Chapter 441: Chapter 441 Destroyed

Wen Ran stood still.

Fu Chenlie glanced at Jiang Wan Ning but said nothing.

However, he pulled Wen Ran into the elevator.

Jiang Wan Ning followed them up without hesitation and with great swagger.

Seeing her come up, Wen Ran’s displeasure began to bubble up, even thinking—

Could it be that what he said yesterday was just to placate her?

As her heart sank, the man’s voice rang out: "Wan Ning, give me your elevator sensing key."

Wen Ran’s eyes instantly brightened.

Inside, she started to feel a little pleased, but she remained calm and showed no sign of excitement.

Jiang Wan Ning was stunned for a moment: "Ah Lie, what do you mean?"

He replied blankly, "You are the project department manager, always taking this elevator gives a bad impression, and it easily stirs up gossip. Now that I’m married, for the sake of both your reputation and other reasons, it’s not appropriate for you to continue enjoying the privilege of using this elevator."

She scoffed, "You really made it sound nice, didn’t you?"

After speaking, Jiang Wan Ning glanced at Wen Ran.

Wen Ran fearlessly met her gaze: "Ms. Wan Ning, why are you looking at me?"

"You’re the one who told Ah Lie to take away my key."

"No."

Jiang Wan Ning countered, "If not you, then who? You were unhappy seeing me also take this elevator yesterday and whispered in Ah Lie’s ear, didn’t you?"

Wen Ran deliberately held Fu Chenlie’s arm in front of her, calmly saying, "I did sulk a bit with my husband yesterday, but taking back the sensing key was his decision. You’ve known my husband long enough to know that no one can sway his will unless he wants to."

With those words, Jiang Wan Ning had no rebuttal.

Fu Chenlie extended his hand towards her, his gaze piercing.

Jiang Wan Ning tightened her grip on the key.

A few seconds later, she still handed over the sensing key.

Her hand hovered above Fu Chenlie’s palm, eyes fixed on the sensing key, her gaze filled with emotion as she remarked: "Ah Lie, do you remember what you said when you gave me this sensing key?"

"I don’t remember." He replied expressionlessly.

Jiang Wan Ning’s face stiffened, and she forced herself to speak: "You said that I was the only one in the company with this privilege. Back then, your eyes were full of me, but now, two years later, you’re actually asking me to return this sensing key. It truly is a case of things changing with time."

The man’s face remained impassive: "Are you done talking? If you are, then just put the key down."

Her eyelashes trembled, her hand loosened, and the sensing key fell into Fu Chenlie’s palm.

He withdrew his hand just in time, his gaze resting gently on Wen Ran’s face, with a look that seemed to say, "I’ve been good, so how are you going to praise me?"

Jiang Wan Ning watched the tenderness between him and the other woman, unable to help but grit her teeth, and pressed on: "Ah Lie, you’re not going to give this thing to Ms. Wen, are you?"

Fu Chenlie cast her a glance, his eyes suddenly turning cold: "My wife wouldn’t care for something that other women have touched."

"So, what do you plan to do with it?"

"Destroy it, throw it away."

Jiang Wan Ning clenched her fist, grinning as she asked, "You can throw away things, but what about the memories of me in your mind? Can you throw those away too?"

He sternly reminded her: "Wan Ning, it’s been two years, and I’ve already forgotten many things, including giving you the sensing key. If you hadn’t taken it out to use, I wouldn’t have remembered. Now that I’m married, I hope you’ll look forward and not dwell on the past."
