My Pregnant Contract Wife Ran Away from Me!
Chapter 174: Do You Think I’m a Fool?

Chapter 174: Chapter 174: Do You Think I’m a Fool?

Caught in a trance by his allure.

Yes, she had merely been momentarily enchanted by his looks — it wasn’t some kind of liking, at most it was appreciation.

She wasn’t a masochist, how could she like a man who didn’t even know how to speak?

As they talked, they continued walking toward the entrance of the mall.

Getting closer, Wen Ran could see the little girl she had casually pointed to earlier.

A tiny bundle, with chubby cheeks and big round eyes, her little legs bouncing as she walked — utterly adorable.

She couldn’t help but stare a little longer.

Fu Chenlie followed her gaze, "Like her?"

She instinctively nodded, unable to restrain her exclamation, "That little girl is so beautiful and also so well-behaved and cute, I guess everyone would like her, right?"

He slightly curled his lips, his meaning unclear, "The mother holding her isn’t ugly either. Children naturally resemble their parents, so her being attractive isn’t surprising."

Wen Ran glanced back at the man, raised her eyebrows slightly, and laughed, "You’re looking at other women in front of me?"

Fu Chenlie’s eyes flickered, then he coldly huffed, "Where is your focus?"

"I care where my focus is, but you looked at another woman."

"So what if I did?"

She glared at him, offering four words to the man: "No sense of male virtue."

After those words, Wen Ran quickened her pace out of the mall.

Fu Chenlie was both annoyed and amused.

His main point was about expressing how the child inherited the parents’ genes, hence not being ugly, yet she turned it into an issue about him looking at other women — completely unreasonable, and what was that about "no sense of male virtue"?

For whom should he maintain male virtue?

Her?

The man sneered softly, swiftly caught up to her, and grabbed her wrist. Although disdainful, he explained, "Wen Ran, I was telling you that the child is pretty because her mother is naturally beautiful. Also, I was saying, if you’re interested, we can also have one. You always pride yourself on being pretty and I have top-tier looks. Our child would definitely be even more attractive. Aren’t you curious about what they would look like?"

She replied naturally, "I am curious."

Fu Chenlie’s lips curled up with a bit of expectation and he tentatively asked, "So, shall we have one?"

Wen Ran rolled her eyes, then turned to look at him with a light smile, "Do you think I’m a fool?"

His expression changed instantly, his eyes narrowing, "What do you mean by that?"

She countered his question without a reply, "Just curious about what the child would look like and then have one?"

Continuing, she added, "You think children are like cabbages, stir-fry to taste and if it’s not good, just throw it away. If the child turns out not good looking, can you throw it away like a cabbage?"

The man’s face darkened suddenly, his tone displeased, "What kind of ridiculous analogy is this?"

Wen Ran stood tall, her tone confident, "Rough words but fair point."

He huffed coldly, confident, "Fu Chenlie’s children won’t be unattractive."

"Oh."

"So, shall we have one?"

She casually replied, "Sure, do you prefer a boy or a girl?"

Fu Chenlie could hardly believe what he heard, his gaze incredulous as he looked at her, "You agreed?"

"Yes."

"I’d like a daughter. A daughter would be just as pretty as that little girl we saw earlier, right?"

Wen Ran nodded seriously, "Oh, whenever I fall in love with you, become love-crazed, unable to live without you, crazy for you, heartbroken for you, when all my emotions are moved by you, then I’ll have a child for you... um, a daughter."
