Fu Chenlie furrowed his brows.

He didn’t know how to respond to such words.

Silence returned to the car as the man increased the speed.

After about twenty minutes, the car stopped in the hospital parking lot.

Fu Chenlie unbuckled his seatbelt and got out of the car.

After getting out, noticing no movement behind him, he walked over to help Jiang Wan Ning open the car door and said, "Let’s go, to get checked."

She nodded and got out of the car.

During the hospital check-up, Fu Chenlie helped Jiang Wan Ning with her bag and clothes, always staying close to her, assisting her in whatever she needed with gentlemanly manners.

The check-up involved numerous procedures, and they ran between several floors for quite a while before finally finishing.

After the check-up, Fu Chenlie drove Jiang Wan Ning back to the company.

They arrived at the company’s underground parking lot around ten-thirty and headed to the elevator together.

Fu Chenlie pressed the executive elevator.

Jiang Wan Ning didn’t test anymore and opted to use the employee elevator.

However, as fate would have it, just as she touched the elevator button, a "ding" sounded, followed by the elevator doors slowly opening.

The executive elevator also opened.

As Fu Chenlie was about to step in, he heard Jiang Wan Ning call out, "Ms. Wen?"

He turned his head to the side and saw Wen Ran. The man’s previously detached eyes instantly softened, "Going to the factory now?"

She nodded, her face brimming with a gentle smile, "The factory driver just went to the airport to pick up a client. We’ll leave now and should arrive at the same time as the client."

Ignoring Jiang Wan Ning and Yao Jie’s presence, Fu Chenlie affectionately ruffled her hair, "Alright, good luck."

"Sure, shall I go now?"

"Mm."

She glanced at Jiang Wan Ning, said nothing, and left with Yao Jie.

Fu Chenlie also entered the elevator.

Jiang Wan Ning watched the elevator doors slowly close, her face gradually turning grim.

Even when she was Fu Chenlie’s girlfriend, he had never looked at her with the same gaze he used with Wen Ran today. She didn’t understand, what was so special about Wen Ran?!
