He walked up to her, looking her over from head to toe.

As Wen Ran was eating, the scene from last night of her leaning in to kiss Fu Chenlie kept popping into her mind.

She tried hard to stop herself from thinking about it, but no matter how she tried to hint at herself, it didn’t work.

The more she thought about it, the more awkward it became.

She had never thought that she could have such a fierce side to her.

She sneaked a glance at the man across from her out of the corner of her eye, just in time to meet his gaze.

Wen Ran quickly shifted her eyes away, flustered as if caught red-handed.

Seeing her like that, he smiled slightly, glanced at her left ring finger, and casually asked: "Where’s your ring?"

"Huh?"

"Why is your left ring finger bare?"

Wen Ran’s brain quickly searched, and she remembered that yesterday, she had angrily left the ring on the table in the lounge.

But, she definitely couldn’t tell the truth.

She hastily made up an excuse: "I took it off when washing my face and left it on the sink."

Fu Chenlie snorted lightly.

Wen Ran felt guilty: "Why are you laughing?"

"It’s nothing, you take off your ring to wash your face?"

"Yeah, I’m afraid the diamond might lose its sparkle after coming into contact with facial cleanser or hand soap, after all, it’s a gift from you, and I want to preserve it well."

Breakfast continued without either of them speaking again.

She tilted her head to look at him: "What’s up?"

"I want to ask you something."

The man looked down at her, his deep gaze seeming to hold many unspeakable complex emotions. His voice was deep when he spoke: "Last night’s kiss, did you enjoy it?"

Wen Ran’s eyes narrowed slightly.

She lowered her eyes, looked aside, and denied: "No... didn’t enjoy it."

"Oh?"

Fu Chenlie’s slightly raised tone reached her ears. He leaned in, his thin lips approaching her ear, and spoke in an intensely teasing and seductive tone: "Didn’t enjoy getting on tiptoe to kiss me?"
