Chapter 928: 315. "Old Friends Reunion" of the Dark Female Baron_3
"You don’t even need to be particularly detailed, just sketch out the area where your group is active to the best of your ability, and then you can spend the rest of your ’labor reformation’ as a captive in Crimson Castle,"
"I promise not to hurt you, but you’d better behave."
"You’re insane!"
The Necromancer roared:
"My Life Box is in their hands; they can command me to do many things. I’ve told you I don’t want to be involved in the feud between the Jackals and you!
Can’t you just let me go like a fart in the wind?
What service could a small fry like me possibly provide you, even if you hold me in your grasp? No! I am just a Necromancer sent out to cause some trouble, sir.
I wasn’t much of a big shot when I was alive, and I certainly won’t rise to greatness after I’ve died."
"I want these Skeleton War Horses!"
Murphy didn’t bother with pleasantries with the Necromancer, pointing at the quiet Skeleton War Horse beside him, he said to the Necromancer:
"You will make 500... no, 1000 for me, and your labor reformation will be considered complete. I’ll set you free, since you have an eternity to squander anyway.
Rest assured, I always keep my word.
By the time you finish your work, those Jackal Warlocks controlling you will probably have been dealt with by my Warriors, too. If you behave well, I might even return your Life Box to you."
While speaking, Murphy glanced at Cui Si.
The fact that the Blood Vulture Duke, who shared his intentions, didn’t stop him meant Cui Si was very confident about controlling this enemy Necromancer, making it obediently become one of Murphy’s labor force in Crimson Castle.
With Cui Si’s assurance, Murphy was no longer worried. He took the commanding staff that Cui Si had already "unlocked" and, while letting his Spiritual Energy seep into it, casually asked:
"One last question, your identity... your identity when you were alive! You just said ’Avalon above,’ which proves you were once an Old Education follower?
You died over twenty years ago when the Old Education was still flourishing. I’m quite curious, why did you die in the Polluted Swamp? Were you on some special mission at that time?"
"I refuse to answer that question, not because I can’t, but because I don’t want to!
It’s my personal affair, for heaven’s sake, I’m already dead and resurrected, having lost every right that comes with being born human. My memories are the last treasure I have left!
You!
Or anyone else!
You won’t take it away from me!
It’s mine and mine alone!"
The Necromancer yelled and refused to answer, and the vivid emotions it expressed clearly exceeded the deathly posture typical of Undead creatures.
This indicated that Murphy’s question had indeed touched the bottom line of this fellow.
"Take it back."
Murphy said to Cui Si:
"Get it accustomed to the shadows of the Blood Eagle Corridor and then begin work immediately. By the time the hundred-day construction ends, I must have those war horses that exist as a reward."
"You’re going into the swamp?"
Cui Si glanced at Murphy and reminded him:
"Don’t go in now; no one knows what the situation is inside."
"I know. I’ll have the Jackals enter first to scout the situation,"
Murphy said as he toyed with the Festival wand, "I’ve learned not to take unnecessary risks, after all, I’m no longer just responsible for my own life and future. Go back first, I need to see Hog.
Moreover, could those Plague Warlocks observe our city and secrets through this guy’s Eye?"
"They could, but they won’t be able to."
Cui Si waved the Nocturne Wand to open a rift to Crimson Castle, yawned, and said:
"At least under my watch, they are not capable."
"That’s my good girl."
Murphy laughed, only to be met with a fierce glare from Cui Si.
Then the Duke left the area with his captive, while Murphy patted the quiet Skeleton War Horse, mounted it, and pulled the luxurious reins to turn its head before charging towards Smugglers’ Forest again.
He wanted to check on his little players.
Meanwhile, Cui Si took the Necromancer back to the Scarlet Corridor, summoning Adel to escort the captive to a newly cleared underground cell to begin its work.
Adel arrived shortly after.
But upon seeing the Necromancer, she and the Necromancer almost simultaneously let out cries of shock.
"Adel? You’ve become a Vampire? Avalon above!"
"You... you are... Uncle Bella?"
E Sister shuddered and quickly stepped forward to remove the hood covering the Necromancer’s face.
Upon seeing the dried corpse-like horror of the face before her, still with the familiar contours, Lady Adel also cried out in despair:
"No! What have they done to you..."
