Chapter 27: Chapter 27 Have you eaten gunpowder?

Fu Chenlie snorted disdainfully,

Wen Ran, feeling somewhat embarrassed, lowered her head with a blush on her cheeks.

He didn’t like her at all.

This Lu Jinglun was talking nonsense without knowing anything.

Unbeknownst to her, Fu Chenlie had come to stand by her side, blocking the gaze that Lu Jinglun had been fixating on the girl, and glanced at him with displeasure, "Staring at someone’s face the moment you meet them, Lu Jinglun, are you sick in the head?!"

"What’s wrong with looking? I look because Little White Rabbit is pretty."

"She’s not someone you can just look at!"

Lu Jinglun clicked his tongue, "You’ve only just got married and your possessiveness has already been triggered?"

With that, he bumped Fu Chenlie’s shoulder, a smirk not quite reaching his eyes, "Come on, bro, where did you meet Little White Rabbit? Why haven’t you mentioned her before?!"

The latter’s eyes grew cold, "Shut your worthless mouth and mind your own business!"

After speaking, he turned to look at Wen Ran and commanded in his usual authoritative tone, "Take Grandma to private room 206."

Listening to their conversation and feeling embarrassed, Wen Ran didn’t say a word in response to Fu Chenlie’s order, and helped the old lady to the private room, with a clear intention of making a swift escape.

After she left, Lu Jinglun sized up Fu Chenlie with a look, "Did you eat gunpowder?"

Fu Chenlie didn’t pick up on the remark and instead gave a direct order, "Grandma asked you to help Wen Ran with her driving lessons, refuse her."

"What?"

"Are you deaf?"

"Not deaf, but why should I refuse such a good job as teaching Little White Rabbit to drive? I’ve been really bored lately, and I’d be thrilled to have something to do."

With that, Lu Jinglun hurried his step, chasing after the two.

Fu Chenlie watched him go, his face so dark it seemed water could drip from it.

Inside the private room.

After the waiter served dinner, Grandma got straight to the point and spoke to Lu Jinglun about teaching Wen Ran how to drive. He agreed without hesitation.

They arranged to start from the next day at half-past nine in the morning, ending at half-past eleven, two hours a day, until Wen Ran could confidently drive on her own.

The discussion about the driving lessons went smoothly, and everyone seemed to be having a laugh and a good time.

But Fu Chenlie’s expression was steely.

As Lu Jinglun brought the wine glass to his lips, he caught sight of Fu Chenlie’s extremely sour expression, a playful smile tugging at his lips. After setting down the wine glass, he deliberately turned his gaze to Wen Ran, "Little White Rabbit, have you ever had a boyfriend?"

Wen Ran paused, then realized he was addressing her.

She didn’t particularly like Lu Jinglun’s casual, frivolous demeanor.

Especially, were they that familiar? To give her a nickname, Little White Rabbit, she wasn’t one!

Wen Ran met his smiling eyes and solemnly said, "Mr. Lu, you can call me Wen Ran,"

"Alright, have you ever been in love?"

"Mr. Lu and I are meeting for the first time today. I don’t think our relationship warrants discussing that, does it?"

Lu Jinglun glanced at Fu Chenlie, indicating, "I’m asking for your husband."

"Really?" Wen Ran questioned back, and after a subtle glance at "her husband," she unflappably said, "My husband, he has a mouth of his own, does he need Mr. Lu to speak on his behalf?"

Hearing this, Fu Chenlie, who had been silent until then, briefly curled the corner of his mouth into a faint smile. But within a second, his expression returned to normal.

He hadn’t expected that she could be quite talkative.

"You Little White Rabbit, why are you so..." Lu Jinglun was about to say more when Fu Chenlie’s sharp eyes shot towards him like bayonets, "Less nonsense, focus on your meal!"
