My Pregnant Contract Wife Ran Away from Me!
Chapter 104 You’re meddling too much

Chapter 104: Chapter 104 You’re meddling too much

She knocked on the door while calling out, "Husband? Husband—"

Just as her hand was about to knock again, the door was pulled open from the inside, followed by an angry voice of a man, "Are you insane—"

Before he could finish his sentence, Fu Chenlie saw the two men standing behind Wen Ran.

His gaze faltered briefly, then returned to normal as he calmly spoke, "What brings you here?"

Lu Jinglun glanced at Wen Ran, his eyes resting on Fu Chenlie’s face with a slightly amused expression.

With a grin, he said, "Your wife said you were injured, but you refuse to go to the hospital with her, so she asked me to bring a doctor to check on you. Therefore, I brought Dr. Liang here."

Following his words, Dr. Liang also spoke, "How are you feeling? Still lucid?"

The man coldly dropped three words, "I’m fine."

Wen Ran, seeing his indifferent attitude, couldn’t help but interject, "You’re not a doctor, how do you know if you’re fine? Let Dr. Liang check first to be sure."

Fu Chenlie immediately scolded her, "Is it your place to speak?"

Wen Ran, "..."

She lowered her gaze and silently moved to stand aside.

Lu Jinglun’s gaze swept over Wen Ran’s face before finally settling on Fu Chenlie’s face, "Aren’t you being too harsh on Little White Rabbit? No wonder she ended up hurting you directly, I think you deserved it."

Hearing this, Fu Chenlie’s look at Wen Ran turned even colder.

She actually told Lu Jinglun that she was the one who injured his head?!

Feeling his stare, Wen Ran shivered uncontrollably.

She clearly knew that Fu Chenlie felt that she had embarrassed him in front of Lu Jinglun—after all, being injured by a woman did sound rather pathetic.

Seeing that Fu Chenlie was uncooperative about being examined, Dr. Liang took the initiative to walk behind him, lifted his hair, and glimpsed at the wound, a trace of surprise flashing in his eyes.

He couldn’t help but glance at Wen Ran.

Wen Ran looked innocent.

Dr. Liang, lips curling into a smile, asked, "How was this wound treated?"

"Cleaned with hydrogen peroxide and then applied Yunnan Baiyao," she replied.

"When Mrs. Fu was cleaning it with hydrogen peroxide, did she ask if it hurt?" asked Dr. Liang.

Wen Ran answered subconsciously, "I asked."

Dr. Liang looked at her, "What did your husband say?"

Wen Ran thought for a moment.

What did he say?

So what if he said it hurt, then she suggested yelling to vent, and then he said he only needed to vent his desires.

Those words definitely couldn’t be told to Dr. Liang.

Fu Chenlie, perhaps recalling something inappropriate he had said, glared at Dr. Liang irritably, "Why so much nonsense? Just leave if you’re done checking, I’m fine."

Dr. Liang said, "You are not fine."

Hearing this, Wen Ran quickly asked, "Dr. Liang, is it serious?"

"The wound is not shallow, it needs stitches, at least three," he responded, then with a half-smile, asked her, "Also, what was it that hit him?"

Before she could respond, Fu Chenlie impatiently questioned, "Are you asking too many questions?"

Much more patient than Fu Chenlie, Dr. Liang said, "I’m just trying to understand the situation from the perspective of treating the patient. If it was glassware, we’d need to check if there are foreign objects inside the wound, which might cause you some trouble."

"I used a wireless charger," Wen Ran answered, then cautiously added, "But the charger is intact; there shouldn’t be any foreign objects in his wound."

Dr. Liang slightly lifted his brow, "Really? It seems Mrs. Fu didn’t go easy."
