Chapter 243: Chapter 243 Teach Her

Cheng Cheng, though curious, dared not inquire about Mr. Fu’s personal matters.

He reported another issue: "Mr. Fu, the housekeeper has been found. She will start working at Huan Island Villa today, and I have told her your villa’s passcode."

"I know."

"Then I’ll leave you to your work, and I’ll step out now."

Fu Chenlie acknowledged with a grunt, waving towards the door.

Cheng Cheng quickly left the CEO’s office.

After the office door closed, Fu Chenlie looked up towards the direction of the driver’s lounge.

From his perspective, Wen Ran appeared to be reading a book, but she hadn’t turned a page for a long time, seemingly lost in a daze, as if she were still savoring the kiss they had just shared.

Could it be that she, too, was reluctant to let the moment end?

This thought brought a slight, unconscious smile to his lips. Realizing he was smiling to himself, he quickly composed himself and decisively turned his attention back to work with a stern face.

Wen Ran felt embarrassed for a long time because of that kiss with Fu Chenlie.

To avoid facing him voluntarily, she didn’t drink a drop of water all afternoon.

That way, she wouldn’t need to go to his private restroom.

At five o’clock, she caught a glimpse of Fu Chenlie standing up, taking his suit jacket in his hand, and walking towards her, presumably ready to leave work.

The man was getting closer; she pretended to read her book until the door of the lounge swung open, and only then did she pretend she had just noticed him coming and turned her head: "Are we getting off work?"

"Do you want to stay for overtime?"

"No."

Immediately after responding, Wen Ran stood up: "Boss, wait for me for a moment, I need to use the restroom."

Fu Chenlie frowned, slightly displeased: "Why do you always go to the restroom just when it’s time to leave?"

"I... I don’t know, maybe it’s urgent," she made up an excuse.

He tilted his chin towards the back, signaling her to go.

Wen Ran hurried off.

While she was in the restroom, he entered the driver’s lounge and flipped through a few pages of the book on Wen Ran’s desk. The thick "Comprehensive Quality" was halfway read; it was clear that, over this period, she had truly been serious about it.

Three minutes later, Wen Ran came out.

As she approached, she spoke to Fu Chenlie: "Alright boss, let’s go off work."

The man who was scrutinizing her lounge turned around and gave her a sidelong glance: "Still calling me boss after work?"

Wen Ran pressed her lips together, hardly hesitating before she changed her wording: "Husband, shall we go home?"

That satisfied him: "Okay."

With that, they both headed out, one after the other.

Underground parking garage.

As Wen Ran was about to climb into the driver’s seat, Fu Chenlie fixed his gaze on her and said: "Mrs. Fu, typically, isn’t it the driver’s job to open the car door for the boss? I recall you have never opened the car door for me."

She paused for a moment, then quickly responded: "I’m sorry boss, it was an oversight."

With that, she immediately went around to open the door for him, respectfully adding: "Boss, please get in the car."

He slightly curved his lips, admonishing her: "Although you are Mrs. Fu, you are also a driver at Fu Group. Fulfill your role diligently, and don’t adopt a lax attitude towards work because of your special status."

Hearing these admonishing words, Wen Ran wanted to ask when she had ever neglected her work due to her special status.
