Chapter 1491: 502. The "Longzhong Pair" of Happy Stick_2
Therefore, you need not worry about the issue of strength.
But I must remind you, the assembly of the Army of Dark Disaster in the Dark Mountain Range has been completed.
They may soon start to advance outward, and currently, the various races’ defending forces in the Brass Fortress have entered a state of total defense, with the Supreme Lord of the Brass Dwarves and the Ranger General of the Forest Elves both having arrived at the fortress to oversee the battle.
The situation here is on a knife-edge, yet your side hasn’t felt the pressure yet.
Thus, if you confirm to set up the defensive line against the Black Disaster at Wasteland Mountain, then within the next month, you must complete the assembly behind our position.
I can promise you that the Blood Covenant Knights at Wasteland Mountain will not abandon their positions until they are all dead, but I hope you are mentally prepared.
The sacrifices and brutality of fighting them on their turf will far exceed your imagination."
"I am mentally prepared, my lord,"
Morphy said with a firm tone:
"Then, let’s meet again at the Wasteland Mountain position."
"Hmm."
The lord nodded his head, decisively ending the communication through the Crystal Stone. In his studio, this handsome individual played with the Crystal Stone in his hand and then turned to glance over his shoulder at the just-begun painting.
He sighed.
Indeed, as Morphy had said, after hearing about this, the lord found himself utterly devoid of any desire to continue creating.
Even with a millennium of experiences, he couldn’t help but lament in his mind as to why things in Transylvania were always so terrible?
However, the lord soon pondered another issue.
Why was the place of creation hidden in the Swamp Forbidden Area discovered by Morphy, and from the description of that young Vampire Governor, it seemed he had fully understood the operation and purpose of the place of creation.
That is the place of creation!
Not just any ordinary place, even Lord Paryen himself had to make thorough preparations before entering it. Either Morphy had a big heart, or perhaps this young man possessed some secrets about himself that he had yet to discover.
The lord massaged his temples and walked out of the studio, images that he had forgotten flashing through his mind—those incomprehensible snapshots not arranged according to chronological order, eventually freezing in a sky full of dancing purple luminance, as though the entire world was to be incinerated within it.
"Eden... life greenhouse... Alpha project..."
Lord Paryen repeatedly pondered these terms that would always jump into his heart at midnight yet remained a mystery to him. He knew this information must be important, but he could not understand why he chose to forget.
He indeed remembered more than the other Dukes, but those fragmented memories prevented him from forming any coherent narrative.
So, what exactly happened when he and the other Vampire Dukes staggered out of the Dark Mountain Range at the beginning?
Ah.
This darned conundrum.
It seemed that if there were time during the Black Disaster, he would need to make a trip to the Swamp Forbidden Area.

"Salutations, Governor Morphy! Your presence at our inspection of the Maginot Line brightens up this place!"
On the bustling construction site outside the Polluted Swamp, Stick Brother slapped his Blood Wings and rose into the air, instantly spotting Sir Morphy overseeing the entire Maginot Line from high above.
As the commander of the line, Stick Brother immediately approached Sir Morphy with effusive flattery, proudly taking the main NPC on a "tour" of his defensive line.
The advantage of being able to fly was evident here; Morphy did not need to walk back and forth along the line, as he could see the entire panoramic view of the defenses from above.
This defensive line, entirely chosen and designed by players, was not like the Great Wall that encircles the Polluted Swamp. Instead, it was sporadic, and from above, it would even be hard to identify as a contiguous line.
To Morphy, an outsider, it seemed like just a few isolated fortress clusters sandwiched between the swamp and the Dark Baron Territory.
However, he did discern some logic to it. For instance, on the high ground between several fortress clusters, artillery positions had been pre-set, with considerable labor currently constructing roads nearby for the transport of cannons.
Like nails hammered into the ground, linking these scattered points together precisely formed a defense line circling the swamp area.
Next to him, Stick Brother, with a tongue as smooth as Orchid, presented his defensive line to Sir Morphy:
"Currently, nine fire power fortresses have been constructed. Out of them, we carefully selected three locations to build larger and more complex permanent defenses, all chosen after repeated study of the previous four instances of the Black Disaster to identify the areas most prone to breach.
The Stonemason Brotherhood adopted a more reliable plan.
By coordinating surface bunkers with underground facilities, we connected these three locations to form the core of the Maginot Line. The three main positions are interconnected by tunnels dug by the Gnolls underground, perfectly blocking several of the most accessible passages from the Polluted Swamp to Transylvania."
Stick Brother pointed out the three established bunker clusters below to Morphy, explaining:
"We will deploy a large number of cannons and layered trenches at these three positions. Even the shortest battlefield front measures three kilometers longitudinally and five kilometers laterally.
This battlefield width will limit the numerical superiority of the Wolf People and allow us to maximize our advantages. Once engaged in wartime conditions, we will also bury a massive number of mines in these key defense areas to slow down the enemy’s assault."
