Chapter 318: 112. The good news is that the newbies have a monster brushing area, the bad news is...【52/60】_1

"Holy shit! What the hell is this, a nightmare coming true?"

Wumeioge, who had just managed to climb out of the collapsed Blood Eagle Corridor, now looked ragged, as if he were on the brink of death.

His four loyal confidants and his cousin Little Hand had all died in the battle. The shameful truth was that four out of the five were killed by his own hands when they lost control in the SC, yet he didn’t get the chance to catch his breath before another disaster met his eyes. He remained frozen on the spot, then let out a classic player-style scream.

However, there was no one left to echo his shock.

Of the 60 players who had entered the corridor, he was the only one left. Such a disastrous scene could not be described...

"Damn it! The sky is broken again?"

Another shocked voice made him turn around to see Precipitated Niu Niu, covered in mud and carrying the exhausted Invincible Tyrannosaurus Truck, climbing up from the ruined spiral staircase.

Well then.

The good news was that there were still three of them left after the sub-dungeon ravage.

The bad news, however, was that this couldn’t change the dire reality they were in.

This was probably the most gruesome of all battles since they joined "Real Different World." But the most important good news was they won!

The arrogant Salockdale had been slain!

They made it through the Blood Eagle Corridor!

However, before they could rejoice in their victory, the three lucky survivors first needed to figure out what had just transpired. Above them, in the sky just over the barren inner city of Cardman City, the starry night sky was once again "shattered."

Just like when Cardman City had been invaded by spiritual energy due to the Star Realm Rend Spell.

Such shattering showed in the sky as cracks on glass, where a long and narrow "Star Realm Scar" stretched across the stars. Flickering purple dots danced behind the darkness of the void.

"When we banished such a massive amount of subspace spiritual energy to the Star Realm, it inevitably had a significant impact on the mapping of the Star Realm and the physical world. Yes, the recently healed Star Realm Rift has been opened again.

This time, it’s probably not going to heal as easily," said the pale-faced Lady Cui Si who leaned on a magic wand and spoke Mandarin with a strange accent.

She explained to the three "players" what had happened. Behind her, Milian and Major Fraser, who had come close to actual death and had just experienced something so intense, staggered their way out of the spiritual transfer portal, barely able to keep their legs.

It was not the time to be arguing about who was the enemy. They just wanted some peace!

And don’t ask who that peace belongs to!

"What effect will this have on Cardman City?" Wumeioge asked as he tried to catch his breath, "We just regained our territories, do we really have to abandon them now?"

"Speak slowly, Warrior! Spare some thoughts for my delicate understanding. After all, I just learned your overly complicated language..." Lady Cui Si scolded in displeasure.

But then, she sighed and pointed to the familiar black smoke-like spiritual energy flow that was seeping from the "Star Realm Scar" above them. She told Wumeioge, Niu Niu, and Cheche, who was gasping for breath and continuously slapping himself to stay awake:

"There won’t be much more impact, because this rift was not caused from within the Star Realm. Therefore, its manifestation and destruction in the physical world are far less terrifying than the previous one, and its influence will only be limited to parts of the inner city.

But the bad news is, Star Realm shadows will be scattered throughout this region just like the old city outskirts, along with some extraterrestrial beasts and oddities from the Star Realm.

As for when it will heal...

If I must give a specific time frame, I would guess that this formation influenced by subspace will maintain its current state for at least ten years before it starts to slowly heal. That’s only if it isn’t stimulated by external sources."

"Huh?"

Wumeioge and Niu Niu shared a glance. Cheche, who Niu Niu had put down on the ground, was panting for breath and exclaimed,

"So, are you saying the monster-spawning zone we had will appear again? And this time it will be bigger, and for a longer duration? Damn! The game developers sure have mean tricks up their sleeves. Creating an open world leveling spot for newbies like this."

"What are you talking about?"

Lady Cui Si turned around with a puzzled look, and asked,

"What is ’game developers’? ’Noobs’? ’Open world’? What do these mean?"

"It means nothing. They’re just colloquial phrases from Another World."

Before the three players could respond, Murphy’s exhausted voice echoed from the night sky behind them.

Lady Cui Si turned around in surprise, only to see her own descendant Murphy landing slowly with his large blood wings retracted. His elder armor was torn and tattered, and he carried a demon sword around his waist that looked familiar no matter how she examined it.

Apart from that, Murphy didn’t seem to have other injuries.

Lady Cui Si came closer and anxiously felt Murphy all over to check for hidden injuries.

No one understood better than Lady Cui Si how dangerous Salockdale and subspace evils could be. She was terrified that Murphy might suffer lifelong problems due to this.

Looking down at the anxious Cui Si, an overpowering emotion surged up inside Murphy. He spread his arms and finally held Cui Si in his embrace for the first time.
