
It wasn’t until they got home and entered the bedroom...
